Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

103: Chapter 103 The Third Spiritual Energy Tide, Strange Insects?Just as Bai Xuan was preparing to head to the sea to hunt.

The snowy mountains and the earth shook violently, as if something from the earth’s veins was about to burst out, causing a massive avalanche; snow mist filled the air like a tidal wave.

This feeling was very familiar. Bai Xuan hurriedly unleashed his Divine Sense Perception. After sensing what was happening within the earth’s veins, his eyes revealed excitement: ”It really is the Aura Tide!”

Bai Xuan flapped his wings and headed toward the location of the avalanche. There was no need to worry much about the central area, after all, there was only one snowy mountain, whereas other places appeared much more dangerous.

The fierce beasts were running wildly to escape the avalanche disaster, but the tidal wave of snow moved extremely fast, and just as it was about to submerge them...

Bai Xuan arrived in time and circulated the aura within his body. Ice walls rose from the ground, reaching over a hundred meters in height, stopping the spreading avalanche.

Seeing this, the fierce beasts cried out in gratitude: ”Many thanks, Eagle King!”

...

Bai Xuan was still counting on them to collect spirit stones for him. If they were to be submerged, killed, or temporarily lose their ability to act, it would greatly affect the speed of spirit stone collection and the growth of the tribes, which was not something Bai Xuan wanted to see.

In this way, Bai Xuan saved as many fierce beasts as possible. Regardless, the Aura Tide had just begun, and Bai Xuan also needed to find the place with the most spirit stones, so he couldn’t waste time.

After a while, the aura burst out from the ground, surging into the sky. Countless spirit stones spewed out from huge cracks, the quantity more than a hundred times that of the previous time. This was simply a feast, and the fierce beasts were frantically collecting the spirit stones.

Conflicts were naturally present, but it was much better than the last time. After all, Bai Xuan had delineated territories, so the powerful tribes would not engage in large-scale conflicts, while the other fierce beasts were just engaging in petty squabbles, which was of no consequence.

Bai Xuan returned to the central area, which was his dwelling place. A hundred-meter-long crack appeared at the foot of the mountain, and spirit stones were constantly emerging; dozens of high-grade spirit stones flew out all at once.

Bai Xuan stood on the side waiting quietly, not in a hurry to collect the spirit stones. It was a matter of absorbing them all in one go, so there was no need to rush. At the same time, without Bai Xuan’s permission, no fierce beasts or humans dared to enter this area, let alone come to compete with Bai Xuan for the spirit stones.

This was also the largest Aura Tide in the Far East region. As the aura continued to surge into the sky, the originally bright sky became dark and overcast with thick clouds. Before long, spiritual rain would fall, and at that time, the level and strength of the fierce beasts would rise to the next level.

”This Aura Tide is more than a hundred times stronger than the last one.” Bai Xuan could feel the enormity of the Aura Tide. This also indicated that the number of fierce beasts and martial artists would rapidly climb; Tier 4s would run rampant, Tier 5s would reign as kings, Tier 6s would be born, and even Tier 7 fierce beasts were not impossible.

After some time passed, the spiritual rain fell. The originally cold weather became much warmer, and all things grew and developed frantically, with levels rising rapidly.

Some fierce beasts with exceptional talent and strong physiques even rose two major levels in a row.

Bai Xuan’s own level barrier also began to vibrate, looking as if it might break through the level shackles at any moment: ”I wonder what the Aura Tides in other places will produce? I’ll go take a look after the Far East stabilizes.”

This Aura Tide not only had spirit stones but also ores, and even some strange-looking natural treasures, which surprised Bai Xuan.

He felt incredibly curious about why the aura was recovering, but now was not the time to think about that. Once he had sufficient strength, he would naturally be able to learn the truth; thinking about it now wouldn’t yield any answers.

At the same time, what interested Bai Xuan the most was the situation in the African Savanna. There were many fierce beast species there, and coupled with the lack of control by powerful nations, they could grow unscrupulously. Their strength must be very powerful, perhaps even stronger than the lions in the Far East. This was just Bai Xuan’s speculation, though; to find out the truth, he would have to go and see for himself.

Just at this moment, a palm-sized, colorful spirit stone flew out of the crack, sailing toward the distance like a projectile, leaving a perfect arc in the air.

Seeing this, Bai Xuan flapped his wings and chased after it. A moment later, he caught the spirit stone, shrank his body size to one meter in length, and used Eye of Appraisal to check the stone’s attributes: [Superior Spirit Stone, consuming it grants 100,000 evolution points.]

One piece was worth 100,000, and it also contained terrifying energy. Absorbing it was very helpful for his bloodline foundation, and most importantly, it increased his cultivation.

Or rather, possessing such a spirit stone was enough for a Tier 3 fierce beast to absorb until it reached the late stage of Tier 4, or even the peak. Two pieces would give it a chance to advance to Tier 5.

Its preciousness could be imagined. Bai Xuan swallowed the spirit stone into his stomach to store it, then sucked all the other scattered spirit stones into his stomach in one go, finally arriving at the crack to check the situation.

Beneath the crack, it was pitch black, and one could not see their own fingers. His Divine Sense Perception could not sense the pitch-black situation at the very bottom of the crack. Bai Xuan did not dare to act rashly and did not enter the very bottom, but instead sucked all the spirit stones around the crack into his stomach to store them.

Just as Bai Xuan was curiously checking the situation of the crack, suddenly, a ten-zhang-long flame slash flew out from the crack and attacked toward him.

Bai Xuan agilely dodged it, then put some distance between himself and the crack, his eyes instantly becoming vigilant: ”What thing is that?”

Bai Xuan was a bit confused as to what exactly had ambushed him.

Immediately following this, Bai Xuan’s Divine Sense Perception sensed a terrifying aura emanating from the bottom of the crack. In an instant, Bai Xuan entered combat mode.

This aura was clearly at the Tier 5 level, and it was even possible that it was late-stage Tier 5!

”Who is it? Come out, don’t hide!” Bai Xuan said coldly.

After speaking, figures shot out from the crack. They were numerous—countless, dense, and emerging from the crack endlessly.

The leader was a creature resembling a mantis. Its forelimbs were like sickles, one red and one purple. Its body was covered with dense spikes, and it was cyan in color. Eight long, hard legs supported its body, which was five meters long.

Its head was even more terrifying, with huge, bright red eyes. Its mouth was filled with fangs, and it had a long tongue. The tongue resembled a tentacle, yet also looked like a bug covered in barbs, appearing extremely disgusting and horrifying.

”What the hell kind of thing is this? It’s so damn ugly,” Bai Xuan couldn’t help but complain.

”Hehehe, finally entered,” the leading strange mantis let out a weird cackle.

The insect-like creatures behind it were all bizarre in shape—some resembling centipedes, earthworms, or mosquitoes. They all looked very strange and disgusting. They stared at Bai Xuan with predatory eyes, looking as if they wanted to eat him alive.
