Chapter 475: 458 Purple Gold CoinChapter 475: Chapter 458 Purple Gold Coin

“You don’t even know what a Purple Gold Coin is, and you’re this poor—how do you still have the confidence that we’d accept your recruitment?” Ferilon suddenly felt that their previous inability to clarify things with Sindar made them look like fools.

Are all human lords so broke in this era? Not knowing what a Purple Gold Coin is, yet still daring to try to recruit Elves?

The players around, who also had no idea what a Purple Gold Coin was, felt as if they had been shot in the chest. Most of them hadn’t even touched a Gold Coin, let alone possess one. Starting with a Lord Token and having a territory for support, Sindar looked poor to the Elves. So, were they not all just refugees?

“Lord, what exactly is a Purple Gold Coin? Is it a higher currency unit than the Gold Coin, equivalent to a hundred Gold Coins?”

A player couldn’t help but ask.

After all, the exchange rate between a Gold Coin and a Silver Coin, and a Silver Coin and a Copper Coin is one hundred to one, but as the lord of Maple Town, Sindar surely had more than a hundred Gold Coins!

It’s said that just constructing a Long-distance Transmission Array costs a hundred Gold Coins, and a Cross-Regional Transfer Array is even pricier. Although it’s unclear what collaboration model between Maple Town and Qingshan City’s Cross-Regional Transfer Array is, the financial situation of Maple Town should be okay!

“One Purple Gold Coin is equivalent to ten thousand Gold Coins,” Mu Ying said.

“Hiss!”

The players all gasped, ten thousand Gold Coins, a number beyond their wildest dreams. Everyone’s gaze once again fell on Sindar, and they instantly shook their heads.

It was impressive for Maple Town to even have a thousand Gold Coins, let alone ten thousand. If there really were ten thousand Gold Coins, they could have used some for territory development and upgraded to City-level Territory by now.

Suddenly, Elves, each of whom could have at least a bag full of Purple Gold Coins, indeed looked like millionaires.

With money and strength, why would they need to depend on anyone else?

Sindar, overwhelmed by shame, finally couldn’t utter another word about recruitment and teleported away with a flash.

“Lord, is our territory really rich enough to have Purple Gold Coins?” a player asked.

In their eyes, Qingshan City really provided good welfare, had given plenty of benefits to the local people, and had built so many transfer arrays—all of which cost money. It seemed unlikely that they could have amassed Purple Gold Coins.

“Our territory is quite poor, but I am rich!” Mu Ying said.

“How rich?” a player asked.

“Way beyond your imagination!” Mu Ying playfully said.

After teasing the local people, Mu Ying continued with her spell casting.

Although this matter was hotly discussed in various player groups without lords, it surprisingly didn’t ferment much on the territory forums. Instead, a few related posts rocketed to the top ranks on the World Forum.

[All locals of Qingshan City are backed by a rich woman!!!]

[Those present are broke, they’ve never even seen a Purple Gold Coin!]

“Do you know why Qingshan City has developed so rapidly and smoothly? Because not only does our lord make correct decisions and possess leadership skills, but most importantly, she’s super rich! She’s a wealthy woman who owns Purple Gold Coins and can recruit elves whose minimum worth is a bag of Purple Gold Coins!”

“One Purple Gold Coin equals ten thousand Gold Coins? Are you serious?”

“Of course, our lord personally confirmed it. She said her wealth is beyond our imagination in such a dominant fashion—too awesome, too lovable!”

“No wonder your Lord hands out red envelopes and loses money selling discount food during the New Year. It’s because she is rich!”

“It’s like all the revenue from the territory of Qingshan City is used for its development, and even Mu Ying might be putting in her own money. No wonder she dares to say she is willing to establish a Cross-Regional Transfer Array with any voluntarily cooperative Main Territory, and even created a network that includes all unclaimed territories in the Xia Country Region! That’s the power of money! But what about other territories? Their income has to support both the development of the territory and sustain the Lord. The gap is too large!”

“Looking at it this way, the competition for the City-level Territory barely holds any suspense. With money and capabilities, Qingshan City will definitely become the number one city on Deep Blue Star. I’m even more determined to develop there.”

“Welcome, welcome!”

“I just want to know, why is Mu Ying so rich compared to other players?”

“Vampire, yeah, a vampire who has lived for hundreds of years must be very rich. Mu Ying single-handedly took down a vampire’s lair. She must have made a fortune!”

“So the strength of a Lord is also very important. A weak Lord relies on the territory for support, while a strong Lord supports the territory.”

“What about the Lord of Maz City?”

“That’s a mage, way too lavish!”

“Speaking of which, Mu Ying has merged with the Elf Bloodline, right? Maybe this money was given to her by the elves? I heard from outsiders that elves are a very protective race. They treat their own kind very well. This might explain why those elves didn’t hesitate to cross the ocean and leave their original homes to move to Qingshan City.”

“It’s not just the elves who are rich; I think most of the friendly Foreign Races like the Mermaid Clan and the Half-Breeds in Qingshan City are also quite wealthy. I wonder if from the perspective of outsiders, Deep Blue Star is seen as a slum? There might only be Mu Ying who has assets over one Purple Gold Coin.”

“It’s natural for them to have more wealth accumulated over many lifetimes compared to what we have saved in two years, isn’t it?”

...

No matter how it is discussed on the World Forum, it does not affect Mu Ying.

But privately, the Local People have come up with two new nicknames for Mu Ying: “Rich Boss Lady,” and “Qingshan City’s Treasure.”

They tiptoe around to watch Mu Ying cast spells, admiring the low-key yet profound aura of wealth about her, treating her like a human-shaped talisman for good fortune.

Especially those who love betting in taverns feel they must visit Mu Ying to rub off some of her good fortune, or else they believe they are bound to lose.

They don’t come for nothing either; those who can afford it even bring gifts for Mu Ying.

At night, after Mu Ying had finished casting spells, she was surprised to find that the two elf guardians by her side and the grass around them were piled high with items.

“What’s going on?” Mu Ying was baffled.

Although she could still hear sounds while casting spells, her Perception had significantly decreased, and she had difficulty sensing quieter noises.

“These are gifts from players, some hoping you would bless them to become wealthy, others expressing their fondness and admiration, and some thanking you for what you’ve done for them, showing they care about you,” Layla explained.

Apart from those who wanted her blessings for fortune, which was somewhat odd, the rest were very heartwarming. Mu Ying collected all these gifts and opened each one when she went back to rest.

Most turned out to be somewhat valuable.

In Mu Ying’s eyes, anything given by the Local People that was worth more than three copper coins was considered valuable, especially since some ordinary people without any particular skills found it hard to save even a single copper coin while ensuring their basic needs were met.
