Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

130: Chapter 130: Recuperation and Rebirth, Returning to Homeland.Five days later.

During this time, Hu Zi, Xiao Hei, Xiong Yan, and Xue Yu had all woken up. They were resting and recuperating, and could finally relax for a while.

At the same time, Bai Xuan reached an agreement with the Dragon Kingdom. He provided a large amount of Spirit Stones as compensation for their support and opened up the Daxing Forest for the Fierce Beasts to live in, establishing the prerequisite for peaceful coexistence.

The forest was also the home of the Fierce Beasts. The Blue Planet didn’t just belong to humans; it belonged to all living creatures. Therefore, the Dragon Kingdom found it easy to accept.

Bai Xuan handed over the management of the forest to Hu Da and Mother Tiger. Returning to their former homeland and seeing it restored to its original state, they felt a mix of emotions but did not oppose Bai Xuan’s actions. Bai Xuan surely had his reasons for doing so.

With such a vast living environment, they were satisfied. The Fierce Beasts were also exhausted and needed to rest and recuperate; there was no need to continue the war.

As for the Spiritual Beasts sent over previously, except for Da Huang and the Shadow Cat, the rest were placed under the care of Xiao Hei and the Forest Rangers to avoid unnecessary conflict.

Everything seemed to be improving, at least in the Far East Region for the Fierce Beasts and the Dragon Kingdom. Other regions were still at war, fighting against Fierce Beasts, the Zerg, or even Marine Fierce Beasts.

Because Bai Xuan was presiding over the Far East Region, those Fierce Beasts, humans, and the Zerg didn’t dare take a single step near the area. Even hearing Bai Xuan’s name would strike terror into their hearts.

At the same time, Bai Xuan’s level had also increased, reaching Tier 6 Stage 2.

”Da Huang, are you adjusting well to staying here?”

Bai Xuan arrived at the Savage Bear Clan. Da Huang and the Shadow Cat were temporarily staying with the Savage Bear Clan. However, because it was too cold here, they initially suffered from a lack of acclimatization and couldn’t adapt, but they gradually got used to it.

”Brother Bai, you’re here.” Da Huang trotted toward Bai Xuan, wagging his tail and shouting excitedly.

He then answered Bai Xuan’s previous question: ”I’ve completely adapted. Big Brother Xiong Yan is very good to me, so don’t worry about me, Brother Bai.”

The Shadow Cat jumped down from a large rock and approached Bai Xuan, rubbing its head against his foot to show goodwill. It had initially come here with an uneasy heart, but after adapting for a while, it found that Bai Xuan and the other Fierce Beasts weren’t that difficult to get along with. Neither Bai Xuan nor Xiong Yan put on any airs.

Xiong Yan took even better care of it, claiming it was because of his previous promise not to let them be bullied. In reality, this was also due to Bai Xuan’s instructions; otherwise, Xiong Yan wouldn’t have bothered with them.

Although the Fierce Beasts were somewhat united now, it was only a temporary unity among the strong. Essentially, it was still survival of the fittest. Otherwise, what would they eat, and how would they develop the overall strength of their clans?

”Hei Zi, you’re quite clingy.” Bai Xuan gently rubbed the Shadow Cat’s head with his wing. The Shadow Cat used to be a stray before being recruited by humans for a decent job with no worries about food or shelter—becoming a Spiritual Beast to serve humanity.

The treatment was excellent, and the humans were quite good to it. It was much better than being a stray cat and not having to worry about going hungry. Hei Zi cherished this job and had contributed a lot during the war between the Dragon Kingdom and the Zerg.

”This fellow used to be so cold and aloof. How did it end up like this? It’s truly bizarre.” Da Huang curled his lip. Previously, the Shadow Cat had been indifferent to him, a cold and aloof kitty.

It was the same toward humans. Or rather, in the Shadow Cat’s eyes, humans were its partners, and those who fed it and cleaned up after it were just poop scoopers. Naturally, it didn’t hold them in high regard.

Facing powerhouses, it naturally wouldn’t put on a high-and-mighty act but would treat them as equals. However, Bai Xuan’s strength was so overwhelming that it instinctively wanted to submit, and its attitude naturally became like this, fawning over and trying to please Bai Xuan.

”Is it any of your business?” Hei Zi rolled its eyes at Da Huang. Even though Da Huang’s level was now higher than its own, it still didn’t give him any face.

Perhaps it felt that Da Huang was easy to talk to.

”I’m making it my business, what can you do about it?” Da Huang said with a punchable expression. To dare compete for favor in front of him was simply overestimating its own capabilities.

He had acknowledged his master long ago; how could he lose to a little kitten like this?

”Shut up, got it?” Hei Zi replied.

”I won’t shut up, what can you do about it?”

Da Huang refused to be outdone, sticking out his tongue and mocking Hei Zi.

”Such a dog.”

”I am a real dog, after all. Could I be a fake dog? You’re such a funny cat.” Da Huang didn’t think this was an insult. He was a dog, so he admitted it openly.

”No wonder you’re so dog-like.” Hei Zi looked disgusted. He was truly so dog-like that even a cat would find him annoying.

”So what? What can you do about it?” Relying on the fact that his level was higher than Hei Zi’s, Da Huang continued to provoke it.

”Seeing how harmoniously you two are getting along, I’m relieved. I have things to attend to, so you two continue chatting. I’ll take my leave first.” Bai Xuan watched Da Huang and Hei Zi argue incessantly, gave a wry smile, said his goodbyes, and left.

”Hey, Brother Bai, where are you going? Take me with you!” Da Huang shouted.

”We’ll talk about it next time.”

Bai Xuan gave a perfunctory refusal and then flapped his wings and left.

”I can’t be bothered to keep arguing with you.”

Hei Zi stopped arguing with Da Huang, jumped back onto the large rock, and lay down, lazily closing its eyes to soak up the sun.

The weather was quite nice today, perfect for coming out to sunbathe.

”It’s all your fault, you Green Tea Cat,” Da Huang said.

But Hei Zi didn’t answer him, leisurely sunbathing.

It didn’t quite understand the relationship between Bai Xuan and Da Huang, thinking they might have known each other before, but it wouldn’t say much. It would just act as if it had seen nothing. If Bai Xuan didn’t say anything, it certainly wouldn’t ask. Insisting on getting to the bottom of things would only be counterproductive. It was quite self-aware and knew its place.

But that didn’t mean it would go and curry favor with Da Huang. This stupid dog wasn’t worthy of its flattery.

Seeing that Hei Zi was ignoring him, Da Huang didn’t bother boring himself further. He turned and left, preparing to look for food or wander around. He was curious about everything here and also wanted to spar with Fierce Beasts of the Savage Bear Clan at the same level.

To improve his own strength.

...

Afterward, Bai Xuan found Xiong Yan and checked his injuries. He had recovered quite well by now. His arm had grown back halfway, and his aura was significantly stronger than before, all thanks to the essence blood of the beast emperor. It was truly a great supplement.

”After another month or two of rest, you should be back to normal,” Bai Xuan concluded after checking Xiong Yan’s injuries.

”I also have to thank the Eagle Emperor for the treatment. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to recover so quickly.” Xiong Yan gave a silly smile and scratched the back of his head with his paw.

”We’re all family. It’s only right to help each other.”

Bai Xuan smiled and, after chatting for a bit, got straight to the point and began giving instructions:

”Next, I need to head out for a while. You all take care of the clan’s affairs. If you encounter anything you can’t resolve, use the feather to send me a message.”

Bai Xuan planned to visit the African Savanna and other places to scavenge for resources and increase his own strength and level.

”Alright, I understand.” Xiong Yan nodded slightly.

This trip would last anywhere from one or two months to four or five months.

Bai Xuan wasn’t too worried about the Far East Region. After all, humans, the Zerg, and Fierce Beasts didn’t dare approach, and the same went for marine creatures. However, internal strife was still possible.

Bai Xuan didn’t want to see that happen. Therefore, he would have Xiong Yan and the others manage the Fierce Beasts as well as possible, at least to prevent the fighting from becoming too tragic. It was inevitable for Fierce Beast clans to have conflicts, and fighting was only natural.
