Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

109: Chapter 109 A resounding victory, White Clouds, Blood Fiend.Just as the Golden Eagle King and Huzi were chatting and laughing, celebrating this resounding victory.

Bai Xuan’s eyes became serious. Huzi keenly noticed the change in Bai Xuan’s expression: ”Brother Bai, what’s wrong?”

”Pass the order down: everyone on high alert. The Insectoid army has come again.”

Bai Xuan’s divine sense detected danger approaching. It was the Insectoids, likely the reinforcements requested by Blade earlier. They were vast in number and coming from the west.

It was a bit troublesome. Having just dealt with the Insectoids in the territory, now another huge swarm was coming. Bai Xuan felt a bit exhausted, but he had to fight.

”Alright, I’ll go do it now.” Huzi and the Golden Eagle King nodded solemnly.

”Forget it. I’ll go lure them away. You stay here to guard the territory and ensure everything is foolproof.”

Bai Xuan did not want the beasts in the territory to suffer any more casualties. It was better for him to go meet them alone, ideally leading them to another area to fight.

”Brother Bai, let us go with you. I can still fight; what I said before was just a joke.” Huzi would always respond seriously during a crisis, stepping forward without hesitation.

”That’s right. Eagle King, you are our pillar of support; you cannot afford any mishaps. Please allow us to join the battle.” The Golden Eagle King felt the same. While he certainly didn’t want to die, for the sake of the clan’s future and the greater good, he would step forward without hesitation.

”The beasts need rest, and there have already been heavy casualties. For the sake of the future, to avoid being ambushed, and furthermore, because you would only become a burden if you came with me—it’s not worth it and completely unnecessary. So, forget it; just keep watch over the territory.”

Bai Xuan shook his head gently, refusing their request to accompany him.

Huzi couldn’t sway Bai Xuan and finally had to say earnestly, ”Then Brother Bai, take care. Don’t push yourself too hard. We will fight alongside you until the very end.”

”Eagle King, rest assured and leave the territory matters to us. You must also take care of your own safety.” The Golden Eagle King felt the same and could only obey Bai Xuan’s orders.

”Don’t worry, they can’t kill me.” Bai Xuan flapped his wings and flew toward the west. He was a bit tired, but being able to earn a large amount of evolution points was quite good.

The overall strength of the Insectoids was still very powerful. Tier 4 beasts made up one-twentieth of the total, and the rest were all Tier 3 beasts. Their strength was formidable. Given the current strength possessed by the beasts and martial artists of Blue Star, it was difficult to eliminate them, and most would likely be killed by them instead.

However, it wouldn’t be easy for the Insectoids to take down the Blue Star beasts and martial artists either. After all, the sheer numbers were there; one spit from every person and beast would be enough to drown them.

...

”Unexpectedly, Blade and Bloodlust have fallen so quickly.”

A Tier 5, Stage 8 Insectoid monster, its appearance very similar to a human. It had four arms and two legs, its body covered in dark gold armor, muscular, with a sturdy build. It had a pair of huge, transparent Insectoid wings, with dark gold patterns on them, looking quite good.

On its head were two long, fleshy antennae, its features fierce, with a mouth full of fangs.

Beside it was another Tier 5 monster, possessing the terrifying cultivation of Tier 5, Stage 9. It had the appearance of a young woman, with dual blade wings on its back, fair and delicate skin, beautiful as a flower, pure white hair, with armor covering its private parts, and a tall figure.

Rather than an Insectoid, it looked more like a human—the kind of Insectoid monster that could make one’s blood boil. Every smile, every movement was heart-stirring.

”According to what Blade said before he died, it seems to be a Tier 5 Beast King Eagle, with high intelligence, formidable strength, and the ability to challenge those above its rank. Since this beast cannot be used by us, it is better to eliminate it as soon as possible, lest it become a major threat in the future or hinder our plans.”

”Well said. By the way, why did you make yourself look like this?”

The four-armed monster, named Xuesha, looked at its companion in front of it, feeling confused.

”Aren’t you also wearing a different appearance?”

The beautiful young female monster, named Bai Yun, had a true form that was a large, snow-white fleshy worm. With Insectoid secret techniques, she could change her appearance. If her level were higher, she could change her form at will. If she transformed into a human shape, she would look no different from a human on the outside.

”I did it just to be more convenient.” Xuesha had also changed its appearance, bearing a great resemblance to a human. Its true form was a dark gold beetle, possessing immense strength, extremely high defense, and the ability of Flight.

”Then I’m the same.” Bai Yun covered her mouth and smiled.

”You wouldn’t have fallen for the human appearance, would you?” Xuesha naturally didn’t believe Bai Yun’s words and suddenly thought of a possibility.

”It’s quite interesting.” Bai Yun did not deny it.

”I knew it.” Xuesha wore an ”as I expected” expression.

”That beast is here.” Bai Yun’s spiritual power detected a Tier 5 beast aura, charging toward them at a terrifying supersonic speed. She instantly became vigilant.

She dared not lower her guard; after all, that beast had even killed Blade.

”I want to see just how strong it really is.” Xuesha rubbed its hands together. Although it was in the same realm as Blade, its strength was much greater than Blade’s. Coupled with Bai Yun, a Tier 5, Stage 9 beast, it was more than enough to handle a small Blue Star native beast.

The Insectoid army behind them instantly entered combat mode. It could kill even the leader Blade, so it was definitely no ordinary opponent. They had to respond seriously and dared not lower their guard:

”Who exactly is the opponent, to be able to kill Leader Blade!”

”I don’t know, but looking at how serious Leader Bai Yun is, that beast is definitely no ordinary opponent. We had better stay vigilant.”

”Anyway, this level of battle is not something we can participate in. We just need to watch from behind.”

”I thought we would only start fighting after entering its territory. I didn’t expect this guy to sniff us out and come over on its own. That’s good; it saves us from having to search everywhere for its whereabouts.”

”Come to think of it, don’t you find Leader Bai Yun’s appearance a bit strange?”

”As long as Leader Bai Yun likes it, it’s fine. We have no right to interfere, nor are we qualified to gossip.”

...

They chattered on. In fact, there was no need to worry too much; they didn’t need to intervene in a battle of this level. Taking action would be tantamount to suicide and not worth the loss.

It was enough to leave the battle to the two monsters, Bai Yun and Xuesha. They were very confident in the strength of the two leaders. If even they couldn’t kill that beast, there would be no other Insectoid monster on Blue Star capable of killing it.

As for the beasts and human martial artists, it went without saying—they were pitifully weak.

But then again, how long has it been since the spiritual energy resurgence? Being able to reach this level is already quite good.
