“But you’re a Goddess, after all,” Layla said. “Though Lord Correlon has many children and the court is responsible for their upbringing, he is extremely protective of pure-blooded Elves. With the ring on your finger, no one would dare threaten your life. Even when we pure-blooded Elves travel abroad, as long as we don’t cause trouble, those with a bit of sense wouldn’t easily mess with us, for fear of retaliation.”

“Xiao Muying, remember that you’re not alone now,” Furris said. “You have us behind you, as well as the Elf Clan, and even Lord Correlon. Lord Correlon is one of the most powerful deities in the Multiverse and our Guardian God of the Elf Clan.”

Mu Ying understood. It turned out that her father was the powerful supporter of the Elf Clan. Although he lacked a bit in emotional dedication, he was still responsible for the Elves and his children, placing at least some importance on their lives.

The Elves weren’t bullies and had a powerful protector, so in a way, they were indeed safer. It wasn’t much different from witches living in the Emerald World.

Elves were like the children of officials or the wealthy in the current world! With the Elf God Correlon there, such splendor could easily continue for tens of thousands of years. After all, deities didn’t have lifespans, only slumber and demise, not death of old age.

And now, Mu Ying also had such a powerful backer, which should have greatly increased her sense of security.

In fact, Mu Ying still couldn’t accept the Elves’ “slow living.”

She was used to relying on herself, and thus her sense of security couldn’t come from others. Therefore, she made a bold declaration, “Relying on mountains, the mountains will collapse; relying on people, they will run away. It would be better to work hard at cultivation, to give the Elves another supporter, wouldn’t it?”

The Elves all fell silent for a moment, looking at her in surprise.

“Xiao Muying, are you serious?”

Mu Ying nodded, “Being a mountain to rely on is way cooler than relying on others!”

“Then just play with these things for now. When you want to learn, you can learn from us. After all, there’s plenty of time,” Furris said.

Perhaps because she grew up in the human world, the Goddess was really different.

Many Elves craved pleasure and lived freely and romantically, but few were restrained, disciplined, and had lofty ambitions.

As a result, under the Divine System of Correlon, the Elf God stood unrivaled, with the Elves’ Talent being incredibly favorable, yet no peers emerged to match it.

Perhaps the Goddess Mu Ying could truly bring about change?

Beyond the world, a deity cast their gaze in this direction: What a special child indeed!

...

The night deepened, and the fruit banquet concluded. Mu Ying took out some fruits that the Elves particularly enjoyed from the feast to give them, along with some homemade preserves, and she likewise received fruit gifts from the Elves.

“Xiao Muying, we’re off,” Layla said cheerily. “By the time you come back, the Elf Village will surely be built. Then come and play with your sisters!”

“Don’t forget to eat plenty of Grandma Fruits and take care of your body when you’re outside.”

Furris caressed her head, advising.

“I got it, Sister Layla, Sister Furris!” Mu Ying replied.

The fruit banquet was a huge success, and she became thoroughly familiar with the Elves. The witches’ method of socializing through banquets truly was versatile.

At last, she no longer had to hear the awkward title of “little goddess.”

The Elves instantly went from being cold subordinates to caring older brothers and sisters, who were hundreds of years her senior, making interactions much more comfortable.

Compared to that sudden subordinate relationship, Mu Ying preferred this feeling of both friendship and family.

The more she learned about and interacted with the Elves, the more she began to feel a sense of belonging to this Race.

In a way, Elves and witches were alike, both belonging to Races with relatively simple social interactions and strong racial cohesion.

To tell the truth, she greatly admired her father, the Elf God who single-handedly protected an entire Race.

She too hoped that one day she could protect those she loved.

So, she was off again to strive for her dreams!

Once the Elves departed, she took a Flying Carpet and left the territory.

She wanted to finish building the Transmission Arrays with all the different regions before the new year.

Next spring, when the natural energy would be most active, was the optimal time for Cultivation. If she could wrap up everything related to the Transmission Arrays before the new year and clear all saved Trial Time during the holiday, she would be able to resume her regular, comfortable cultivation and training life afterward.

For her, staying around the territory, learning Spells, improving her strength, and inspecting the Forest Land was very comforting.

Essentially, she was still a homebody at heart; she liked to stay at home in her previous life and now preferred to stay around the territory.

To return to the “homebody” lifestyle as soon as possible, Mu Ying set out again without rest that evening.

This time, her destination was Noa City, the only Main Territory in the Southern Australia Region.

First, she took the Transmission Array to Yingtan Camp, then flew south from there.

About a week later, Mu Ying arrived in the Southern Australia Region.

The transportation network of Noa City covered almost the entire Southern Australia Region, making travel extremely convenient. After disguising herself, Mu Ying teleported from the nearest No Master Camp to Noa City.

Positioned in the heart of the Southern Australia Region, Noa City had an advantageous geographical location by the mountainside and near water.

Yet, the area of its Main Territory didn’t fit its status as a City-level Territory.

It wasn’t even half as big as Qingshan City.

But according to the information Mu Ying had gathered, the population of Noa City was twice that of Qingshan City.

How did such a small place accommodate so many residents?

Entirely because Noa City consisted of buildings over six stories high, and reportedly, there were two more levels underground.

They made excellent use of the territory’s vertical space.

Before the apocalypse, this would have been nothing out of the ordinary.

Back then, there were more people than land available.

But now, the population density was no longer that high, and among the territories Mu Ying had visited, none expanded vertically; they all extended outwards.

With plenty of land available, expanding the territory meant more land under the protection of the Territory Shield. With the Short-range Teleportation Arrays available, there was no need to worry about transportation issues due to a larger territory.

Noa’s unique development style was mostly due to one reason: poverty!

Since the Territory Shield was spherical, both the airspace above the territory and the ground beneath were within the protective area, so there indeed was a lot of vertical space.

Without expanding the protective shield, the only way to accommodate more people was to utilize this space.

On the other hand, horizontal expansion of the territory not only required energy during the expansion but also resulted in increased daily consumption of the protective shield, necessitating a significant increase in expenses. The only advantage might have been a denser population within the territory.

Noa, however, invested all its funds into building a network of Transmission Arrays. Before the Long-distance Transmission Array existed, it used Sub-camps as transfer hubs, and once the Long-distance Transmission Array was available, there was no stopping them.
