I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 493: 476: Elf CourseChapter 493: Chapter 476: Elf Course

After realizing Shirley also tended to exaggerate the truth, Mu Ying was even less inclined to get involved.

Even if Prince Dumiso might have issues, Shirley sticking with him was unlikely to lead to any good outcome, and Mu Ying had no intention of disrupting her plans to save anyone.

None of them were truly good people, so she prioritized her own mission, deciding to secure the last fragment before doing anything else.

Given the caravan’s pace, reaching the Royal Capital of Green Wall Kingdom would take several months.

Mu Ying didn’t mind the delay. After setting the magic flying carpet to follow the ground caravan, she contentedly started reading her magic book on the carpet.

The witch’s bloodline still had much potential to be explored, and magic was not inferior to her druid spells; this time was good for studying these things.

It was also very safe on the flying carpet; every day when the trial ended, she would place her body in the Space Travel Box, and her spirit could return to reality.

During the journey on the road, there was nothing new in the Trial World, and the real world remained calm and stable as well.

Having eaten Grandma Fruits for a while, Mu Ying’s daily routine began to align more with that of a true elf, dividing her time into two halves.

During the day, she dealt with matters in the real world. At night, her body rested while her spirit went to the Trial World, which became very regular.

At dawn, just as the first light appeared in the sky, Mu Ying opened her eyes in the round treehouse in Elf Village.

Lately, she received education from the elves, learning things that underage elves would study—one lesson a day, two hours long, with cultural and combat courses alternating.

The cultural courses included subjects related to elves, arts, pantheons of gods, and the structure of the universe.

The last two were less frequent because the world lockdown had not been lifted, and there were still some restrictions on this information—her primary understanding revolved around elves, occasionally interspersed with art lessons.

These courses were taught by Furris.

The combat courses mainly focused on developing her own physique, like speed, dexterity, agility, and balance, as well as guidance in swordsmanship and arrow technique, and practical combat training.

Layla taught her these.

For convenience in learning, she had been living in Elf Village during this period.

The domed treehouse was not as spacious as the one in her main territory, but she found it more comfortable to live in.

The large windows could always be left open, letting in warm sunlight, fresh rainwater, and breezes carrying the scent of grass and trees into the treehouse any time.

The interior, primitive yet not crude, exuded meticulousness with its wooden furniture and woven tapestries. The various plants on the windowsills and hanging from the walls added a lively touch that completely matched her aesthetic preferences.

Perhaps long ago, when she was still a half-elf, her elf lineage had influenced her tastes.

Back then, she just loved the forest and lush tree-covered areas, and even her favorite color was green.

After becoming a druid, she started to cherish returning to nature and the feeling of living harmoniously with it.

It was only after she encountered the style of the elves that she realized what she had always loved was the elf way of life—close to nature and integrated with it, yet maintaining a refined quality life.

Elves are probably just a group of nobles living in the forest!

Of course, not all elves liked to live in the forest; the cultural class from the day before yesterday covered this.

Elves also have other branches, among which those who love forests are Wood Elves, currently the largest group within the Elf Clan, and direct descendants of the Elf God King Correlon. Mu Ying also belonged to the Wood Elves.

The Wood Elves have the highest affinity for plants, are agile, and have strong balance. They are skilled with bows and light swords, and most Wood Elves are Druids or Forest Patrols.

Beyond Wood Elves, there are also Sea Elves who are affiliated with water bodies and oceans, among others.

Mu Ying always looked forward to the daily elf courses. Although she had only attended a few combat sessions, she had already gained better control of her body.

Now, without the aid of spells, she could already run and jump freely on the trees as if walking on flat ground, living up to the Elves’ regal reputation in the Elf Forest.

Previously, she had wasted her racial Talent by not developing her potential.

Even her agility attribute had increased by 1 point during her training, rising to 15 points.

Furris said her body had not yet reached its prime. She advised Mu Ying to eat plenty of Grandma Fruit and continue running and jumping on the trees, as this would not only improve her agility attribute but her Charm Attribute would also increase as she grew.

The lesson today was another cultural lesson. Last time, Furris mentioned that she would discuss the pantheon of the Multiverse and the elves’ Mother Star today, which Mu Ying eagerly anticipated.

This morning, after getting out of bed, Mu Ying skillfully changed her Thousand Faces Clothes to the style of Elf Cloth Armor.

The lessons from this period had not been in vain. The Elf Cloth Armor was not only attractive but also very convenient for moving through the forest, which Mu Ying liked so much that she had switched to wearing it whenever she was active in the forest.

After applying a Cleaning Technique to freshen up, her dark green long wavy hair was casually tossed behind her ears, and she was ready to head out.

Cultural lessons were like listening to stories, and how could she listen to stories without holding Fur Ball?

Mu Ying scooped up Gungun, who was still lightly snoring at the foot of the bed.

Given the small space in the tree house, Gungun used its reduced size form to move about.

“I should have named you ‘Porky.’ You eat and sleep like a little pig. Demiso left for Griffin Shed training before dawn,” Mu Ying murmured.

Gungun didn’t even lift its eyelids, continuing to snore. Its Brown Bear master had returned to the orchard, and it finally had a few days to relax and catch up on sleep.

Holding Fur Ball, she approached the window next to the tree house bed, used the desk by the window as a footrest, and climbed out.

While exiting, she also grabbed a Grandma Fruit from a hanging woven basket next to the window for breakfast.

Since she had become adept at moving through the trees, Mu Ying had developed a fondness for not taking the usual paths when leaving the house; her daily exit involved climbing out the window, especially preferring challenging routes.

A door no longer suited her elfin agility.

Windows with obstacles, narrow, and trembling branches when stepped on were her favorites.

Exiting from this window brought her to one of the branches of the tree where Mu Ying’s tree house was located, a route she had traversed countless times and had already committed to muscle memory.

Nibbling on the Grandma Fruit, she lightly stepped from one tree trunk to another branch, swiftly leaping to another tree without touching the ground.

Using words from Deep Blue Star, one might say elves naturally have a Qinggong buff when they are in trees, light as a swallow with astonishing jumping power.

Having eaten half of her Grandma Fruit, Mu Ying arrived at her usual spot for attending elf cultural classes—on the roof of Furris’s house.

The roof of Furris’s house was the most refined in the Elf Village, planted with a dense lawn and surrounded by flowers.
