Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

140: Chapter 140 Bai Xuan is speechless; the spirit beast returns home.”Did you all misunderstand something?”

”We all understand, Little Bai, just admit it openly.”

”Exactly, you have to face reality. Procreating is the top priority. Besides, it’s not something shameful; it’s human nature. If you’re really worried, we can guarantee that we will never speak of this matter.”

Hu Zi kept getting more outrageous, acting as if he was doing it for Bai Xuan’s own good.

”...”

”Don’t overthink it. I just have other things to busy myself with for the time being. We can talk about procreating later.” Bai Xuan sighed helplessly, feeling completely speechless toward them.

They were overthinking things way too much. Besides, Bai Xuan really couldn’t summon any interest in procreating with birds.

”What else is there to be busy with now? Hasn’t everything already been resolved? Besides, procreating doesn’t take that long. You don’t even have to take care of them; if it really comes to that, we’ll take care of the children for you. That should be fine, right?”

Xiao Hei had no intention of stopping there; he was determined to convince Bai Xuan today.

Hu Zi chimed in as well, earnestly trying to persuade him to reproduce:

”That’s right, Brother Bai. You only need to set aside a few minutes, or maybe ten-plus minutes a day to do it. Leave the rest to us; we guarantee we’ll arrange everything clearly for you.”

”...”

”I’m really done with you guys. Can you stop guessing blindly? Besides, there are still many potential threats on Blue Star right now. I must focus all my energy on cultivation. Can you please stop talking about these things? I’m begging you.”

The more Bai Xuan listened, the more annoyed he became. What kind of mess was this?

They were actually urging him to reproduce now. It seemed he couldn’t urge them to expand their clans in the future, otherwise, they would turn around and urge him instead.

However, even if Bai Xuan didn’t urge them to expand their clans, they would still do it. They all wanted their own clans to grow stronger, hoping to become a force capable of facing all dangers.

And they were working hard in that direction.

”This... fine. Since you’re so unwilling, then forget it.”

Xiao Hei finally sighed. On the surface, he appeared to have given up on the idea, but inside, he was plotting a plan to get Bai Xuan to procreate.

”Brother Bai, since you’ve said so, we won’t urge you anymore. By the way, keep these treasures of heaven and earth well. Remember to eat three or four stalks every day. If that’s not enough, we’ll send more over.”

After Hu Zi finished speaking, he placed a large pile of yang-strengthening supplements in front of Bai Xuan.

”Forget it, I’m not talking to you guys anymore. I have other things to busy myself with, so I’m leaving first.” Bai Xuan flapped his wings and flew away, too lazy to keep bickering with them. If he couldn’t out-argue them, couldn’t he just escape?

”Little Bai, this guy just has too strong of a sense of pride. Wait until I think of a way to secretly get him to eat these potent supplements, and then use a beauty trap with a bird to seduce him. That way, he’ll definitely be able to produce offspring.”

”As expected of you, you’re so smart.” Hu Zi gave a thumbs up, praising him. This was a very good idea; Hu Zi hadn’t thought of it at all.

”There’s no other way; if reasoning doesn’t work, we can only use these methods. I hope Little Bai won’t blame me.” Xiao Hei gave a bitter smile.

”He won’t. Brother Bai will be too busy thanking you to blame you.” Hu Zi declared confidently, believing that once Bai Xuan experienced mating, he would definitely change his mind.

However, they would have to intervene a bit at that time to ensure he didn’t slack off in his cultivation and delay important matters. Both were necessary; neither could be missing.

”I hope so.” Xiao Hei nodded gently.

...

Daxing Mountain Range, Dragon Country border.

Winter had passed, and the forest was filled with singing birds and fragrant flowers, like a green ocean, lush and beautiful.

Now was the time to send Da Huang and the others back.

Da Huang, the Three-Tailed Nether Cat, the Gale Panda, the Shadow Wolf, and the other Shadow Wolf were all sent to the border, waiting for Dragon Country to come and collect them.

During this time, Da Huang and the Shadow Cat naturally had a very comfortable time, but the other three spirit beasts were just average. They weren’t bullied, but they didn’t have a great time either; they weren’t used to this environment and had to hunt for food themselves, and they had to find the right prey to hunt.

Two Forest Rangers were also sent to the Dragon Country border, waiting to be picked up. Although Xiao Hei was looking out for them and they had plenty of food and drink, they weren’t very accustomed to the life of fierce beasts. Combined with the cold environment, they really wanted to return and didn’t want to continue staying here in fear.

”Finally... finally I can go back.” Wang Gang wore a smile of someone who had survived a disaster. His eyes were moist, and his lips were frozen purple. He was clearly much more haggard and hadn’t recovered yet.

But that was understandable. Being with fierce beasts all the time, each one huge like a small mountain, was incredibly intimidating. How could he not be afraid?

The Forest Ranger who had saved Xiao Hei said: ”Although I’m a bit reluctant to leave Xiao Hei, that place really isn’t suitable for us to live. It’s more comfortable to go home.”

Although Xiao Hei had been very good to him, giving him many resources to absorb and cultivate, he had already improved by a whole major rank by now, reaching the Tier 3 level.

But he still really wanted to go home.

With this kind of strength, he had already stepped into the level of a powerhouse in Dragon Country and could also get a very good job. Just based on his relationship with Xiao Hei, his treatment wouldn’t be low.

For helping Dragon Country and the fierce beast faction reach a friendly situation, they were already major contributors; their benefits and resources would certainly be high.

General Wang Zhuo and the President of the Martial Arts Association walked out of the border city gate and said to Bai Xuan: ”Long time no see, Eagle Emperor. How have you been lately?”

”Not bad.” Bai Xuan responded perfunctorily.

Then he looked at Da Huang and the other spirit beasts, as well as Wang Gang and the Forest Ranger: ”You all go back now.”

”Then, Eagle Emperor, we will go back. Goodbye.” Wang Gang and the Forest Ranger replied respectfully. The spirit beasts did the same, bidding farewell to Bai Xuan with great respect.

After Da Huang glanced at Bai Xuan, he followed the spirit beasts and Wang Gang’s group toward General Wang Zhuo.

”Thank you, Eagle Emperor, for taking such good care of them. Their levels have improved a lot; we are deeply grateful.”

Seeing that Wang Gang, the Forest Ranger, and the spirit beasts were all unharmed—only Wang Gang and the Forest Ranger were a bit haggard, and their levels had increased more or less—General Wang Zhuo didn’t think too much of it.

After all, not everyone could adapt to that kind of cold environment.

”No need. If there’s nothing else, just go back.” Bai Xuan’s tone was perfunctory. The matter of the spirit beasts and humans coming over was finished, and there was no need to say much more, which would only make both sides feel tense.

Hu Da and Mother Tiger stared fixedly at General Wang Zhuo, looking as if they would strike without hesitation if the other party dared to make any suspicious moves.

”There is one more important thing. We also came specially to thank you, Eagle Emperor, for taking such good care of them. These are a small token of our appreciation; we hope you will accept them.”

General Wang Zhuo took out some treasures of heaven and earth and presented them to Bai Xuan.

...

Bai Xuan accepted the gift of thanks and then let General Wang Zhuo take the spirit beasts and humans back. The matter of friendly exchange could be considered successfully concluded.

”Everyone disperse.” Bai Xuan told the fierce beasts gathered here to disperse.

Actually, there was no need to worry about the border at all; they wouldn’t come here to show off their strength. However, if they wanted to come, Bai Xuan wouldn’t say anything.

Upon hearing Bai Xuan’s order, they all dispersed and returned to where they came from.

”Brother Bai, there is one thing I have never understood. Why not attack Dragon Country? They treated us like that before, and now that we have become stronger, why not wipe them out to gain more resources and more territory?”

Hu Da asked Bai Xuan, feeling puzzled and confused.

Logically speaking, even if Bai Xuan didn’t make a move, they could still wipe out Dragon Country. They might not be able to defeat that guardian beast king, the Earth Nether Flood Dragon, but they could wear it down to death.

”Hu Da.” Mother Tiger scolded, signaling for Hu Da not to ask questions he shouldn’t.

”The resources are enough for you to survive now. Preserve some strength. There are other reasons, but I won’t speak of them. You will know in the future.”

Bai Xuan replied nonchalantly.

”Alright.” Hu Da sighed. Even if Bai Xuan was unwilling to say, he wouldn’t press for the root of the matter.

”If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving first.” After speaking, Bai Xuan flapped his wings and left. Next, he just needed to consume resources and wait for the Inner Earth World to open.

Bai Xuan planned to use the previous World Tree origin spirit liquid for advancing to Tier 7. This way, even if the Inner Earth World didn’t open, he could ensure he would be able to advance to Tier 7.

”Hu Da, it’s better not to get to the bottom of some things. Don’t ask such questions in the future.”

Mother Tiger reminded him. She could see that Bai Xuan didn’t want to attack Dragon Country and even intended to alleviate the tense relationship between Dragon Country and the fierce beasts, unlike with other countries. If it were Bear Country, it would have long been trampled by the fierce beast army led by Bai Xuan.

Now that they possessed so much territory and resources, Mother Tiger was already very satisfied. These resources were enough for them to cultivate.

Some time ago, Bai Xuan even lowered the resources that some clans in the Far East Region and Siberia Region had to hand over, from the original 40% to 30%. Hu Zi, Hu Da, Mother Tiger, Xiao Hei, Xiong Yan, the Rat King, the Deer King, Xue Yu, and others—these were all reduced.

”I understand.” Hu Da nodded gently.

”It’s good that you understand.” Mother Tiger replied. Then, as if remembering something, she said: ”By the way, Hu Da, you also need to hurry up and procreate. I want to hold my grandchildren sooner.”

”Doesn’t Hu Zi already have children? Why don’t you go over there and hold them?” Hearing this, Hu Da’s mouth twitched. Why were they back to this topic again?

Ever since Hu Zi’s children were born, Mother Tiger couldn’t put them down and often ran over there to see her grandchildren. At the same time, she didn’t forget to urge Hu Da to procreate faster.

”I will definitely go over to Hu Zi’s side, but you also need to step up and procreate faster. You’re not young anymore; look at Hu Zi, he had children before you.”

Mother Tiger replied. Tiger cubs were born in the clan, but how could the clan’s cubs be as good as her own grandchildren?

”I know, I will try.” Hu Da sighed. It seemed he would have to complete the task of procreating next.

”It’s good that you know. Don’t make me wait too long. Strive to produce a dozen or so tiger cubs. Don’t worry, I will help you take care of them.”

Mother Tiger nodded with gratification.

”If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back first.” Hu Da said hello and prepared to leave.

”Wait, I’m going to Hu Zi’s place. You look after my clan more, don’t let them cause any trouble.”

Mother Tiger instructed, and after speaking, she left on her own.

”...” Seeing this scene, Hu Da was silent for a moment, then simply agreed. Now, there was no need to worry about the human border, but it was inevitable that fierce beasts would have conflicts, fight, or even engage in chaotic battles. Therefore, powerful fierce beasts were needed to hold the fort and avoid such things from happening.

...

Three days later.

Bai Xuan arrived at the sea area north of the Far East Region, which was the sea area close to the Arctic. Xue Yu stepped forward and said:

”Brother Bai, a group of marine fierce beasts wants to come and pledge allegiance to you.”

”I know. I’ll go take a look.” Bai Xuan nodded gently, then used his Divine Sense Perception to scan the sea area, flapped his wings, and flew to the center of the sea. Xue Yu followed closely behind, staying by his side.

”Since you want to pledge allegiance, why haven’t you shown yourselves yet?”

Bai Xuan had originally planned to wait a few days to go to the deep sea, but he didn’t expect marine fierce beasts to arrive so quickly.

”We pay our respects to the Eagle Emperor.” A flood dragon, five hundred meters long, rushed out of the sea and flew in the air. Following closely behind, one by one, huge marine fierce beasts surfaced—killer whales, sharks, and whales—filling the entire sea area. They all looked at Bai Xuan in the air in unison and shouted respectfully.

This flood dragon was naturally not the Earth Nether Flood Dragon from Dragon Country, but the Deep Sea Flood Dragon. It possessed Tier 5, Level 4 cultivation, had a huge body, was deep blue all over, and was covered in dense, diamond-shaped scales. It had coral-like dragon horns on its head and three claws on each of its four limbs.

It had evolved from a sea snake and possessed terrifying toxicity. After entering Tier 3, it entered the deep sea to continue growing and evolving. At the same time, it had subdued many marine fierce beast clans and had now formed a large force.

”Are these all your subordinates?” Bai Xuan looked at the Deep Sea Flood Dragon and asked. This guy was actually quite capable, being able to subdue so many marine fierce beasts, and his own strength wasn’t weak either—Tier 5, Level 4. It was enough to go toe-to-toe with the Earth Nether Flood Dragon from Dragon Country.

”Exactly. As long as the Eagle Emperor is willing, we are all your subordinates. We will obey every command; if you tell us to go east, we will never go west.”

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon was very far-sighted. Rather than waiting for the Eagle Emperor to enter the deep sea and subdue them, it was better for them to come and pledge allegiance themselves to avoid casualties.

At the same time, submitting to Bai Xuan was not something shameful; on the contrary, one should feel proud, after all, he was the strongest creature on Blue Star.

On the surface, that was the case, but the situation of the Inner Earth World was still unclear, and with the existence of creatures like the World Tree that had existed in the world for a long time, Bai Xuan was indeed not quite enough.

”You should know my rules, right?”

Bai Xuan asked. Taking in some marine fierce beasts wasn’t a bad thing. At the same time, Bai Xuan could learn about the situation in the deep sea to avoid getting into trouble.

Even though Bai Xuan had now advanced to Tier 6 and become a Beast Emperor, after the previous incident with the World Tree, Bai Xuan clearly realized that there were still many powerful creatures in this world, and he was not the strongest on Blue Star. It was better to be cautious.
