I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 454: 437: Eager Maple TownChapter 454: Chapter 437: Eager Maple Town

Mu Ying and the three others talked about the affairs of the Trial World all afternoon before parting ways.

That very night, Mu Ying set out for her next destination to construct the Transmission Array: Maz City.

This time she set sail directly, flying eastward.

However, the Xia Country Region and the Ximei Region were located on two separate continents, with a vast ocean in between, making the journey longer and the time spent on the road even longer.

Although sailing across the sea might be dangerous, flying over the ocean was very safe, as not even the fiercest marine creatures could breach the numerous layers of the sea to attack her in the high skies.

So, her journey was smooth and safe.

The ocean, it seemed, had grown even broader than before the apocalypse; she flew for a full half month before finally glimpsing the shadow of land.

“Dingling-ling! Dingling-ling!”

The Dingling Flower suddenly rang; it was Zheng Jing calling.

Mu Ying flicked the flower bud.

“Lord, many pointy-eared elves have come to the territory, claiming they are the guards dispatched by your father!”

Mu Ying almost thought there was a problem with her ears, “What did you say?”

Father? Was that word related to her?

Zheng Jing repeated the message.

Oh, now she remembered! Priestess Granny did seem to have said that she was supposedly the child of an Elf God and a human woman.

The Elf God had discovered Deep Blue Star in advance and deeply understood the evolution potential of the Original World. Then he chose to leave a descendant with a natural indigenous identity here, which led to her birth.

So her deadbeat dad had even sent her a guard detail, and now they had shown up?

What did it matter if they had? Did she need any protection now?

“Tell them I am currently out on business; we can talk when I get back!”

“No need for special treatment?”

“No need.”

Mu Ying’s feelings were quite complicated at the moment.

She glanced at the Natural Bracelet on her hand, presumably left to her by her deadbeat father. Whatever, just let nature take its course! He was a god, after all. What use could she, a mere nobody, have for him? Looking at the bracelet, which was rumored to be a treasure of the Elf Royal Court, maybe her father did have some paternal love for her, but probably not much attention was paid.

Obsessing over it was pointless. As for the matter of the Elf Guard, when she got back, she would deal with it as necessary. Right now, she should focus on the tasks at hand; strength was everything.

She composed herself and continued flying towards Maz City.

Her plan was the same as when she went to Canter City, to first use a Disguise Potion to disguise herself and scope out the situation to verify the authenticity of that initial invitation. If it proved true, she would reveal her true appearance and proceed to discuss cooperation and the construction of the Transmission Array.

Mazi City and Kajiatan had similar city styles, both featuring multi-story buildings and neat streets, but the natural scenery around the territory wasn’t as stunning as Kajiatan City’s. However, the interior of the territory was quite beautiful, with greenbelts and a variety of plants and flowers along the roads.

Mazi City was also a city-level territory, and its internal network had long been activated, making it easy to spread information. Mu Ying, after disguising herself, could easily gather news by sitting in a populous square or having a drink in a busy tavern, overhearing plenty of gossip.

The news of Mu Ying’s departure from Qingshan City had spread long ago, and her next target was a hot topic of discussion during this period, with at least two out of three gossips talking about it, and the other would get to it eventually.

In any case, Mu Ying was certain that the post issued from Mazi City originally came from Maz himself. This made things easier, as she restored her original appearance and re-entered Mazi City, then calmly headed straight for the administrative center of Mazi City.

Maz was a spell research fanatic who usually secluded himself in his sub-camp to study spells, leaving the affairs of the territory to his women. They worked at the administrative center.

Just looking at the state of the territory, one could tell that their ability to manage it was quite admirable.

When Mu Ying arrived at the center of the territory, she saw seven uniquely beautiful girls, all wearing the same style but different colored clothes, standing at the entrance of the administrative center to greet her.

“Lord Mu, welcome to our city!” the beautiful sisters chorused, bowing respectfully, “The Lord is in seclusion and can only be represented by us to welcome you, please forgive us! The Lord asked us to tell you that once he finishes his current stage of cultivation, he will personally visit Qingshan City.”

Seeing the seven smiling beauties, Mu Ying felt a touch of Maz’s happiness and quickly said, “No worries, what exactly are the terms for building this Transmission Array?”

Meeting Maz was secondary; the key was to build the Transmission Array.

“As stated on the forum, we’ll split both the costs and the earnings equally,” they replied.

“Then let’s go build the Transmission Array right now!” Although the beautiful sisters were a sight for sore eyes, business was more urgent.

“Please follow me!” one of the seven beautiful government officials stepped forward to lead the way to the territory’s Transmission Plaza.

“Lord Mu, Sindar, the lord of Maple Town, asked us to convey her eagerness to establish a Transmission Array with Qingshan City, using the other cooperative method you mentioned on the forum. Are you willing to build two Cross-Regional Transfer Arrays in the Ximei Region?” said the Cilia official on the way to the plaza.

“Of course, I am willing. You have a Long-distance Transmission Array to Maple Town here, right? I can just head there in a bit.”

Mu Ying couldn’t be more eager, as she wanted to establish an array with any main territory willing to cooperate — to set it up once and for all would be best.

“Then I shall accompany you later!”

It turned out that just like the forum said, Mazi City and Maple Town had a pretty good relationship.

Building a Transmission Array took only a short moment. After setting up the array with Mazi City, as Mu Ying followed Cilia toward another Long-distance Transmission Array going to Maple Town, someone teleported there.

It was another beauty, wearing a gorgeous puff-sleeved dress.

Mu Ying felt today’s beauty quotient was somewhat over the limit.

As soon as she stepped out of the Transmission Array, the lady in the puff-sleeved dress set her eyes on Mu Ying, approaching them and saying, “Are you Lord Mu Ying from Qingshan City?”

“This is Sindar, the lord of Maple Town,” Cilia introduced her to Mu Ying, who then introduced Mu Ying to Sindar and mentioned Mu Ying’s agreement to cooperate.

“What are we waiting for then, let’s go to my territory,” Sindar said energetically, stepping onto the Transmission Array again.

Moments later, they arrived at a territory within the Maple Forest, where, surprisingly, the residential buildings resembled the Tree Houses of Qingshan City.

It seemed their sense of aesthetics was quite similar, and Maple Town also paid close attention to harmonious coexistence with the environment. Mu Ying’s good impression of Sindar grew on the spot, but she felt it might be a bit too rapid at this time.

Once the “Qingshan-Maple” Cross-Regional Transfer Array was completed, Sindar breathed a sigh of relief and patted her chest, “Such an expensive Transmission Array, now that it’s built, you can’t back out, you know!”
