Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

123: Chapter 123 Bai Xuan successfully advances to the next level, shocking Tian Gong. The ferocious beasts were at a loss, remaining in place, motionless, while some were so frightened that they turned and ran.

But with their speed, how could they possibly escape the grasp of the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor?

The next moment, those fleeing ferocious beasts all died under the ice spikes, riddled with holes like a hornet’s nest.

This made them even more desperate. Is this the strength of a Tier 6 Beast Emperor? It’s simply too terrifying.

”Forget it, just a bunch of ants; I have no interest in continuing to play with you.” Having said that, the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor directly finished off the ferocious beasts that were foolishly stunned in place.

Xue Yu was on the verge of death; its vision gradually blurred, its eyelids felt as heavy as a thousand catties, and finally, it closed its eyes in unwillingness and fell into a coma.

”This guy is quite interesting; refining it into a puppet for my own use wouldn’t be bad at all.”

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor cackled. The Insect Race had parasitic beasts, so refining puppets was a piece of cake for it. Suddenly, the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor had an evil thought.

It was to refine Xue Yu into a puppet, keeping its soul intact, and making it kill its own kind with its own hands; just thinking about it was amusing.

Let’s see how long its arrogance can hold up, and how long it can persist before begging for mercy.

Just as the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor was preparing to take Xue Yu and leave, then go to slaughter the sea defense line to let the Insect Race completely invade...

A massive aura behind it shot straight into the clouds; it was precisely the aura of Bai Xuan. It had not died; that was just a performance to deceive the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor. Now, it had completely succeeded in advancing.

Its bloodline had also undergone a transformation; its body had grown much larger, and its appearance was vastly different from before.

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor turned its head in shock, and what came into view was a giant eagle with a massive physique, a wingspan of over a thousand meters, and a body length of four hundred meters—it was simply a behemoth!

”You actually haven’t died!”

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor could not have imagined that Bai Xuan was not dead, and had even advanced to Tier 6; it felt incredibly unbelievable.

It had clearly died from the poison, with not a trace of aura left, and its body had been smashed to pieces by it—how could it still be alive!

Could that corpse before have been a diversionary tactic?!

That’s impossible; Blue Star creatures cannot possess such unfathomable spiritual skills!

”You are too overconfident.”

Bai Xuan replied coldly. Taking advantage of the time it was in seclusion to slaughter so many ferocious beasts, Bai Xuan’s killing intent toward the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor had reached its peak.

Now, not only had Bai Xuan’s size increased, but its appearance had also changed: ice crystal armor covered its chest, an extra pair of wings had grown, making it a four-winged giant eagle, and three slender feathers had grown on its tail, featuring ice crystal patterns that shimmered brilliantly.

”Don’t think that just because you’ve advanced to Tier 6 you can defeat me; don’t forget that our Insect Race’s development is much faster than yours!”

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor did not think that Bai Xuan advancing to Tier 6 meant it could defeat it. It possessed Insect Race secret arts and various trump cards; how could it fear a small, indigenous Blue Star ferocious beast?

”Blind arrogance.” Bai Xuan used only these four words to respond to the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor’s words, which made the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor angry from embarrassment. It attacked first, its huge tail lashing out like a whip toward Bai Xuan:

”Go to hell.”

The great battle was on the verge of breaking out.

Bai Xuan retaliated with its Eagle Claw. The two terrifying attacks collided, the shockwaves reverberating, snow flying everywhere. As both were ice-elemental beings, it intensified the cold in the Far East Region.

The unconscious Xue Yu was blown away.

Just like that, Bai Xuan and the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor began to fight, from the ground to the high sky. The entire Far East Region became incomparably cold. High above, two figures continuously collided, emitting deafening roars that attracted all the ferocious beasts.

Mother Tiger brought the ferocious beasts to provide support. Arriving at the central area, she looked at the situation in the sky: ”Little Bai has advanced to Tier 6.”

Bai Xuan not only didn’t die, but had even advanced to Tier 6.

It had the strength to battle the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor. In this way, their ferocious beasts would inevitably rise to become the most powerful force on Blue Star.

How could they not be excited about this: ”Tiger King, we found a ferocious beast, and its strength seems quite decent.”

The Tiger King was none other than Mother Tiger. At this time, she was already a powerful clan Tiger King and had long since advanced to Tier 5, making her worthy of the title Tiger King.

”Is it that little one from the northern region?” Mother Tiger looked Xue Yu up and down and concluded that it was truly miserable; the wings that a Flight ferocious beast took pride in were gone.

”This little one must have suffered quite a bit.” Mother Tiger sighed, but it was good that it was alive. Even without wings, with this little one’s strength, it was enough to walk sideways in the northern region.

”Treat its injuries; you must save its life.” Mother Tiger said to the healing-type ferocious beast. This was a ferocious beast that had evolved from a sika deer, possessed wood-attribute, and had healing abilities.

”Yes, Tiger King.” The Sika Deer stepped forward and began to treat Xue Yu’s injuries. Its whole body was covered in scars, bones were broken and shattered—it was simply unbearable to look at.

Right now, it was just hanging on by a thread, barely surviving. Having luckily survived, it would be very difficult to recover to its peak state in the future.

A moment later, the Sika Deer stopped the bleeding, and Xue Yu barely managed to save its life. The Sika Deer walked behind Mother Tiger:

”Tiger King, it is too severely injured. I can only temporarily save its life for now; it is at risk of death at any time. If you want to save it...”

”Why did you stop halfway? Speak boldly, don’t be afraid.” Mother Tiger said upon hearing the Sika Deer go quiet, looking hesitant and wanting to say something but stopping.

”This... it needs human help to be saved, so what should we do next?”

The Sika Deer’s healing arts were barely introductory, and Xue Yu’s injuries were no ordinary wounds, but injuries inflicted by a Tier 6 Beast Emperor, so it was normal that it was helpless. Even with the addition of rare treasures, the Sika Deer alone could not save Xue Yu.

After all, the injuries were too severe. If a treatment method wasn’t found soon, Xue Yu probably wouldn’t last three days.

Humans possessed exquisite medical skills and could refine medicinal pills, which were more suitable for such severely injured ferocious beasts to consume. Consuming them directly now, its current body couldn’t withstand it, and it would ultimately only explode and die on the spot.

”Send it over. Surely Little Bai wouldn’t want to see it die. Furthermore, we can consider it as helping the humans; it is only natural for them to repay us.”

After a moment of silence, Mother Tiger sighed helplessly. She had to admit that in some areas, ferocious beasts were far inferior to humans. However, it was also true that ferocious beasts had only been developing for a short time; they had caught up in physique and strength, but not in other matters.

”Yes.” The Sika Deer nodded gently, then let the ferocious beasts take Xue Yu toward the human city wall, asking them to help treat Xue Yu to save its life as much as possible, leaving other matters for later.

”But... humans cannot be trusted.” A ferocious beast raised an objection.

”It’s about to die, and you’re still in the mood to say these things? At the very least, treating a dead horse like a living one is better; there’s at least a glimmer of hope.”

The Sika Deer was instantly unhappy, as if it really wanted human help. But times were different; saving a life was important. Furthermore, the ferocious beasts had gone to support the humans, so the humans should treat Xue Yu; it wasn’t something shameful.

”But...”

”There are no ’buts’. Hurry up and go. If there’s a problem, I’ll take responsibility, is that okay?” With just one look, Mother Tiger made the objecting ferocious beast shut up completely.

After all, Xue Yu was a ferocious beast from the northern region and was of great help to Bai Xuan. It couldn’t watch it die, so it would bear all the responsibility now; if anything happened, they could just blame it.

”Go quickly, don’t delay the rescue time.” Mother Tiger urged the Sika Deer and those ferocious beasts, telling them to hurry and take Xue Yu for treatment.

...

[Ice Emperor Sword Feather.]

Only an eagle’s cry was heard, resounding through the sky.

Densely packed ice crystal sword feathers converged into a giant sword a thousand feet long, emitting the power of millennial cold ice, indestructible.

Bai Xuan grasped the giant ice sword with its Eagle Claw and slashed down heavily toward the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor, emitting crisp sword ringing sounds, which also sounded like an eagle’s cry.

Watching the giant ice sword attacking, the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor felt a deep threat to its life. It dared not lower its guard or underestimate Bai Xuan. Its tail was covered in ice crystals, hardening until it was as solid as a rock.

Flicking its tail, it met the attack head-on. The two terrifying ice attacks collided, emitting a crisp metallic clashing sound, causing the void to tremble:

”Kid, I see your strength is not bad. Do you want to unite Blue Star with me, become an overlord, and enjoy endless glory and wealth? Similarly, the ferocious beasts can live in peace with the Insect Race, each controlling half the territory.”

”Are you afraid?” Bai Xuan laughed mockingly. It had killed so many of its subordinates, and now it knew fear and wanted to seek peace? It was already too late.

Furthermore, a Tier 6 Beast Emperor was a great nutritional supplement; how could Bai Xuan let the duck that was already in its mouth fly away?

”Ridiculous, how could I be afraid? I just don’t want to end up with both sides suffering and let others take advantage. If you don’t want to live in peace, then let’s fight to the death.”

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor was clearly afraid in its heart, but it would never admit it. Instead, it persuaded Bai Xuan in another way to reach a temporary peaceful situation, thinking it wouldn’t be too late to deal with Bai Xuan during the next Insect Race invasion.

”That’s exactly my intention.” Bai Xuan began to Call upon Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy, draining the spiritual energy within a hundred miles, gathering it in its throat, and spraying the Extreme Cold Breath toward the face of the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor.

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor did the same, using its breath to counterattack:

”Since you refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit, don’t blame me for being merciless!”

Immediately after, the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor unleashed an Insect Race secret technique. Its blood and energy boiled, demonic energy flowed through its meridians, its momentum surged, and its strength rose by several tiers:

[Secret Technique: Blood Demon Rage]

This caused huge harm to itself. Under normal circumstances, the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor would never use this move, but now, facing an opponent like Bai Xuan who could threaten its life, it had to damage its body’s longevity to use the secret technique, trying to kill Bai Xuan in the shortest possible time.

The terrifying Blood Fiend power shattered the extreme ice into ice blocks, smashing them to the ground, and simultaneously forced back Bai Xuan’s Extreme Cold Breath.

Seeing this scene, Bai Xuan also unleashed its strength-enhancing skills [Extreme Cold Domain] [Ice Emperor Rage].

The terrifying cold air seemed capable of freezing space, continuously colliding with the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor’s Blood Fiend power, neither willing to yield to the other.

”How do you also have a secret technique to increase strength?!”

The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor’s pupils shook, incomparably shocked.

The surprises and shocks Bai Xuan had given it were simply too many.

It made it unable to believe that the Bai Xuan in front of it was a Blue Star creature.

”What? You are allowed to have one, but I can’t?” Bai Xuan sneered. If it didn’t have some ability, how would Bai Xuan dare to go head-to-head with the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor?

”Are you really still a Blue Star creature!” The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor couldn’t help but complain. It was too outrageous; how long had Blue Star’s spiritual energy been recovering, and how could such a terrifying creature appear?

”Stop the nonsense, let’s fight to the death.” Bai Xuan stopped wasting words with the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor and launched a fierce attack, with every move being fatal.

Although Bai Xuan had just advanced to Tier 6 not long ago and its level was not yet stable, and it had to fight a battle-hardened Tier 6 Beast Emperor with numerous trump cards, Bai Xuan was not afraid in the slightest.

It also didn’t fall into a disadvantage; it had many of its own trump card spiritual skills.

Even if it couldn’t win, the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor wouldn’t be able to kill it.

”As you wish!” The Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor began to exert its strength, unleashing its trump cards one by one, intending to fight Bai Xuan to the death. Today, either you die or I live!

The terrifying battle lasted for two and a half hours, leaving the central area unrecognizable and unbearable to look at. No living creature dared to approach the battlefield where Bai Xuan and the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor were fighting.

”You must win.” The Rat King had also come to support, looking at the scene before it, and muttered to itself.

”It will definitely win.” Mother Tiger believed that Bai Xuan could defeat the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor, or at the very least, fight to a draw; the Far East Region would never be controlled by the Insect Race.

The Rat King nodded gently. Now, they could only choose to believe in Bai Xuan:

”I have to say, the battle between Tier 6s is truly terrifying; it’s simply not something we can participate in.”

They had originally thought that after advancing to Tier 5, they could at least contend with the Heavenly Centipede Beast Emperor in terms of numbers, but seeing it today, the power of Tier 6 far exceeded their imagination.

It really is true; a higher level crushes people.

Mother Tiger’s eyes revealed worry. She was worried about her two sons, and she didn’t know how they were doing now:

”I wonder how things are on the Dragon Kingdom defense line.”

”Don’t worry, Huzi and Hu Da are very capable, they won’t fall so easily. If it’s really not working, you go take a look; leave this place to us.” The Rat King was very good at comforting people, and at the same time, it had long since built a good relationship with Huzi and Hu Da.

They were all neighbors, so they had to get along well.

Furthermore, Huzi and the others were the favorites around Bai Xuan, the first batch of ferocious beasts to follow it. The Rat King was very perceptive and was very hospitable to Huzi and the others; rare treasures, spiritual fruits, and so on—whenever there was something good, it would take it out to entertain them.

Before, when Xiong Yan went to the Rat King’s territory, he had personally experienced the Rat King’s hospitality.

”But...” Mother Tiger was hesitant.

”Actually, to say something unpleasant, whether we are there or not is the same; we can’t help much, so just go ahead and rest assured.” The Rat King smiled bitterly.
