Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

127: Chapter 127 Bai Xuan Saves the Day, Dr. Wang. After hearing Bai Xuan’s voice, Hu Da and the Azure Wolf King lowered their defenses. What met their eyes was a gargantuan beast.

This giant ferocious eagle was none other than Bai Xuan, looking even more imposing than before. His aura was outrageously powerful, leaving the Azure Wolf King too shocked to speak for a moment.

”This is just too powerful,” it thought. The mere aura radiating from him stripped away any desire to fight, even giving it an urge to submit.

”Brother Bai, I’m glad you arrived. Otherwise, we would have been in danger,” Hu Da said as he stepped forward, then glanced toward the location of the Insectoid Beast King.

It was clear that the Insectoid Beast King was dead beyond any doubt; it had been frozen solid, its flesh shattered, staining the ice crystals green as a foul, bloody stench filled the air.

Immediately after, Bai Xuan swallowed the Insectoid Beast King in one gulp, devouring it completely. Even a mosquito is meat, no matter how small; it would be a waste not to eat it.

”Are you alright? Are your injuries serious?” Bai Xuan asked.

”I’m fine, but Huzi, Xiao Hei, and Xiong Yan are quite badly hurt. Brother Bai, you should go check on them first; we can handle things here.”

Thinking of the injuries sustained by Huzi, Xiao Hei, and Xiong Yan, Hu Da felt a moment of despondency, his eyes filled with worry.

”Very well. They’re mostly dead anyway. I’ll leave the small fry to you all,” Bai Xuan nodded slightly.

Since arriving, Bai Xuan had released his domain, precisely freezing and killing those Insectoid spirit beasts, leaving only some small fry—third and fourth-rank—which Hu Da and the others could handle.

Hearing this, Hu Da turned his head to look behind him and surveyed the surroundings. It was indeed as Bai Xuan said; most of them had been slaughtered. He couldn’t help but exclaim, ”Brother Bai, your strength is truly terrifying.”

”Your younger brother, Cang Feng, greets the Eagle Emperor.” Cang Feng was the Azure Wolf King’s name. Having regained his composure, he stepped forward, lowered his head, bowed slightly, and greeted him respectfully.

”You must be the Dragon Kingdom’s Azure Wolf King. I have heard of you; your strength is not bad,” Bai Xuan said, looking at Cang Feng and nodding slightly in praise.

Being able to bend and stretch, reaching a cooperation with the Dragon Kingdom while in a disadvantageous position, was enough to show that this guy’s intelligence was quite good—at least for a ferocious beast of that era, it was considered quite impressive.

But then again, to be able to become a Wolf King and grow up in such a tense situation, his intelligence couldn’t be low.

”Many thanks for the praise, Eagle Emperor.” Cang Feng was somewhat flattered, not expecting Bai Xuan to be so easy to get along with.

He had assumed Bai Xuan would be arrogant and look down on him, giving at most a simple response for Hu Da’s sake, but Bai Xuan’s response had completely exceeded his expectations.

”I’ll be heading off first. I’ll leave the remaining cleanup to you all,” Bai Xuan said, then flew into the air, sucking all the Insectoid spirit beast corpses into his stomach and devouring them completely.

Cang Feng watched Bai Xuan leave: ”The Eagle Emperor is truly extraordinary.”

”That goes without saying. Otherwise, how could he have become our Beast Emperor?” Hu Da replied. With Bai Xuan going to check on Huzi, Xiao Hei, and Xiong Yan, he felt relieved. Now, all that remained was to clean up the aftermath.

”Brother Hu, you must put in a good word for me. My future depends entirely on you.” Cang Feng had been completely won over by Bai Xuan and was eager to befriend him and establish a partnership, closely linking the Wolf Clan with the Eagle King.

This way, the Azure Wolf Clan could survive better. He was naturally aware of the situation regarding handing over resources and was willing to do so in exchange for protection. Having a backer would make things much easier in the future.

”Understood. The most important thing now is to end the battle quickly.” After saying this, Hu Da began to hunt down the Insectoid spirit beasts that were fleeing in all directions. Cang Feng followed closely behind, slaughtering the Insectoid spirit beasts, ensuring as few as possible escaped.

...

”Your Excellency Eagle Emperor, we sincerely thank you for helping us overcome this crisis, and we also congratulate you on your successful advancement. After some time, when we have prepared gifts, we will personally visit to offer them.” General Wang Zhuo stepped forward to welcome Bai Xuan, bowing in salute.

It was thanks to Bai Xuan that they were able to resolve the crisis so quickly. However, they were unsure if Bai Xuan would turn against them, so they remained vigilant, though General Wang Zhuo acted with great respect. Given Bai Xuan’s status and strength, he was completely worthy of such treatment.

The Earth Nether Flood Dragon also arrived here: ”Congratulations to the Lord of the Far East on advancing to the sixth rank.”

”Enough nonsense, take me to where Huzi and the others are.” Bai Xuan replied coolly. He was in no mood for pleasantries right now; it was better to go check on Huzi and the others first. Bai Xuan had already used Divine Sense Perception to locate Huzi and flew toward that direction.

General Wang Zhuo and the Earth Nether Flood Dragon followed closely behind. The small fry could be handled by others; they had more important things to do, which was to keep a close eye on Bai Xuan and avoid any accidents.

A moment later, Bai Xuan arrived at the rear field hospital. Some reporters, unable to contain themselves, carried cameras into or behind the buildings to film the scene before them; after all, the arrival of a sixth-rank Beast Emperor would surely become a hot topic.

They would not miss this opportunity. At the same time, the war was mostly over, and the Dragon Kingdom was temporarily out of danger, so they were no longer as fearful and had become bold again.

Upon seeing Bai Xuan, the Soldiers at the field hospital instantly became vigilant, but they did not raise their guns at him. If he were provoked, not only would they be finished, but the entire Dragon Kingdom would suffer.

Present were also doctors, nurses, the wounded, spirit beasts, etc. Upon seeing Bai Xuan, their eyes all revealed expressions of fear.

At this moment, General Wang Zhuo also arrived and anxiously shouted at the Soldiers: ”What are you still standing there for? Go tell those reporters to stop filming and don’t offend His Excellency the Eagle Emperor.”

The crisis hadn’t ended yet, and they were filming so blatantly; it was simply courting death! ”Yes,” a Soldier replied respectfully, then hurried off to carry out the order.

”Dr. Wang, how are those three... subordinates of the Eagle Emperor that I had sent over earlier?” General Wang Zhuo stepped forward to ask a highly respected doctor in charge.

”Their lives have been temporarily saved, but they require further treatment. We cannot guarantee whether they will recover, but we will do our utmost to treat them.”

Dr. Wang described the condition of Huzi, Xiao Hei, and Xiong Yan. They were still in a coma, but thanks to their all-out emergency efforts, their lives were temporarily preserved.

”Take me to see them.” Bai Xuan shrank his body to the size of a normal large bird of prey and said coolly.

Huzi, Xiao Hei, and Xiong Yan had been sent to the underground hospital to ensure they wouldn’t be subjected to a second attack. It was the highest-standard treatment facility, requiring an access card and password to enter. To avoid unnecessary trouble, Bai Xuan did not force his way in.

”Please follow me.” Dr. Wang led the way, bringing Bai Xuan and General Wang Zhuo into the field hospital. The Earth Nether Flood Dragon did the same; he could change his size, but could only maintain a minimum size of twenty meters, and followed closely behind.
