Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

111: Chapter 111 Fifth Rank, Seventh Stage, Earth Nether DragonThe body of Xuesha, which had been severed in two, healed. It teleported in front of Bai Yun and used its body to block the incoming Extreme Cold Breath.

This time, it was truly angry and serious. It transformed into its original form, fifty meters long, resembling a long dragon. Its entire body was covered in dense, layered armor. It had four arms and four legs, with razor-sharp five-fingered claws. On its back was a pair of massive fleshy wings. Its head was oval-shaped, and its bloodthirsty maw was filled with rows of fangs. Its antennae were five or six meters long, looking extremely bizarre.

It let out a deafening roar that shook the heavens: ”Roar!!”

Its aura surged; this was its full strength, its true form.

The rows of fangs in its mouth began to spin crazily as energy gathered. A dark red beam of breath erupted from its mouth, forcing back the incoming Extreme Cold Breath.

”Xuesha, it has already been poisoned by the insect toxin. It won’t be long before it dies. You must not let it escape.” Bai Yun informed Xuesha about Bai Xuan being poisoned.

”I’m not blind yet.” Xuesha was very irritable at this moment.

Bai Yun didn’t care; instead, it clasped its hands together and began to gather energy.

Meanwhile, the two behemoths, Bai Xuan and Xuesha, began to grapple in close quarters again.

Bai Yun acted as support. Fighting two against one was still somewhat strenuous, but Bai Xuan did not fall behind, fighting them to a standstill.

”Why haven’t you died from the poison?” Bai Yun was incredibly shocked. Logically, this level of high-intensity combat should have accelerated the toxin’s effect, causing death. Yet, not only had Bai Xuan not died, he was full of vitality and fighting even more fiercely.

”I have poison immunity.” Bai Xuan sneered in response.

”How is this possible? My poison is difficult for even beasts of the same rank to withstand. How could you possibly be immune to my toxin!”

Bai Yun was greatly astonished. Furthermore, its toxin was unique to the Insect Race; even if Bai Xuan could be immune to toxins from the Blue Star, it was absolutely impossible for him to be immune to Insect Race toxins.

Bai Xuan didn’t explain much, simply tearing off two of Xuesha’s arms. Now, he was ready to exert his full strength and end the battle quickly. His fighting style became increasingly aggressive, and having understood their strength and tactics, he gradually gained the upper hand.

After some time, Xuesha was beaten until only its head remained. It lay weak and powerless on the desert, surrounded by its shattered body and severed limbs, looking utterly gruesome.

Xuesha was extremely unwilling to accept this reality. It couldn’t believe that it had been defeated by a native Blue Star beast two stages lower than itself, and had ended up in such a miserable state:

”Bai Yun! Kill it for me and avenge me!!”

Bai Yun felt helpless. Looking at Xuesha on the ground, it sighed helplessly after a moment of silence: ”Xuesha, I will unite with other Insect Race members and come back to avenge you.”

After saying this, it revealed its true form: a giant white worm fifty meters long. Its surface was fair, delicate, and smooth, like a young girl’s skin, possessing a strange kind of beauty.

”No! Bai Yu, come back! Don’t leave me behind!” Xuesha was starting to panic now. If Bai Yun left, wouldn’t it have no chance of survival?

Bai Xuan used his Eagle Claw to grab Xuesha’s remaining head: ”It seems your relationship isn’t as good as you thought.”

”Stop trying to sow discord! Even if you kill me, so what? Can it change the inevitable outcome of your death? You will all eventually become our slaves! And rations! Hahaha.”

Xuesha had no intention of begging for mercy, instead mocking and ridiculing Bai Xuan.

”Still stubborn even at death’s door.” Bai Xuan ended Xuesha’s life and then devoured it. The system’s voice followed:

[Devoured Insect Race Xuesha, Fifth Rank, Eighth Stage, obtained 900,000 evolution points.]

Bai Xuan consumed 8 million evolution points to raise his level to the Fifth Rank, Seventh Stage. His body grew larger, reaching a length of 45 meters and a wingspan of 130 meters, and then he chased after the direction in which Bai Yun had fled.

That was one million evolution points; how could Bai Xuan miss this opportunity?

...

Within the borders of the Dragon Kingdom, the flames of war were raging; screams, cries for help, and roars were incessant.

It was thought that the third Aura Revival would benefit the Dragon Kingdom and the entire world, but who would have thought it would bring disaster.

The Insect Race attacked suddenly, catching them off guard. They mobilized troops at the fastest speed to suppress the Insect Race.

Most of the Soldiers at the border were recalled, and tens of millions of Soldiers were deployed to carry out suppression and rescue operations.

But the Insect Race was powerful and had Fifth Rank demon beasts sitting in command. The Dragon Kingdom was forced to retreat step by step, only able to do its best to block the Insect Race’s advance, create time for rescue, and evacuate defenseless civilians. In just three days, there were countless casualties, and a continuous stream of troops was thrown into the battlefield.

The number of military personnel did not decrease but increased, as more and more people joined this battle concerning life and death.

”Could it be... could it be that we really have no way out?”

”Don’t give up. Now is not the time to be pessimistic. For the sake of the Dragon Kingdom and the future of our descendants, we must step forward.”

”You’re right. When the nation’s fate is at stake, every citizen has a responsibility! We must never let these beasts occupy our homeland!”

”My child, my child...”

Most people were very pessimistic. This sudden disaster had dealt them too great a blow; it was normal that they couldn’t accept it for a while.

It wasn’t just Soldiers who entered the battle; Spirit Beasts did as well. The Earth Nether Flood Dragon, capable of controlling the earth’s veins, had evolved from a Black Water Snake. It had absorbed the earth’s water sources all year round, advanced to the Fifth Rank to become a dragon, and was discovered by humans during its Fourth Rank stage. It was then conscripted and became a member of the Dragon Kingdom, staying in the underground mountain water sources, absorbing and devouring spirit stones, causing its level to soar.

After the third Aura Tide erupted, relying on its own talent, it was the first to advance to the Fifth Rank. Combined with being located in the area where the Aura Tide was strongest, its level jumped to the Fifth Rank, Third Stage, leading beasts to fight against the Insect Race.

There was also the Fourth Rank peak Explosive Flame Iron-Eating Beast, which was a giant panda.

The Azure Wolf King in the southern region reached a temporary consensus with humans to overcome this life-and-death disaster together.

In the army, one beast stood out in particular: a canine beast, thirty meters long, with well-developed muscles, two tails, and bone spurs growing along its spine. Its limbs were wreathed in orange-red flames, its mouth was full of fangs, and its shoulder blades were even fitted with human armor Flight devices to achieve the effect of Flight.

Its level was at the Fourth Rank, Eighth Stage. This was the result of a large amount of aura surging into its body after the third Aura Tide, allowing it to rise several stages in a row.

This beast was none other than Dahuang. At this moment, it was covered in blood—its own, as well as the blood of other martial artists, beasts, and demon beasts. It had been fighting continuously for two days and two nights. Even though its body was very fatigued, it still pressed forward, fighting against the Insect Race.
