I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 457: 440 DependableChapter 457: Chapter 440 Dependable

Mu Ying returned to the Plantation and, while checking the fruit inventory in his space, pondered what to prepare for these fellow Elves of his in the evening. Meanwhile, he added the Elves who were about to be involved in the territory affairs into the Territory Work group chat.

He also introduced the new members in the group chat.

Mu Ying (Lord Boss): “Welcome, Elves, to join the territory! Ferilon, Dorothy... will oversee the work at the Harbor Camp, responsible for the construction of ships, while Furris will be the Lord’s secretary, assisting me in managing the overall affairs of the territory. @everyone”

Du Jinlan (Business Director): “Welcome!”

Su Huashi (Mining Director): “Welcome!”

...

Liu Luoluo (Breeding Director): “Elves! Are there really Elves here? Where are they!”

Ferilon (Harbor Director): “I’m here.”

Zheng Jing (Beast Taming Leader): “That new Lord of Maple Town, Sindar, is desperately looking for Elves and even wanted to ask me for your contact information @Mu Ying.”

Furris (Lord’s Secretary): “@Ferilon, deal with your own matters!”

Ferilon (Harbor Director): “It’s not just my issue o(╥_╥)o! She just likes me best, not only me!”

Liu Luoluo (Breeding Director): “There’s gossip here... (✧◡✧)”

...

Mu Ying also grew interested, wearing a face eager for gossip, and privately messaged Furris.

Mu Ying: “Furris, Furris, did you have any history with Sindar back in Maple Town?”

Furris: “When we arrived, the Space Fragment was very close to Maple Town. After the world fused, we went there to inquire about your whereabouts. We initially had no idea where you were, only that you should be a Pure-blooded little Elf, around twenty years old, and we could only confirm your bloodline and identity after meeting you. Then Ferilon and the others got to know Sindar. She really liked them and even built houses in the style of Elves, wanting us to join her territory. But when we heard about you, we set sail immediately.”

Mu Ying: “That’s not right, how did you know I was a Pure-blooded Elf from the beginning? I was only Half-Elf at first!”

Furris: “That’s what the Coronet’s oracle said.”

Mu Ying thoughtfully considered that it seemed pretty normal for a deity to have the ability to foresee.

Furris: “Little goddess, I happen to be free right now, let me help you with the fruit banquet, don’t wear yourself out!”

Mu Ying wanted to say that she wouldn’t get tired even by a banquet for hundreds of people, let alone a fruit banquet that didn’t require any cooking at all.

But she still agreed and gave her the teleport permissions and coordinates.

The main reason was to show off her ability to host a banquet, while also taking the opportunity to inquire about Elf affairs. If it weren’t for the fact that they were busy building a camp from scratch, concerned they wouldn’t be able to handle it, she would’ve called them over to ask earlier.

The next second, Furris appeared right in front of Mu Ying.

On the lush grass, beside a roughly shaped stone pond, a little elf sat, occasionally scooping out fruit, while a few little fairies were helping, occasionally feeding the little elf a red berry.

After the fruit came out, it seemed to come alive and jumped into the pond, washing each other.

Mu Ying waved her over: “Come, come, sit and talk!”

Furris sat down beside Mu Ying.

Mu Ying stuffed a small basket into her arms: “Have some strawberries! Homegrown! Before the world evolved, it was an herbaceous plant, now mutated into a woody plant, the yield has greatly increased, and the taste is much better, try it out!”

Furris had not seen this fruit before, it looked bright red, she ate one... and then another...

“What do you think, does the fruit of Deep Blue Star suit the taste of Elves?” Mu Ying asked curiously.

Furris nodded: “Tart and sweet, I really like it!”

“Can eating this fruit help me grow taller?”

“It has a little effect, but you can’t stop eating Grandma Fruits,” Furris insisted, and took out a Grandma Fruit, pinched off a section from the root end to make a hollow natural straw, and handed it to Mu Ying, “Try it!”

Mu Ying took a sip and let out a contented hum.

The milky flavor was mixed with the fresh scent of flowers and grass, along with a strong natural power. Drinking it felt like being cleansed by nature itself.

The skin of the Grandma Fruit was soft yet resilient, while the inside was filled with creamy white juice, with hardly any fruit flesh.

Furris was right, one shouldn’t stop eating Grandma Fruits!

“Can I grow this fruit myself?” she pondered the idea of achieving Grandma Fruit independence.

“Only adult elves can grow Grandma Fruits, you’re still too young. Don’t worry, we’ve got your Grandma Fruits covered from now on!” Furris handed her another one, her eyes brimming with laughter. Not a single elf could resist the charm of Grandma Fruits.

In fact, many elves still loved eating them even after reaching adulthood!

“Then I’ll send you some of the fruits from my orchard in the future!” Mu Ying said, “Look, that whole area over there is full of them! They’re mostly not in the fruit-bearing season right now, but I saved quite a few from last year. I also made some preserves with the fruit, I’ll let you all try some later, and if you like them, take more back with you!”

“Also, Furris, can you stop using honorifics with me? And those formal ceremonies, they seem so distant, the others too. It feels awkward; just be natural!”

“Okay, we’ll do as you say!” Furris agreed cheerfully, “Layla and the others will be thrilled. They’re still young, managing to keep up appearances when we first met wasn’t easy for them!”

“Ah? So that serious look you all had was just an act?” Mu Ying hadn’t expected this at all.

Furris opened the Territory Internal Network, and then shared what Mu Ying had just said to everyone in Elf Village.

Mu Ying watched as this slightly subdued and serious group lit up with joy.

Layla: “Really? I knew the little cub would prefer a friendlier and more natural way of meeting!”

Ferilon: “But you said earlier that the little goddess was too mature!”

Layla: “What I said was the little goddess possesses wisdom far beyond that of an adult elf (•́へ•́╬)!”

Ferilon: “Pretty much the same thing.”

Layla: “You better not come back, or I’ll make your buttocks blossom with arrows!”

...

Alright, her misunderstanding of elves was quite deep.

Elves in their two or three hundreds, though considered adults, were still quite youthful given their lifespan starts at a thousand years; being lively and a bit childish was the norm.

It seemed they had forgotten they were also in this group chat.

Poking away in the chat interface, Mu Ying posted a message.

Mu Ying: “Thanks for toning it down before, this is much better.”

Layla: “!!!”

Ferilon: “Hahaha!”

...

Furris facepalmed, “Don’t mind them too much, they usually are quite reliable.”

“Yeah, I know,” Mu Ying replied.
