Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

116: Chapter 116 Tiger and Little Black lead the way, offering reminders.”I assume you don’t have the guts for that either.”

Hu Da snorted coldly, not relaxing his vigilance in the slightest because of General Wang Zhuo’s words.

”By the way, Crow, you should have two human friends, right?” General Wang Zhuo seemed to recall something, looked at Xiao Hei, and asked.

”Are you trying to use them to threaten me?” Xiao Hei’s eyes turned cold, its aura surged, and dark black flames erupted around its body; it seemed it had already become enraged.

The other ferocious beasts, eyeing them covetously, were the same, looking at General Wang Zhuo and his group with man-eating eyes.

The consequences of a fifth-tier ferocious beast getting angry are very serious, but General Wang Zhuo and his group were not afraid. With the Earth Nether Flood Dragon present, as long as the Lord of the Far East did not appear, these ferocious beasts could not pose much of a threat to them.

”No, don’t misunderstand. I was just asking casually. If you want, I can send people to invite them over to see you. This could also ease the relationship between humans and ferocious beasts.” General Wang Zhuo shook his head gently and explained.

His purpose in coming here was precisely to reach a consensus with the ferocious beasts.

Currently, their greatest enemy was the Zerg. Ultimately, they were both creatures of Blue Star; when facing outsiders, they should work together to drive the outsiders out, rather than fighting amongst themselves and letting the outsiders take advantage of the situation.

”Are you really that kind-hearted?” Xiao Hei withdrew its aura and calmed its mood.

”Today is different from the past. Now that the Zerg have invaded and want to occupy Blue Star, it is precisely because of this that we need to cooperate. Infighting will only benefit those Zerg, and that is not something either you or I want to see, is it?”

General Wang Zhuo explained. As the saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and besides, the situation is different now; continuing to fight amongst ourselves is not good for either side.

”Fine, I will trust you once.” After a moment of silence, Xiao Hei nodded gently.

”Good, in a while, I will send people to invite your two friends to see you.” General Wang Zhuo displayed a gentle and elegant smile. Those two Forest Rangers could become a breakthrough point to ease the tense relationship between the two sides.

Meanwhile.

”Let them in.”

The voice of Bai Xuan reached the ears of Huzi, Hu Da, Mother Tiger, and Xiao Hei.

Hearing this, they hesitated for a moment, exchanged glances, and nodded gently. Huzi spoke first:

”Brother Bai has agreed to see you. Follow me. If you dare to pull any tricks, don’t blame us for being merciless.”

Xiao Hei translated, and General Wang Zhuo nodded gently: ”Good, sorry to trouble you with leading the way.”

”Won’t it be too dangerous?” A fourth-tier, ninth-stage martial artist in the helicopter said worriedly.

Negotiating at the border at least provided some guarantees, but entering the Far East Region was akin to walking into a dragon’s den or a tiger’s lair; it was extremely dangerous.

”Do you expect the Lord of the Far East to come and meet us in person? Don’t forget that we are the ones requesting to see the Lord of the Far East; the fact that we were allowed to enter is already quite good.”

”It wouldn’t matter if we died, but if the Guardian Spirit Beast and General Wang Zhuo died, it would be a devastating loss for the Dragon Kingdom and concerns the future of the Dragon Kingdom.”

”Stop saying so much. General Wang Zhuo has already agreed. Furthermore, if the Lord of the Far East really wanted to kill the Earth Nether Flood Dragon, he would have killed it last time; why wait until now?”

”Shut up! Do you know what kind of occasion this is? Is this a place where you can speak without restraint?!” Finally, someone couldn’t help but scold them. This was not the time for bickering. It was fine to fool around at normal times, but saying such unbridled things on an important occasion was simply audacious.

What did they mean by killing the Earth Nether Flood Dragon? That was a grave disrespect to the Guardian Spirit Beast.

”Follow me.”

Xiao Hei said. This time, Xiao Hei and Huzi led the way to the central area.

Meanwhile, Hu Da, Mother Tiger, and the other ferocious beasts went to attend to their own affairs—some to go into seclusion, some to forage for food.

Just like that, the Earth Nether Flood Dragon carried General Wang Zhuo, followed by several helicopters, and headed towards the central area at a steady pace.

Along the way, the Earth Nether Flood Dragon, General Wang Zhuo, and the martial artists observed the beautiful scenery and the situation of the ferocious beasts. The ferocious beasts here were not weak and were full of wildness.

Usually, they would fight each other and be at odds, but once there was an order, they would temporarily put aside their hatred and work together to complete the task, just like in the Bear Country war and the Zerg disaster.

Even after experiencing so many tragic wars, the ferocious beasts of the Far East Region were not crushed. Compared to the carefully cultivated spirit beasts of the Dragon Kingdom, they were not inferior at all. Most importantly, it was their numbers, which were completely incomparable to the spirit beasts of the Dragon Kingdom.

If a real fight were to break out, the Dragon Kingdom could gain the upper hand in high-tier combat, but they would not have an advantage at the mid and low tiers. The Dragon Kingdom now had many martial artists, with numbers exceeding one-fifth, but most were Sub-tier or first-tier and lacked actual combat experience. Facing ferocious beasts of the same level, their chances of winning were very low. Second-tier and third-tier martial artists were just beginning to show their potential but still could not be compared to the ferocious beasts, and fourth-tier and fifth-tier ones were even rarer.

However, they still had an advantage; humans were better at using weapons than ferocious beasts, and with the support of various external items, they could significantly increase their own strength.

For example, those fourth-tier, ninth-stage powerhouses in the helicopter, by going all out and unleashing various trump cards and high-tech weapons to the limit, could fight a fifth-tier ferocious beast back and forth without being killed instantly.

”Up ahead is Xiao Bai’s residence.” Xiao Hei looked at the cold ice cave dwelling not far away, where Bai Xuan was standing at the entrance waiting.

”Thank you, Crow.” General Wang Zhuo nodded gently and thanked it.

He knew that Xiao Hei had known Bai Xuan the longest. As long as he maintained a good relationship with Xiao Hei and had it put in a good word for him with Bai Xuan, it would significantly increase the probability of reaching a cooperation agreement.

”You’re welcome.” After a moment of silence, Xiao Hei responded politely.

”Xiao Hei, don’t forget your stance.” Huzi couldn’t help but remind it.

”Rest assured, I have my own sense of propriety.” Xiao Hei sighed and gave a wry smile. It truly wanted to see its lifesaver, but it still had a sense of propriety; the overall situation was paramount, and it would not jeopardize the ferocious beast group because of this small personal sentiment.

”Don’t overthink it, I was just kindly reminding you.” Huzi replied.

”I understand.” Xiao Hei nodded gently.

”Mr. Tiger, I don’t mean anything else, I’m just simply expressing my gratitude and have no ill intent.” General Wang Zhuo, having heard the conversation between Huzi and Xiao Hei through the translator, said with an awkward smile.

”That would be best.” Huzi rolled its eyes at General Wang Zhuo. It had thought about making a human friend, but that was just out of curiosity. If that didn’t work, it could enslave a few humans in the future to explain interesting things about humans to it. That was also doable; with its status, it didn’t need to hide or furtively enslave them.

”We’ve arrived.” Xiao Hei and Huzi landed on the ground, followed closely by the Earth Nether Flood Dragon, which landed on all fours, its body in an S-shape, standing on the ground, looking at Bai Xuan in front of it—he had become stronger again!

”We meet again, Lord of the Far East.” The Earth Nether Flood Dragon greeted him.
