Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

141: Chapter 141: The Deep-Sea Dragon Seeks Assistance and Gains Knowledge of the Sea Area.”We understand, we understand everything. We are willing to hand over forty percent of our resources. We will follow your arrangements, even if it means going through fire and water.”

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon nodded hurriedly.

If Bai Xuan didn’t exist, they would never have submitted to a land-based fierce beast, let alone hand over forty percent of their resources.

But there was no other way. They had witnessed and heard of Bai Xuan’s methods. Rather than waiting to be hunted down, it was better to take the initiative to submit and seek protection, treating it as paying a protection fee.

”Seeing your sincerity, I will take you in. If you encounter difficulties you cannot solve in the future, you can come to me at any time.”

Bai Xuan nodded slightly and then threw out a feather. If they encountered an unsolvable problem, they could use it to send a voice transmission to Bai Xuan. Bai Xuan would then step in personally or send a fierce beast to resolve it.

”Thank you, Eagle Emperor.” The Deep Sea Flood Dragon accepted the feather and thanked him sincerely.

He then looked at the largest marine beast below, the Heaven-Swallowing Giant Whale King. At the same time, it was also a Tier 5, Rank 3 Beast King, slightly weaker than the Deep Sea Flood Dragon. However, in a real fight, the Heaven-Swallowing Giant Whale King wouldn’t be defeated so quickly, nor would it be killed, thanks to its massive size.

Similarly, it couldn’t defeat the Deep Sea Flood Dragon, let alone kill it.

Each had its own advantages.

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon shouted, ”A’qiu, spit out the resources we need to hand over.”

With that, the Heaven-Swallowing Giant Whale King let out a whale song, and then a continuous stream of resources—marine treasures, spirit stones, and so on—were all spat out onto the shore, piling up like a mountain.

”It’s all here,” the Heaven-Swallowing Giant Whale King said after finishing, closing its massive mouth.

It was like a giant bag, capable of holding a vast amount of treasures.

”Eagle Emperor, if you’re not at ease, you can count them.”

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon turned its gaze back to Bai Xuan and spoke.

”No need.” Bai Xuan took out two Spatial Treasures, which flew in front of the Deep Sea Flood Dragon and the Heaven-Swallowing Giant Whale King respectively.

”These are Spatial Treasures. Inject your spiritual power to use them; they can store items. Consider these two as my meeting gifts to you. Go back and study them well; they aren’t hard to learn.”

Upon hearing Bai Xuan’s words, the Deep Sea Flood Dragon and the Heaven-Swallowing Giant Whale King hurriedly thanked him: ”Thank you for your favor, Eagle Emperor.”

”It’s nothing.”

Afterward, Bai Xuan invited the Deep Sea Flood Dragon to the central area of the Far East Region, while the other fierce beasts returned to where they came from.

”Eagle Emperor, is this where you live?” The Deep Sea Flood Dragon landed at the entrance of the Icy Cave Abode and asked after looking around.

This place was indeed a bit shabby. It couldn’t believe this was where the Eagle Emperor lived; its own residence was much better than the Eagle Emperor’s.

It had a Deep Sea Coral Cave, which was incredibly magnificent and very suitable for cultivation and seclusion. It was quiet and undisturbed. If it felt hungry, it only had to shout, and marine beasts would bring fresh food to serve the Deep Sea Flood Dragon.

It also had an island residence that was much the same, with land-based fierce beasts on the island to serve it. It lived a very comfortable life. As for resources, other fierce beasts collected them on its behalf, and then it and the Heaven-Swallowing Giant Whale King would distribute them.

”Yes, is there a problem?” Bai Xuan nodded slightly and then asked.

”No, it just feels a bit out of character for you,” the Deep Sea Flood Dragon hurriedly shook its head, but couldn’t help saying anyway.

”I don’t care about such things.”

Bai Xuan didn’t care much for these things. That was one reason; the other was that during that period, his residences were easily destroyed. After that, Bai Xuan simply made a cave abode to make do.

”As expected of the Eagle Emperor, putting all your heart and soul into cultivation. It fills us with admiration. If the Eagle Emperor is willing, I can help you decorate it a bit. I guarantee you’ll be satisfied.”

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon began to flatter and curry favor.

It had to build a good relationship with the Eagle Emperor as soon as possible and gain his favor. Only then could it obtain more privileges and benefits and rise step by step.

”No need, I’m doing quite well right now.” Bai Xuan was already used to living there. If he had wanted to decorate, he would have already ordered the fierce beasts under him to do it.

As long as Bai Xuan wanted it, he could even move a whole mountain over, but Bai Xuan felt it was unnecessary. As long as it was livable, it was fine. Besides, if it were caught in the crossfire of a battle again, wouldn’t he have to fix it up all over again? It was too much trouble.

”Alright then.” Hearing this, the Deep Sea Flood Dragon said no more.

”Come in and talk.” Bai Xuan opened the door to the cave abode. It wasn’t appropriate to discuss matters outside. After all, the Deep Sea Flood Dragon wasn’t like Hu Zi, Xiao Hei, or Xiong Yan; it was better to be a bit more formal.

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon followed Bai Xuan into the cave. The space inside was very large, but also very cold, with waves of cold mist rising. Even for a Beast King like the Deep Sea Flood Dragon that was adapted to the cold, it couldn’t adapt to it immediately.

Suddenly, the Deep Sea Flood Dragon couldn’t help but sneeze: ”Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean to, I just couldn’t help it.”

”No matter.” Bai Xuan controlled the cold air to move outside, raising the temperature inside so it wouldn’t be quite so cold.

”Do you still feel cold?” Bai Xuan asked.

”Not anymore, thank you, Eagle Emperor.” The Deep Sea Flood Dragon felt a bit warmer and thanked him politely.

Afterward, Bai Xuan began to ask about the situation in the deep sea. How were the fierce beasts? What about the resources? And were there things like the Zerg?

The Deep Sea Flood Dragon answered Bai Xuan’s questions one by one. The deep sea also had Aura Tides, but Zerg Monsters didn’t appear during the third one. However, they didn’t avoid being slaughtered by the Zerg Monsters.

Not long after the land suffered from the Zerg Monsters, the Zerg Monsters went into the water and began a ruthless slaughter of marine beasts, plundering a large amount of resources.

They were harmed quite badly. Later, when the Zerg Monsters were going to attack the Dragon Kingdom, enter the Far East Region directly, and kill Bai Xuan, most of the Zerg Monsters were redeployed. After they were defeated and mostly killed, the marine beasts finally had time to rest and recover.

As for the overall situation of the marine beasts, the Deep Sea Flood Dragon wasn’t very clear. However, in the area it controlled, the surrounding overlords included the Deep Sea Thousand-Tentacled Devil Squid and the Forest Giant Turtle, which was like a small island. The latter evolved from a sea turtle and was a wood-attribute fierce beast; the trees on its shell were lush and green, much like a forest.

There was also an even more powerful fierce beast, the Deep Sea Giant Strength Crab King. Its defense was extremely high, as was its strength. With those hard and sharp giant claws, even the Deep Sea Flood Dragon didn’t dare to go head-to-head with it.

Without exception, they were all Beast King level fierce beasts.

”That is indeed quite strong. I’ll go take a look in a couple of days.”

Bai Xuan nodded slightly. He didn’t take these fierce beasts seriously; they were just ants that he could slap to death at will.

After all, Bai Xuan was now a Tier 6, Rank 7 fierce beast, more than just a little bit stronger than before. They were merely Tier 5 Beast Kings; they weren’t in the same league at all and there was no comparison.

”Good, I’ll lead the way for you then, Eagle Emperor.” The Deep Sea Flood Dragon nodded slightly, happy to see Bai Xuan go there.

Conflicts between fierce beasts were perfectly normal, especially for those like them who each ruled a part of the sea. Conflicts were commonplace; no one submitted to anyone else, and all wanted to swallow up the other’s territory.
