Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

142: Chapter 142 The Giant Forest Turtle, the Small Island.Afterward, Bai Xuan chatted with the Deep Sea Flood Dragon for a while longer before letting it leave. The Deep Sea Flood Dragon did not return to its own sea territory, but instead stayed in the Far East Region, intending to remain there for some time to interact with the other ferocious beasts and build rapport.

It was best to integrate as quickly as possible and become a unified whole, so that if anything happened in the future, it could immediately receive help from the surrounding ferocious beast forces under Bai Xuan.

Two days later.

”Brother Bai, the Forest Giant Turtle’s territory is just ahead.”

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon led the way, looking at the island in front of it as it spoke.

Bai Xuan was perched on top of its head, between its coral dragon horns. He had similarly shrunk his body; otherwise, it would look very strange, and the Deep Sea Flood Dragon would not be able to bear Bai Xuan’s massive physique.

”I can see it,” Bai Xuan responded lazily.

With such a large creature right before his eyes, how could Bai Xuan possibly not see it? His divine sense had already long since perceived this giant turtle.

However, one had to admit that this giant turtle was truly massive. He was six or seven hundred meters long, and his shell was no different from land—it had flowers, grass, soil, and even a small hill with dense, lush vegetation.

His body was hidden in the water, and from a distance, he looked exactly like a small island.

Following this, Bai Xuan remarked:

”How carefree. We’ve already gotten this close, and he’s still in the mood to sleep.”

It was less like sleeping and more like cultivating, absorbing the resources within his body.

The Forest Giant Turtle would dive to the seabed, forming a protective barrier on his back to shield the land. At the same time, there were living creatures on his back; it was unclear why this behemoth would carry such a burden in his life.

However, the Forest Giant Turtle also rarely ate. Or rather, he used resources and spirit stones in place of food to replenish the energy he needed, which also allowed him to improve his cultivation and strength, becoming increasingly massive.

As for resources, there was actually no need to worry. This entire region was his territory, and the ferocious beast tribes under his command would provide a continuous stream of resources for him to absorb and cultivate with.

”That guy has excellent defense. Under normal circumstances, no ferocious beast would attack him. Plus, since this is his territory, he can cultivate with such peace of mind. I’ve passed by several times, and he hasn’t reacted at all. It’s also possible that he has remembered my aura, so having no reaction is normal.”

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon explained. This was fine, though; a direct sneak attack to kill him in one blow would save him from running away and having to be chased.

It naturally couldn’t do that itself; it was hard enough to even break through the defense, let alone kill him in one blow. This logic could only apply to Bai Xuan.

”I see.” Bai Xuan nodded slightly. He had hidden his aura, just waiting for those suicidal Beast Kings to take the bait and attack the Deep Sea Flood Dragon, so he could kill them.

Having said that, Bai Xuan directly released his pressure, precisely pressing it down upon the Forest Giant Turtle.

With a loud boom, a roar resounded through the sky. A massive head broke through the water’s surface, causing waves to surge as seawater splashed back into the ocean.

”This... this pressure is so strong. May I ask which Beast King has graced me with their presence? My younger brother has failed to welcome you properly; please forgive me and withdraw your divine ability.”

The Forest Giant Turtle looked left and right, speaking hurriedly. Finally, he saw the Deep Sea Flood Dragon, and his eyes revealed confusion. Could this be the work of the Deep Sea Flood Dragon?

He couldn’t sense exactly whose pressure it was. Since only the Deep Sea Flood Dragon was there, it was only natural for him to suspect the Deep Sea Flood Dragon. But upon second thought, he felt it was impossible, as he could sense the Deep Sea Flood Dragon’s aura.

This pressure definitely wasn’t released by the Deep Sea Flood Dragon, so who could it possibly be?

”Eagle Emperor, do you not plan to kill him?” the Deep Sea Flood Dragon asked, somewhat surprised.

”We’ll see,” Bai Xuan replied nonchalantly.

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon didn’t say anything more and instead flew in front of the Forest Giant Turtle.

If he wasn’t going to kill him, then so be it; becoming companions wouldn’t be bad either.

”Old Turtle, the one on top of my head is the renowned Lord of the Far East, the only Tier 6 Beast Emperor in the world—the Eagle Emperor.”

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon praised Bai Xuan to the skies. Based on its knowledge, this was reality, without any exaggeration; it even felt that it had understated his greatness.

”...”

Hearing this, the Forest Giant Turtle remembered such a figure and immediately spoke respectfully:

”This younger brother greets the Eagle Emperor. If I have done anything lacking, please feel free to rebuke me. I only ask that the Eagle Emperor... please withdraw your divine ability. I know I was wrong, and my body cannot bear it.”

Bai Xuan withdrew the pressure, and the Forest Giant Turtle felt his body become much lighter and more comfortable, feeling as though he had survived a disaster:

”I do not know why the Eagle Emperor has come here, but if there is anything you need from me, please just say the word. I will certainly do my utmost to cooperate and get it done.”

”You are quite sensible.” Bai Xuan looked at the Forest Giant Turtle with curiosity. This guy seemed somewhat different from what he had imagined, and his body structure was quite peculiar, which made Bai Xuan very curious.

”I admire you very much, Eagle Emperor. I had originally planned to pay a visit after some time, but I was too engrossed in cultivation and lost track of time. Please forgive me, Eagle Emperor. Do not hold it against me.”

From the Forest Giant Turtle’s tone, one could hear his intense desire to survive.

At the same time, he also guessed that the Deep Sea Flood Dragon had submitted to the Eagle Emperor one step ahead of him.

If he had known this earlier, he should have raced against time to go and submit, and he wouldn’t have ended up in such an awkward situation now.

”If all ferocious beasts were like you and thought this way, it would be great. I wouldn’t have to go looking for them personally, don’t you agree?” Bai Xuan smiled. If they came to submit and handed over resources on time, Bai Xuan would certainly not go looking for trouble with them; after all, they were smart and had foresight.

However, most of those who had to be personally subdued or killed by Bai Xuan did not have a good ending.

At the same time, those who were too late would be ruthlessly killed by Bai Xuan, allowing the ferocious beast tribes that had belonged to Bai Xuan first to have more territory and more living space, so they could better collect resources for Bai Xuan.

”The Eagle Emperor is right.” Cold sweat streamed down the Forest Giant Turtle, fearing that if he displeased Bai Xuan, he would directly attack him, and he would certainly have no power to parry.

The gap in strength was right there; even if he wanted to resist, he would be powerless to do so.

Seeing this scene, the Deep Sea Flood Dragon felt fortunate that it had the foresight to lead its tribe to submit and surrender to Bai Xuan.

Meanwhile, those creatures on the turtle shell ran out one after another. They were some land-based ferocious beasts—monkeys, black weasels, and so on—all of which were relatively small in size. They roared at Bai Xuan and the Deep Sea Flood Dragon, taking up battle stances and trying their best to look fierce to scare off the enemy.

”All of you, go back! Don’t come out.” After noticing their actions, the Forest Giant Turtle hurriedly stopped them and scolded them to go back. If they angered the Eagle Emperor because of this, they would all lose their lives here.

”But, Great King...” said a three-meter-tall monkey, the leader.

”Don’t ask any more questions. Hurry and take them back!” The Forest Giant Turtle wanted to cry but had no tears.
