I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 483: 466 ItseraChapter 483: Chapter 466 Itsera

“But we lived too close, and even after being refused, the Maffei couple always came to visit, getting close to Aisha.”

“At first, I didn’t mind them visiting my daughter, but when Aisha turned three, influenced by them, she became very curious about the outside world.”

“It was then that I realized if this continued, one day she would not be able to resist the temptation of the outside and leave me, her foster mother.”

“So, I built a high tower for her in the forest and raised her alone there.”

“As Aisha grew up, she gradually forgot the things from her childhood and affectionately called me ‘mother.’”

“Even though I only gave her a very small amount of Miss Cuisine each day, just enough to control the addictive effect, the magic power in Aisha’s body kept increasing. But she wasn’t a witch; the magic power would not submit to her, it would only harm her body.”

“So, while taking care of her, I was also constantly researching ways to counteract the side effects of the Magic Miss Cuisine and to help her organize the magic power.”

“By chance, I discovered that if I directed the magic power into the top of her head, her hair would lock the magic power in and prevent it from damaging her body. The longer her hair grew, the more magic power it could store.”

“Thus, I allowed her to grow her hair long.”

“During the hair’s growth, the magic power would gradually take on her essence, slowly settling in, becoming more and more beautiful.”

“Inspired by Aisha, when I was researching the Magic Miss Cuisine, I directed the magic power from rabbits that had eaten it into their fur.”

“This was indeed effective; the rabbits no longer died so quickly from an excess of magic power.”

“However, once they reproduced, they would still die quickly from weakness.”

“After nearly ten years of research like this, I once shaved off all the magic-charged fur from a rabbit and boiled it into a sort of magic potion. After feeding the potion to the rabbit, it was able to reproduce successfully, and it didn’t affect the mother’s body; the addictive effect of the Magic Miss Cuisine was also completely eliminated.”

“I thought I had finally succeeded, and I put the rabbit back into the pen, but the next day it died.”

“After many experiments, I discovered that the rabbits that had reproduced would rapidly weaken upon encounter with the male rabbit that had impregnated them.”

“Trying with many different animals yielded the same result.”

“It was also during this research process that I was so busy, my supervision of Aisha became lax, giving Edville the opportunity he needed.”

“Aisha was too naive and was drawn to the world outside depicted by Edville, and she also fell in love with this man who had invaded her world.”

“They fell in love.”

“What’s worse, Edville didn’t want to stay worried in the high tower for long, so he encouraged Aisha to elope with him.”

“It’s also my fault for not telling Aisha the real reason I kept her from the outside world, not even about the addictive nature of the Miss Cuisine, so she just thought she loved Miss Cuisine. That’s why every morning when I went to see her, I would bring her a bit of Miss Cuisine.”

“Aisha ran off with him, but the very next day after they escaped, she became weak because she didn’t get to eat the Miss Cuisine.”

I searched for her everywhere, until on the fifth day, when Aisha was on her last breath, Edville finally brought her back.

Although I was angry, I immediately fed Aisha the Magic Miss Cuisine, and she gradually recovered. However, when I checked her body, I discovered that she had been pregnant for a week.

I wanted her to terminate the pregnancy, but Aisha was unwilling to do so by any means.

Aisha wanted to give birth to the child and follow Edville to see the outside world; she didn’t want to be locked in a tower. How could I agree? Before I developed the antidote, she simply couldn’t stray too far from me, let alone continue to love the father of her child after giving birth.

Aisha begged me while crying, and it broke my heart. Although we were not related by blood, I had raised her and long considered her my own daughter. Apart from the matters related to the witch and Magic Miss Cuisine that I kept from her, I treated her in every other way as my own. Her life and safety were always my responsibility to protect.

I told them about the Magic Miss Cuisine and gave them two options; either Aisha could terminate the pregnancy and drink a potion for permanent birth control, then I would allow them to continue being together, but only if they settled in Star Cave Village, or I would help her keep the child but she could never see Edville again, nor could she fall in love or have children with anyone else. In that case, I would give her some money and set her free.

For Aisha, both choices were extremely cruel. Edville, however, accused me of being deceitful. He thought of me as an evil witch who had stolen someone else’s child, imprisoning Aisha in the name of love. He claimed that if I didn’t give the antidote to Aisha, he would bring an army to attack the tower and take Aisha away.

His words infuriated me, and I drove him out of the tower.

Aisha told me she wanted the second option.

I cut off the long hair she had grown for nearly twenty years to make a magic potion. After she drank it, she bid me farewell.

I had intended to wait until she gave birth to the child and made the necessary preparations before giving her a generous sum and letting her go.

At that time, I realized that Aisha hadn’t fully decided to listen to me; her eagerness to leave showed that she hadn’t given up on Edville yet.

I kept my appearance calm but covered her eyes and blurred her memory of the geography and names related to Star Cave Village and the tower. I took her on a flying carpet to the vicinity of a small village on the wasteland, leaving her with enough money to live in the village without attracting trouble.

When I returned, the tower had already been overthrown by Edville and his soldiers.

I killed those soldiers who tried to attack me, blinded Edville and threw him to the other side of the Rose Kingdom, also erasing his memory of the location of Star Cave Village. It was all to make sure he couldn’t find Aisha again.

I still harbored a hope that I could remove the last side effect, allowing Aisha to have the best of both worlds; she could be reunited with her lover, keep the child, and be safe from any threat to her life. At that time, curing Edville’s eyes would have been easy, and I told him as much, hoping he would not attempt to find Aisha.

But unexpectedly, before the new antidote was developed, they met again.

“Aisha died prematurely because of his prejudice and arrogance,”

Itsera finished recounting the events and stared blankly at the Magic Miss Cuisine scattered on the ground.

Mu Ying’s mission progress finally reached one hundred percent, and the new fragment was in hand.

Finding the final fragment would allow her to bring the exploration of the Emerald World to perfection!

However, there was still one doubt in the story: “Both Edville and the Village Chief said that his eyes were healed by Aisha’s tears, what was the reason for that? Eyes blinded by an external force should not be able to be healed by an ordinary human, right?”
