I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 466: 449: The Unexpected SurpriseChapter 466: Chapter 449: The Unexpected Surprise

Liu Jidong: “Ah ah ah! There are seven events this year!”

Edwin: “Caught up this year, there’s a red envelope rain, too! Rubbing my hands together~”

Song Qing: “Is a ghostly trend popular in Qingshan City for the New Year? But I like it!”

Chen Rongrong: “The point is there’s a treasure hunt! A thrilling themed treasure hunt park? And it’s free for a limited time, I’m so looking forward to it!”

Li Baoye: “There are still 59 hours, 32 minutes, and 21 seconds until New Year’s Eve, it’s so hard to wait!”

Liu Yutong: “Everyone, the test house has expanded to 20 rooms, and it’s finally my turn!”

Xie Sen: “An animal sports meeting? What in the world is that? It’s over, my fool wants to participate, who do I go to register with?”

Zheng Jing: “Me!”

Sindar: “Elf concerts!!! Front row seats booked! (✧◡✧)”

...

After Mu Ying sent out the notice, she simply lay down flat.

She had finished all her preparation work by this time, and just like the local people, she only needed to wait for the New Year to arrive.

In the last few days, Mu Ying had taken a little break for herself.

Aside from caring for the plants at the plantation, she spent the rest of the time in her little cabin in the Elf Village.

She wasn’t trying out spells or practicing much magic; she spent her days making little things to decorate her cabin, following the example of other elves.

She made herself some little cups and flowerpots.

On the window sill, she grew Lamp Vine that clung to the window frame, lighting up the whole cabin.

Beyond that, outside her cabin door, she built a large swing from branches; the swing had small bells hanging, that jingled every time she swung on it.

These things didn’t take much effort at all; she spent most of her time sitting by the window daydreaming or, without using Spell, practicing to move swiftly through trees, working on her agility and balance.

In the beginning, she fell a couple of times, but she became proficient quite quickly. As Sister Layla put it, “It’s all instinct for an elf. With your Attributes and body structure not holding you back, achieving this is a breeze. It’s just that your previous knowledge confined you, making you feel you couldn’t do it.”

On sunny afternoons, she would transform into Wolf Form or Brown Bear and bask in the sun within the woods or watch the elves rehearse for their performances.

It was truly very comfortable.

The figurine Shi Yin had, a couple days ago, “run away from home” again with his little bundle.

Mu Ying guessed he would definitely rush back before the New Year to celebrate her birthday with her, but she was uncertain if he could come back earlier this time.

The day before New Year’s Eve, Mu Ying decided to have a good sleep.

When idle, sleeping for her was less about replenishing energy and more about relaxation.

Her spirits were high, and her endurance was getting longer, but she still enjoyed the feeling of sleep.

Sleep well tonight and play in the morning.

Lying in her log bed, she fell into a drowsy sleep.

A silver Wolf Brush drifted down from the starry sky, descended slowly through the window, and transformed into a wolf-eared young boy with a little bundle.

The silver eyes rested on the girl sleeping in the bed; the ragged clothes on him were gone, as well as the dark circles he had used to look pitiful.

Then, he quietly started to stack up blocks on the carpet in the room.

An arch made of blocks, a bit taller than the one from the previous year, slowly took shape.

The figure nodded seriously, glanced at the girl in the bed again, and transformed into a silver Wolf Brush that came to rest on the top of the arch of blocks.

Soft blue light flickered on, and the portal was formed!

A giant silver wolf squeezed its way out of the door, pushing the black and white fur ball to one side and hunching over beside the bed, even its breathing was lightened, eyes filled with longing.

As the sky began to lighten, Mu Ying sleepily turned over, half-opening her eyes, as if she saw a hand.

Pale and slender, with distinct joints.

She was fully awake now, her heart almost leaping out, the happy kind.

Her gaze moved upwards, landing on the familiar profile: messy silver-white hair and slightly quivering wolf ears.

Her boy had come home.

Mu Ying, feeling a little mischievous, reached out to grasp Shi Yin’s wolf ear, giving it a pinch.

The silver eyes were smiling, “Awake?”

“How come you’re back so early this time?” Mu Ying smoothed his hair for him.

“I’ve gotten better control over my bloodline abilities. This time I can stay for an extra day, I wanted to spend the New Year with you,” Shi Yin replied with a smile.

“Really?” Mu Ying was overjoyed. “Let’s take a magic potion and go out to play. There are lots of activities in the territory for the New Year!”

“Okay,” Shi Yin propped his chin, watching her.

Mu Ying stood up and twirled around, and her nightdress-like Thousand Faces Clothes transformed into a red underdress with silver trim, draped with a silver-white satin-edge cape.

Shi Yin passed a hand over himself, and a silver armor with red trim appeared on him; a cloak similar to Mu Ying’s appeared on him too.

“Thousand Faces Clothes?” Mu Ying raised an eyebrow.

“Mm, they came out with a male version,” said Shi Yin.

Mu Ying nodded, took out two bottles of magic potion, and handed one to Shi Yin: “I made this myself, a Disguise Potion, which can change your appearance; let’s change our eye and hair color to black!”

“If we don’t change our appearance, we might still be recognized, right?” Shi Yin was mainly worried about Mu Ying; his avatar had been by her side, witnessing her build up the territory bit by bit and shelter so many people.

“If they recognize me, so be it, let them guess!” Mu Ying said nonchalantly.

She didn’t want Shi Yin to finally come back only for her not to see his true face.

His hair and eye color were too distinctive, and Mu Ying remembered that Shi Yin still had enemies.

Similarly, she didn’t want to finally see him and only have him see her disguised face.

So, they would just have to go for broke; as long as their hair and eye color blended in with the crowd, being recognized wouldn’t be a big deal – it would be the perfect opportunity to introduce Shi Yin to everyone!

After drinking the magic potion, Mu Ying was about to take Shi Yin by the hand and go for breakfast in the territory when she suddenly felt her cape get heavier.

Gungun, dressed in a little red jacket: [○・`Д ́・○]

“Cough,” Mu Ying cleared her throat softly, “Gungun, you’re the biggest child in our family. Today, I’m entrusting you with an important task: take care of your brothers and sisters, here’s some pocket money. We’ll go back to the plantation in the evening, and I’ll make you something delicious. I believe you can do it!”

She really wasn’t discarding her children at the sight of her lover. Even if Shi Yin hadn’t returned today, she had intended to go out on her own. After all, Gungun and the others were too large and conspicuous. With them around, her Disguise Potion would be of no use!

Gungun: ╭(╯^╰)╮

“Please?”

Gungun released the cloak it was clutching with its paws: Go on then!

“Good girl~ Tell Da Ming that I will come to watch the competition; tell it to do its best!”

Gungun: →_→

Mu Ying, very excited, took Shi Yin by the hand and teleported to the edge of Moon Lake, “What do you want for breakfast? There are many more food options in the territory now!”
