I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 463: 446: Hands-Off ManagerChapter 463: Chapter 446: Hands-Off Manager

The little house wasn’t as big as her tree house in the Main Territory, but it was filled with care.

Inside, everything was made by the elves themselves, imbued with the distinctive style of the elves.

Perhaps her Elf Bloodline had long influenced her preferences, as she had liked this style for more than just a day or two.

“How about it? It looks nice, doesn’t it?” Layla said.

Mu Ying nodded, “It’s beautiful, thank you guys!”

“We’re family, what’s there to thank, from now on this is your home,” Layla waved her hands, “Come on, let’s go find Furris and the others!”

In the forest clearing, some elves were sitting in trees, others on the grass, all very casual.

“Here comes Mu Ying! Come quickly and try the fruit we’ve just planted, all favorites of the little elves!”

Mu Ying sat among the elf brothers and sisters, her arms filled with a heap of fruits.

Gungun, Da Ming, and the Gem Fairies were also not left out.

Mu Ying munched on the fruit, enjoying the elves’ spontaneous performances, and was incredibly happy.

After eating a lot of fruit, the vegetarian gene in her bloodline was awakened, letting her feel the joy of consuming fruit.

However, her taste for heavy and meaty dishes was also a passion, considering she was also a green witch.

The elves’ forest concert cum dance, poetry, and story session lasted the entire night.

Everyone present were adult elves who could go several days without sleep. Mu Ying, still a minor elf, had slept well before coming, and didn’t feel tired at all from the overnight festivities.

Only at sunrise did everyone disperse, leisurely attending to their own affairs.

Some took advantage of the fine sunlight to lie on the grass and sunbathe.

Others went to nurture the village trees so they would grow taller.

Some went off to play with the small animals in the forest.

In short, after the initial setup of the Elf Village, the elves had days filled with idleness.

In Mu Ying’s view, if human beings had a lifespan of a hundred years, starting to retire in their fifties or sixties, the elves seemed to be retired from birth.

Every day, they pursued making their lives more interesting and happy.

Seeing this, Mu Ying really wanted to lie back and enjoy herself here; it was too comfortable.

But she couldn’t, she had a lot of things to do.

However, this did not stop her from occasionally coming to her home in the Elf Village to relax.

Though the house was small, it was full of love, giving her a sense of security that was completely different.

The most important thing now was the new year activities.

Last year’s new year activities were very successful and became a feature of Qingshan City; this year could not be an exception.

It wasn’t just her own enjoyment at stake; it was also a chance for the players who had worked hard all year to relax.

This apocalypse might not seem like despair; in fact, on a macro level, it might even be a good thing for the entire planet and for all races living on it.

Yet it was cruel; overnight, everyone had lost their homes, and many had lost their friends and family.

New Year’s is a time for reunion; Mu Ying hoped the New Year’s activities could be as lively as possible, as festivity could make people temporarily forget past pains and gradually feel a sense of belonging to Qingshan City.

With the work group chat, Mu Ying even got lazy about calling everyone for meetings.

She sat at the window of her own domed tree house in the Elf Village, one hand propping her head, the other tapping away on the Territory Internal Network’s work group interface to send messages.

Mu Ying (Lord Boss): “New Year is almost here, what great ideas do you all have this year? @全体成员”

Dima (Half-Breed Representative): “Last year’s New Year market was such a success that we Half-Breeds would like to organize it again this year, with all items still at 70 to 80 percent off, the snack street open all day, and a lottery event! From now on, every year!”

Enoki Mushroom (Mushroom Man Representative): “We’ve prepared the New Year’s film for a year, and it’s ready for the New Year celebration, ‘Qingshan City New Year’s Blockbuster 2.’, remember to come watch, Lord!”

Lily (Mermaid Clan Representative): “We are going to hold a New Year’s Eve lantern festival, and this time it’s a real lantern festival, super dreamy, super beautiful!”

Furris (Lord’s Secretary and Elf Representative): “Layla and the others said they want to hold an elf concert.”

Zheng Jing (Beast Taming Leader): “Da Ming and the others want to do a flying performance, the Jumping Rabbits want to hold a high jump competition, and the Running Bulls, ahem, they said they want to race.”

Liu Luoluo (Breeding Director): “Jingjing, do the little animals have some misunderstanding about the New Year? Why are they organizing a sports festival?”

Zheng Jing (Beast Taming Leader): “I don’t know, don’t ask me, I think if I don’t agree, I might not be able to appease them!”

Mu Ying (Lord Boss): “All the activities mentioned above are approved by this lord; everyone feel free to do your best. Coordinate if you need support, and send me a summary of the main content. Also, we still need Mushroom Men’s help with the red envelope event; I’ll send the specific funds to you, @Enoki Mushroom.”

Enoki Mushroom (Mushroom Man Representative): “Received!”

Lin Shang (Farm Director): “What about you, Lord?”

Mu Ying (Lord Boss): “I need to prepare a secret event.”

Lily (Mermaid Clan Representative): “What secret event, I’m curious (*❦ω❦).”

Liu Luoluo (Breeding Director): “Same here, curious (*❦ω❦)!”

Mu Ying (Lord Boss): “A secret means it cannot be told!”

...

Mu Ying looked at her employees, who were so proactive and enthusiastic, and she was very pleased, finding it blissful to be a hands-off manager.

She still had some time before she could start working on her secret event.

After arranging the New Year’s activities, she enjoyed a rare leisurely afternoon.

While eating Grandma Fruits, she let her mind wander.

It wasn’t until evening that Mu Ying teleported to the campsite in Guland Underground City.

All those hundreds of large civilian tombs had disappeared, all swallowed by Little Stone, turning into building materials.

At that moment, Little Stone was finishing up by swallowing the last door panel of the civilian tomb No. 220.

Little Stone: (✧◡✧)!

Noticing Mu Ying had arrived, Little Stone happily twisted its body.

Bouncing over to Mu Ying, duang~duang~duang~ and buried itself in her embrace.

It felt heavy, definitely had gained some weight.

Compared to this one that kept eating, another smaller and fragile clone that usually accompanied her seemed very petite.

One could lightly tug at her hem, while the other needed both hands to be lifted.

The civilian tomb level had been completely consumed by Little Stone, and next, it would start on the large maze area of the first level.

Just these civilian tombs had already made Little Stone grow up to the age of five, gaining quite a few good things.

The legacy of Guland Underground City was incredibly rewarding, and Little Stone was super easy to manage.

“Let’s go home!” Mu Ying, taking Little Stone’s avatar, teleported back to the Plantation to merge it with the Underground Core, consolidating what it had consumed during this period into her main body.
