Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

120: Chapter 120 Life or Death, the Great Battle BeginsXiong Yan strode forward, his terrifying weight causing the street to sink and crack, and the nearby buildings to shake. The Soldiers, martial artists, and spirit beasts blocking his path all hurriedly cleared a wide road, as did the various tanks and armored vehicles.

Xiong Yan walked past Yanyan, the Iron-Eating Beast of the Dragon Kingdom, and exchanged a glance with it without saying a word. A moment later, he stopped beneath the fierce beasts and looked up at the Earth Nether Flood Dragon in mid-air:

”I never expected the Dragon Kingdom to produce a spirit beast like you.”

Xiong Yan had naturally heard of the Earth Nether Flood Dragon.

Seeing it today, it was indeed as legendary as rumored. Apart from Bai Xuan, this flood dragon was the strongest entity among all the creatures on Blue Star, an existence that absolutely could not be underestimated.

”You must be the Savage Bear leader from the central region, right?” The Earth Nether Flood Dragon could tell that Xiong Yan’s strength was not to be trifled with.

”Indeed.” Xiong Yan nodded slightly. His attitude was neither good nor bad; he hadn’t come to cause trouble this time, but rather to join forces against the Zerg beasts and buy enough time for Bai Xuan’s seclusion.

”My fellow fierce beast friends, I suspect the leading Zerg has already advanced to the sixth rank. The danger level is self-evident. Stay safe, and just do your best to block it outside the maritime defense line.”

The Earth Nether Flood Dragon informed them of what it had sensed, with no intention of hiding anything.

Since they dared to come here, they must have been prepared. Because of this, there was absolutely no need to conceal the truth; concealment would only be counterproductive and not worth the loss.

”Sixth rank... truly terrifying.” Xiong Yan muttered to himself. He clenched his bear paw; a tough battle was inevitable, and whether they lived or died was up to fate.

”Thanks for the warning.” Xiao Hei nodded slightly in gratitude.

Huzi gave a bitter laugh: ”Damn it, things are truly endless. When will this ever reach an end?”

Since the resurgence of spiritual energy, Huzi’s contributions had been plain for all to see.

He was only complaining on the surface now; when the real fight started, he would be more ruthless and desperate than anyone else.

”It will end. At the same time, I also hope that humans and fierce beasts can achieve a balance and coexist on Blue Star,” General Wang Zhuo said.

Fierce beasts had already become a major force; it was absolutely impossible to wipe them out. Therefore, they could only settle for the next best thing and reach a state of balance. As for the future, that would be up to the descendants.

And General Wang Zhuo only needed to handle the matters at hand. Each generation had its own tasks. Only if the Dragon Kingdom survived could it accomplish more in the future. Besides, the vast starry universe awaited humanity to explore.

Huzi and Xiao Hei ignored him. This guy was talking about unrealistic things again. It was already too late to talk about that now; the grudges between fierce beasts and humans were not so easily erased.

”What’s the use of saying this now? You didn’t intend to let us off at the beginning, either.” Xiong Yan laughed heartily, as if he had heard some huge joke. After saying that, he didn’t say anything more.

General Wang Zhuo and the Earth Nether Flood Dragon did not speak again. There would be plenty of time in the future; perhaps humans and fierce beasts could coexist peacefully.

Meanwhile, the Zerg army pressed forward.

The sky was pitch black, like dark clouds pressing down on a city, carrying a terrifying aura that made it hard for people to breathe.

The sea was the same; the dense Zerg army was running on the road formed by ice, heading toward the maritime defense line.

”Ahead is the territory of the Dragon Kingdom. Please stop your invasion immediately, otherwise, do not blame us for being impolite.”

General Wang Zhuo shouted loudly. He was in command of the battlefield for this effort to block the Zerg army. Other generals were guarding the borders, while others were deploying troops and commanding the formation of the battle from the rear.

”Arrogant human boy, you are not qualified to threaten this Emperor!”

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor sneered. After speaking, he began to Call upon Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy, sending waves as high as a hundred meters toward the Dragon Kingdom’s defense line.

Seeing this scene, everyone present wore shocked expressions. In the blink of an eye, he had Called upon so much Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy, covering the seawater as it swept toward them.

”Defend!” General Wang Zhuo gave the order. The various spirit beasts and martial artists used their own elemental powers, some freezing the seawater, others causing rocks to rise from the ground to block the incoming waves.

Suddenly, Xiong Yan plunged his bear paw into the ground, began to Call upon Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy, and poured the spiritual energy from his demon core frantically into the ground. Xiong Yan looked up to the sky and let out a roar that shook the heavens.

A rock wall rose from the ground, over a thousand meters long and over a hundred meters high, blocking the seawater outside.

If one were to speak of the strongest in the earth attribute among everyone present, he ranked second, and no one ranked first.

The Earth Nether Flood Dragon took the lead, flying toward the waves and sweeping the seawater into the air like a giant tornado shooting straight into the clouds. The Earth Nether Flood Dragon flew around the seawater tornado, eventually forming a water pillar that towered into the clouds.

”Don’t get carried away!” The Earth Nether Flood Dragon roared, and then the seawater, like a beam of light, attacked the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor.

”Ant.”

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor smiled disdainfully, then emitted cold air from his entire body, freezing the incoming water column from top to bottom, until it finally shattered and crashed into the sea.

”So strong.” General Wang Zhuo couldn’t help but say. After regaining his composure, he immediately ordered the attack: ”Attack.”

Aircraft carriers and various warships fired missiles one after another, and thousands of missiles behind them bombarded the Zerg army.

Previously, they had always believed that firepower could solve most problems. Now, it seemed that spiritual energy had already replaced the status of thermal weapons, and its importance would surely continue to rise in the future. They had to keep up with the development of the era.

They fully committed themselves to the research and cultivation of spiritual energy.

”You can actually bring out these little toys? Have you no shame?” The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor felt disdain for these attacks and didn’t take them seriously at all.

Ice covered all the incoming missiles, causing them all to fall beneath the sea surface. Immediately afterward, a loud boom followed, and massive waves rose, but the damage to the Zerg was minimal.

”Continue the attack.” At the order of the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor, the Zerg army, like a tidal wave, charged aggressively toward the maritime defense line.

”It seems your little toys are useless against it; it’s more practical to go head-to-head.”

Huzi looked at the massive Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor, swallowed a mouthful of saliva, and prepared himself to fight to the death, while not forgetting to mock General Wang Zhuo.

If he didn’t mock him a few times now, he might not have the chance later.

After all, this great war was a matter of life and death, and it had happened just when Bai Xuan was in seclusion; it really came at a bad time. Huzi, Xiao Hei, and Xiong Yan all thought the same.

But what other choice was there? They could only fight to the end.

”Let’s make our move.” Xiong Yan rubbed his hands together, gathering a sphere of magma in them. The energy intensified, and the temperature rose higher and higher; this was the power he had gained after advancing to the fifth rank.

He leaned back and, with a very standard posture, threw the huge magma sphere toward the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor. The speed exceeded the speed of sound, the sonic boom was deafening, and wherever it passed, the void was scorched and distorted.

It hit the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor’s head squarely, but did not cause any actual damage, which also showed the strength of his defense: ”The speed is not bad, but the power is a bit lacking; it’s just like an itch.”

”Leave this big bug to me, and leave the rest to you.” The voice of the Earth Nether Flood Dragon followed. At this moment, it was covered in dark water armor, and its body moved in an S-shape as it charged toward the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor.

”Seeking your own death.” The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor was not to be outdone and met the challenge. Comparing the two behemoths, the size difference was clear at a glance; obviously, the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor was much larger than the Earth Nether Flood Dragon, or rather, they were simply not on the same level.

”The Earth Nether Flood Dragon won’t be able to hold on for long. Let’s finish off those Zerg beasts as quickly as possible and then go to support it.” General Wang Zhuo said, leading his army to charge toward the Zerg that were about to come ashore.

By covering their limbs with spiritual energy, they could run and walk on the sea surface as if it were flat ground; this was the same for martial artists, spirit beasts, and fierce beasts.

In an instant, both sides clashed, fighting fiercely.

Fighter jets, bombers, tanks, aircraft carriers, and warships paved the way, bombarding the Zerg army wildly. Finally, they bombarded the Zerg beasts in the rear area, isolating them, or at the very least blocking them, utilizing spirit beasts, fierce beasts, martial artists, and thermal weapons to the extreme to execute their tactics.

The sky darkened, gloomy and very oppressive.

Below, the fighting was intense; howls and roars were incessant, colorful elemental attacks continued one after another, corpses sank into the sea, and blood dyed the entire ocean area red.
