I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 456: 439: Elf VillageChapter 456: Chapter 439: Elf Village

“A normal elf of your age, if well-nourished, needs only an hour of rest each day, and after reaching adulthood, sleeping once a month will suffice,” Furris said.

Mu Ying somewhat believed her, as she indeed was malnourished and might really need the help of these elves: “Then I’ll allocate a sub-camp for you to manage!”

“Yes!” Furris presented a ring with both hands, “This ring was specially ordered for you by the royal court, it is a symbol of your identity. If you are killed, this ring will mark your enemy, and the Elf Clan will pursue the matter to the end. This is also a space ring, inside of which is the growth fund prepared by the royal court for a Divine Descendant, and only your blood can recognize and open it.”

Mu Ying accepted the ring and saw that on the inside, in Elf Language, it was engraved with ‘The Thirty-Seventh Pure-blooded Goddess Mu Ying’.”

“How many children does Lord Correlon have?” Mu Ying asked, at a loss for words.

“As confirmed by the royal court, you are the thirty-seventh pure-blooded Divine Son or Goddess, and also the only one within the last hundred years,” Furris said.

“What about the half-breeds?” She had once been a half-breed herself!

Furris did not answer.

Mu Ying understood; with thirty-seven pure-bloods already, the number of half-breeds was likely beyond count!

She had confirmed it: the man who sired children everywhere was indeed a deadbeat father.

After recognizing the ring with her blood, she sent her consciousness into the space ring.

So much money!

Mu Ying saw a purple gold coin mountain.

With such a wealthy father, Mu Ying admitted she was quite pleased!

The more she looked at her subordinate Guardian Elves, the more pleasing they became—such is the power of money!

She then asked these elves to introduce themselves, including their profession, level, and specialties.

Mu Ying never imagined that her Guardian Elves would be so talented.

There were fifty elves, an equal mix of males and females, all between levels 9 and 10, each with their own specialties.

Some were skilled in brewing, some in forging, some in shipbuilding, there were nutritionists who knew how to care for and raise younglings, others were adept at building houses, and some were very good at planting Elf Fruit Trees, and so on.

Like Furris, who was the best at caring for and raising young elves, and had the strongest management and coordination abilities, becoming the invisible leader of the Guardian Elf team.

Mu Ying decided to let them do what they were best at.

“Ferilon, you and the others skilled in shipbuilding will be in charge of the Harbor Camp. Right now the main focus is on constructing ocean-going cargo ships and coastal fishing vessels, as well as the port and shipyard construction. Let me know if you have any ideas,” she said.

Despite the existence of transmission arrays, they had a small transport capacity and were expensive; using them for ordinary bulk goods would lead to losses, so traditional transportation methods were still necessary.

Ferilon was the shipbuilder within the team of Guardian Elves, and it was aboard the ships he made that the elves arrived at Qingshan City.

Mu Ying appointed him as the head of the Harbor Camp, granting him administrator privileges on the Territory Internal Network and a Dingling Flower, treating him no different from other leaders within the territory.

“Layla, you and the others who can brew, I’ll allocate a Tree House for you, and you can start a brewery.”

“Didas, you and the others skilled in construction, help me look into the territorial planning. You’re welcome to share any thoughts you have on this aspect of the territory with me in the future.”

“Layton, those of you skilled in forging can open an equipment shop.”

...

“Furris, you will be in charge of taking care of me, as a personal life secretary and work secretary!”

Mu Ying said.

She now had secretaries and subordinates too!

“Yes!” the elves responded in unison.

Furris even asked, “What about the personal guards?”

“I don’t have any enemies right now, and the way I go out is very secretive, so there won’t be any danger. Therefore, I temporarily don’t need you to protect my safety. Just settle down in the territory according to what you are good at. Those who work for the territory will get Contribution Points or money as rewards just like the other residents, and it’s the same with running a shop. I’ll only collect rent and taxes. The things I talked about earlier can be done slowly after you have settled down, no need to rush. Just treat this place as your new home. We also need to keep our relationship a secret for now. To outsiders, you can say that you are like the Half-Breeds, who bought the Sub-camp on credit with Contribution Points.”

In fact, Mu Ying just wanted the elves to integrate well into the territory.

As long as they were in the territory, they would inevitably be of service to her, and with the oath in place, they would essentially not betray her. They were all prime leeks!

“Yes!”

After the elves chose a location for their camp, Mu Ying helped them build it.

The camp was set up in the forest with a stream flowing through it, and there was a clearing by the stream that could be used for planting things.

Mu Ying didn’t need to build Tree Houses for them; they wanted to construct their own homelands.

The control for the short-distance Transmission Array between the Sub-camp and the Main Territory was also handed over to the leading elf, Furris.

The elves didn’t want to open the Sub-camp to outsiders; they just wanted to create a living space they loved.

After settling the elves and adding them as friends, Mu Ying created an Elf Village group chat, gave them some Dingling Flowers, and then left the Sub-camp that was soon to become an Elf Village. However, to entertain the elves, she planned to treat them to a fruit banquet that evening.

“The little goddess is only twenty years old, even smarter than I was at two hundred!”

“The little elf looks so adorable, all serious like a little adult!”

“I love this forest; the natural aura is so strong!”

...

As soon as Mu Ying left, a group of two to three hundred-year-old young elves shed their solemn demeanor and started chattering excitedly.

“Alright, alright, quiet down now. The little goddess is only twenty and already a level 9 Druid; her future achievements are boundless. There’s not much we can shelter her from; let’s just protect this territory for her. Let’s build up the village quickly to alleviate some of the little goddess’ burdens. She’s too tired, worrying so much as a child could stunt her growth!”

Having lived for hundreds of years, the adult elf Furris loved the little elves. Leaving aside her subordinate and Guardian Elf roles, she had automatically slipped into the role of an elderly mother.

Their goddess was just too sensible, too heartbreaking!

During her days in Qingshan City, she had learned about some of the little goddess’ past, hearing that she once was an orphan! Oh, Divine King...

No wonder her Talent was so good, yet she was malnourished!

We must quickly plant a large quantity of Grandma Fruit. She started eating them late, and they probably shouldn’t be stopped before adulthood. And there are other Elf Fruits too. How can one grow properly just by eating meat?

Furris urged the other elves to get busy.

At this moment, Mu Ying was still contemplating how to use the evening’s fruit banquet to get closer to the elves and help them relax.

Because of their initial formality and the way they saluted, everything seemed too solemn. She had initially thought these elves, with an average age of several hundred years, would be quite serious.

She had no idea they would act like this after she left!
