ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

Okay, so for the time being, let us summarize the event that managed to transpire thus far.

Yeah, so first of all, I down in one go on the glass that Survival managed ot slide all the way to me across the counter while giving me a huge thumbs up. released the glass to Survival Al who slid the glass with sake over here with the whole thumbs up.

「Hey Wimp, if you guys were going to have an early end-of-the-year party, then you should have said so in the first place.」

「I don’t even know what that is! And we are not having any of that!」

「Okay, alright, I get it. Now turn around and get a move on, okay?」

Ooohh, that’s our Sammy-chan-san for you. By distracting everyone from Wimp through the means of intimidating behavior, should I also emulate that exact behavior in order to achieve what I am looking for? That’s some serious craftsmanship, being able to imitate something like that…… And now then.

「Hey, you Macho right there, shouldn’t it be common sense that if you want to order something you need to sit down first?」

「Huh? Ah, aahh, umm…… Yes, that’s right. I would like some whiskey on rocks……」

「I am terribly sorry, Sir, but I’m afraid that whiskey on rocks is currently out of stock…… But how about some delicious Kahlua Arugar Goat Milk? Without any trace of liquor, of course.」

「Huh? Ahh, umm, yes, yeah! L-Let’s go with that one!」

Arugar Goat is probably some monster’s name, but if you were to just remove that part of the product’s name, you would be left with Kahlua milk, right? And since it’s something that is supposed to be liquor-free, so what would it be? A coffee milk, perhaps? Or maybe something else entirely?

Here we have a macho man…… or –chan? But whoever they might be, they are obviously way younger than any other person who you would typically witness coming into a place like this one. And right now he sat down together with his Goldunine, who seemed to be in a foul mood for some reason. But for the time being I guess that there would be no fighting, which was actually a good thing.

「Kahlua…… Kahlua…… Somehow, I get a feeling that it is some kind of a really special drink……!」

It’s called a Coffee milk. Coffee milk, my dear Macho Man and Young Lady.

Also, the Player who was trying just now to slide the whole bottle of whiskey with him and make a run for it got caught up by Survivor and then gently taken to the store’s back room. I guess that some people in here are way crazier about keeping things real than other guys…… Oh, and there we have it: the sound of a heavy blow landing clearly onto someone.

「Ugh…… Uuhh……」

「…… Fuhn.」

I was clear to see that this whole Nine person was excited to see Wimp and Sammy-chan-san, even though she herself looked just like Wimp, which is to say —– like a complete and utter small fry. And even though at first glance she and Wimp might have looked about the same, upon closer inspection you would be able to start seeing some slight differences between the two. Could that be what they call a sign of individuality?

They seem to be just the type that can’t really handle stress very well and would end up vomiting all over the place if subjected to enough pressure…… And what’s more, we are not talking about stress born from some external stimulus, but rather the kind of stress that originated as one’s heavy mental load.

If you wanted an easy example to demonstrate it in a much simpler terms, it would be like the difference between people who hate horror games because they hate being surprised and jumpscared all the time, and the people who hate horror games because they do find the very concept of traversing dark and scary places with little to no light or means of defending themselves all on their own extremely off-putting. You see, both types can actually hold on their own for a while out there, but the difference here is that the latter type can even die on the spot if the stimulus turns out to be too extreme.

But I guess I need to leave those kinds of analogies for the time being, and try some other form of approach. Because for those kinds of characters have a nasty tendency that when you talk to them, even the slightest trigger can cause them to basically run out of control for no apparent reason.

It’s like that thing that Pencilgton always used to say: “It’s dangerous if someone talks to you when you’re putting up with some serious bladder limitations, but if you are just talking to yourself, it’s a good chance that you will endure it and have a good time all the same.” kind of reasoning. And the fact that the one who came up with a thought like that was also someone highly mentally unstable and prone to blowing herself (and forcing others to blow) up, it was even more ironic than it would normally be.

Now the only problem is this pair which looks about ready to start throwing hands with whoever happened to be foolish enough to pick up a fight. But I have survived for about two months straight on that Uninhabited Island, I’ll let you know! This Goldunine might be wearing basically rags all over her body, but I can sense it clearly! Those eyes of hers, they are looking down on me! …… But I am not all that great with people of this kind, I guess that my proverbial bladder is soon about to hit its limit! No, I get a feeling that it doesn’t really matter what the reason here might actually be! For those guys, even the most trivial of reasons would be good enough to start a fight for real!

「…… Fuh.」

But just who the hell do you think I am, huh? I am a veteran shitty games player! I have already beaten more than one hundred of those, and if you think that I am someone who is unknown to Battle Rush mode, then you have an entirely different thing coming! Not to mention that I have experience with rushing various sorts of events without preparing for them in advance, so I can easily make due with whatever it is that I have on hand at the current moment! How about that, this adaptability!?

「Hey, Master? Could you give me the same thing as you gave that Macho Man right there?」

「Certainly, sir. Right away.」

「Oi, oi, what do you think this is, a restaurant in here? Then you should have kept your weapons and your murderous intentions hidden firmly in your pocket!」

Alright, it’s decided, then……

「Wait! Wait just a minute here, please! At the very least let me just stay in here!」
