Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

148: Chapter 148 Safe Return, Tense Situation?”Not sure.” Bai Xuan shook his head slightly.

Actually, Bai Xuan had only obtained fragments of information from the World Tree.

Bai Xuan did not know what exactly was in the Inner Earth World, how strong the creatures inside were, or what kind of resources it held; he would only know once he entered it personally.

”Then... may I ask how the Eagle Emperor came to know about the Inner Earth World?”

General Wang Zhuo couldn’t help but ask the question in his heart. This guy definitely knew a lot of things they didn’t, and he had to find a way to extract some useful information from him.

”Aren’t you asking a bit too much? This is our territory, don’t get too carried away!” Hu Da frowned and spoke coldly.

”Apologies, I was too anxious and lost my sense of propriety. Please forgive me.” General Wang Zhuo realized he had lost his composure and quickly explained.

”We were just too curious, there was no malice intended.” The Earth Nether Flood Dragon spoke up for General Wang Zhuo.

”Forget it. Believe it or not, that’s up to you. Whether you want to go in is your own business, I won’t force you. I’m in a rush, so I’ll be going first.”

Bai Xuan was only informing them of what he knew.

At the same time, he instructed them to leave behind some Tier 5 ferocious beasts to guard the territory to avoid accidents. In reality, it was highly unlikely that accidents would occur; as long as Bai Xuan was still alive, things would never descend into chaos.

After saying this, Bai Xuan took the lead, flapping his wings and heading towards the nearest Arctic passage entrance. Bai Xuan did not let the ferocious beasts go and scout the path.

It would take too much time, and if he missed the opening time of the passage because of that, it would be a huge loss.

”Big Brother, I want to go. Do you want to come along?” Hu Zi looked at Hu Da and asked.

After all, since even Bai Xuan wanted to go in, there must be rare opportunities inside, perhaps even once-in-a-lifetime chances. If he missed this opportunity, it would be gone. Hu Zi was willing to risk his life to take a gamble. Furthermore, with Bai Xuan there, there shouldn’t be much danger.

After hesitating for a moment, Hu Da nodded gently: ”Fine, I will go with you.”

”Since you want to go, I can’t say much more, but remember to be safe and help each other. If you encounter something you can’t solve, don’t force it. Preserving your life is what matters most; everything else is fleeting. Finally, I will help take care of the grandchildren, don’t worry.”

Seeing this, Mother Tiger sighed helplessly. Although she really didn’t want Hu Da and Hu Zi to take this risk, they were insistent, so she could only give a few instructions while taking on the responsibility of managing the tribe and looking after Hu Zi and Hu Da’s cubs.

”I’ll go too.” Xiao Hei was not to be outdone, preparing to go inside to find opportunities to become stronger.

”I’ll go too.” Xiong Yan followed closely. Now the tribe had grown, so even if he wasn’t there, they could survive well without causing trouble or infighting.

In the end, the Golden Eagle King, the Deep Sea Flood Dragon, Xiong Yan, Hu Zi, Hu Da, and Xiao Hei made up their minds to follow Bai Xuan to the Inner Earth World. Other beast kings were hesitant, planning to consider it for a few more days, while some simply gave up the idea.

It was too risky. They only knew of the existence of the Inner Earth World, but they had no idea what it was like inside. Acting rashly could very likely lead to their deaths.

”Alright, time is of the essence, let’s go.” After saying this, Hu Zi flapped his wings and headed towards the Arctic passage entrance. They had all finished giving their instructions.

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon, the Golden Eagle King, Xiong Yan, Hu Da, and Xiao Hei followed closely behind.

Among them, only Xiong Yan could not use Flight, but his speed running on the ground was also very fast, so he didn’t fall behind. As for crossing the sea, with Hu Zi and the others, it wouldn’t be much of a problem.

”I hope everything goes well.” Xue Yu sighed and said.

”They will definitely return safely.” Mother Tiger muttered to herself.

Now Xue Yu, Mother Tiger, the Rat King, and Xiong Lei were serving as important ferocious beasts in the Far East Region, managing this vast territory. It felt a bit strenuous, but fortunately, as long as Bai Xuan’s Ice Feather remained, the ferocious beasts would be united. Even if all humans united, they would not be a match for the ferocious beasts.

After Bai Xuan left, humans also gained a chance to catch their breath.

”Everyone, I have some matters to attend to on my side, so I will take my leave here. We shall meet again if fate allows.” General Wang Zhuo leaped up, jumped onto the head of the Earth Nether Flood Dragon, and said to the other beast kings.

After saying this, the Earth Nether Flood Dragon took General Wang Zhuo and returned to the Dragon Kingdom to report. At the same time, it had already transmitted the information learned from Bai Xuan back to the Dragon Kingdom. It was unknown who would be sent into the Inner Earth World.

However, the Earth Nether Flood Dragon really wanted to enter. After all, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; if missed, who knew when it would open again. At the same time, the opportunities would be snatched up, so it would not miss this chance.

Even if the Dragon Kingdom did not agree to let it enter, it would resolutely enter the Inner Earth World to seek opportunities and become stronger, stepping into Tier 6 as soon as possible!

”Earth Nether, you must really want to enter, right?” General Wang Zhuo asked with one hand behind his back.

The Earth Nether Flood Dragon was performing supersonic Flight, appearing very urgent. General Wang Zhuo could see this, which was why he asked this question.

”This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I don’t want to miss it.” The Earth Nether Flood Dragon did not deny it and spoke the truth.

”I will try my best to persuade them to let us enter the Inner Earth World together.” General Wang Zhuo nodded gently; actually, he really wanted to go in too.

But losing two major combat powers at once was a bit hard for the Dragon Kingdom to handle.

General Wang Zhuo also knew that if the Earth Nether Flood Dragon wanted to leave, no one could stop it. Therefore, General Wang Zhuo planned to enter the Inner Earth World with the Earth Nether Flood Dragon to seek opportunities. As for the Dragon Kingdom, he would let them hold on for a period of time.

Furthermore, as long as all the ferocious beasts didn’t unite, the Dragon Kingdom would not fall. With the deterrence of nuclear weapons, even if a conflict occurred, it would not lead to the destruction of the nation.

Nuclear weapons could still severely damage ordinary Tier 5 beast kings; not everyone was as freakish as Bai Xuan, capable of devouring nuclear radiation and withstanding nuclear weapons head-on.

”Thank you.” The Earth Nether Flood Dragon expressed its gratitude.

”Why say such things between us? Besides, if you want to leave, who can stop you? I’m just persuading them. The result won’t change from beginning to end.”

General Wang Zhuo laughed heartily.

”That’s true. I wonder what exactly is inside.” The Earth Nether Flood Dragon smiled.

”We’ll know once we go in and see.” General Wang Zhuo had already prepared for death, or rather, he had long been prepared to sacrifice himself for the country. Regarding death, the only thing General Wang Zhuo couldn’t let go of was the Dragon Kingdom, worrying that if he left, facing so many ferocious beasts, it would be difficult to cope.

But General Wang Zhuo had to enter the Inner Earth World to seek opportunities and improve his own level and strength. This was even more so to have the ability to contend with the ferocious beasts in the future, or even defeat them.

After all, if the Eagle Emperor entered and came out, his strength would be even greater, and by then, the Dragon Kingdom would have no chance of turning the tables.

General Wang Zhuo did not want that to happen.

...

”I knew you would come.” Bai Xuan had been waiting at the edge of the passage entrance for a while. Seeing Hu Zi and the others arrive, he spoke with a calm smile.

At this time, the light of the passage dissipated, forming a pitch-black circular passage, so dark that one could not see their fingers, like an abyss. The surrounding seawater was isolated and did not surge into the passage; one could enter the passage from above.

After giving a few simple instructions, Bai Xuan took the lead and entered the Inner Earth World passage. Hu Zi and the others followed closely, falling at high speed. It was pitch black all around, feeling like a void, and they could only feel their bodies constantly falling.

”I will soon see your true face.”

Bai Xuan muttered to himself.

At the same time, an accident occurred after entering the passage.

Bai Xuan’s divine sense seemed to be blocked by a mysterious force, unable to perceive the situation around him. Bai Xuan shouted: ”Are you all okay?”

But he did not get any response; it was silent.

”Could it be that even sound is blocked?” Bai Xuan was puzzled in his heart. Finally, he sighed helplessly; for now, he could only wait until he reached the Inner Earth World.

From the beginning, Bai Xuan had already warned them. Even if they died here, it could only be said that their luck was bad; he couldn’t blame anyone.

But Bai Xuan still really hoped they could survive, obtain opportunities, and become stronger.

After a while, light finally appeared before his eyes. Gradually, blinding light shone through, and Bai Xuan finally entered the Inner Earth World.

He appeared high in the sky. Below, the ground was overgrown with trees, looking like a primeval forest. However, these trees, flowers, plants, and creatures were all much larger than those in the surface world, perhaps twenty or thirty times larger. This was the situation after the recovery of spiritual energy and the growth of all things.

Perhaps it was because of the special structure of the Inner Earth World.

At the same time, there was spiritual energy here, dozens of times denser than in the surface world.

Resources were naturally more abundant than in the surface world. He didn’t know if this place had been invaded by the Zerg.

Meanwhile, Bai Xuan spread his wings to counteract the gravity of the high-speed fall and turned to look behind him. He did not find the figures of Hu Zi and the others. Afterward, he looked left and right, but still could not find them.

At the same time, the previously pitch-black passage that one could not see through also disappeared, which made Bai Xuan even more puzzled.

Bai Xuan let out a deafening eagle cry to call for Hu Zi and the others, but he did not receive a response for a long time. Finally, Bai Xuan sighed helplessly:

”They must have been sent to other places.”

Bai Xuan did not know much about the situation in the Inner Earth World, only having obtained some fragments of information from the World Tree.

Bai Xuan hovered in the air, lost in thought. Since this was the Inner Earth World, the surface should be the Surface World. So, was the World Tree also in the Inner Earth World?

Also, could flying upwards lead to the Surface World? Thinking of this, Bai Xuan flapped his wings and flew upwards at supersonic speed.

He flew for quite a while. The higher he flew, the more energy it consumed.

The trees on the ground became smaller and smaller, but Bai Xuan still hadn’t reached the top.

”It seems this path is not feasible for now.” Bai Xuan gave up the idea of continuing to fly higher. The suction was too strong, and spiritual energy and physical strength were consuming at a visible rate, which was a bit too much for Bai Xuan to handle.

”Forget it, let’s go down and take a look.” Bai Xuan dove down towards the forest on the ground, like a meteor falling towards the earth.

At the same time, even without a sun, it could illuminate the entire Inner Earth World; it should be some kind of luminous element. After all, it was the Inner Earth World; what was impossible?

After a while, Bai Xuan finally reached the ground and landed on a towering tree. His divine sense was blocked, so he could only rely on his eyes, ears, sense of smell, and his body’s instinctive reaction functions to perceive things in this world.

”Little one, did you come from the Surface World?” Suddenly, an old voice entered Bai Xuan’s ears. It sounded like beast language, but also not quite.

The sudden voice startled Bai Xuan, and he quickly took Flight. His body grew rapidly, reaching a wingspan of a thousand meters, looking at the towering tree he had just stood on: ”Indeed.”

”You little one are truly interesting.” The towering tree’s vines on the branches kept twisting, finally condensing into an old face, neither human nor beast, very strange, appearing on the top of the tree, staring at Bai Xuan.

”A Tier 7 ferocious beast?” Bai Xuan could not see through the strength and level of the giant tree in front of him. At the same time, his divine sense was still blocked. Bai Xuan could only rely on his own knowledge and judgment to assess the strength of the towering tree.

”Hahaha, this old man has not advanced to Tier 7, but it is close, just one step away.” The towering tree laughed, not releasing any hostility at all, as if treating Bai Xuan like a junior.

However, that was also true; in terms of age, the towering tree was more than just a little older than Bai Xuan; even compared to ancestors, it was still young.

”Then what is your rank in terms of strength here?” Bai Xuan pondered for a moment and asked.

The first tree-type ferocious beast he encountered was at the peak of Tier 6, but Bai Xuan was not afraid. The opponent could not kill him, and if Bai Xuan fought with his life, he could instead kill the opponent.

”Upper-middle range, I suppose.” The towering tree was silent for a moment and then answered truthfully, without hiding anything, and without any airs, appearing kind and approachable.

”The Inner Earth World is truly terrifying.” As expected by Bai Xuan, the ferocious beasts here were much stronger than those on the surface, and their history of mastering spiritual energy should be even longer.

However, it was still within an acceptable range, though this was only for Bai Xuan.

At the same time, Bai Xuan also noticed the situation of the surrounding tree spirits. They all had intelligence, seemingly looking at Bai Xuan, silent, looking very respectful to the giant tree that was communicating with Bai Xuan.

”It seems you have some understanding of the Inner Earth World.” The towering tree did not expect Bai Xuan to have some understanding of the Inner Earth World, and he did not show the extremely shocked expression it had expected.

”I know some. May I ask for your name, Senior? How should I address you?”

Bai Xuan asked politely. Perhaps the ancient tree was a shortcut for him to understand this world, so naturally, he had to treat it politely and respectfully.

Furthermore, the opponent’s strength was not weak, and it might even have trump cards. Bai Xuan would not rashly provoke it. At the very least, he had to wait until he had a basic understanding of this world before he could go and devour ferocious beasts, compete for resources, or even plunder resources.
