ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

The map of the Giant’s Treasury that I managed to copy a while back has already mapped our destination for us, so we knew exactly where we were supposed to go. What’s more, from the perspective of being able to pass efficiently through the previously unknown turf we had that covered in the person of the NPC Ladder-san, who turned out to be a great guide since her birthplace was the swamp area. Because of that the route we were supposed to take was from the southwestern part of the Sea of Trees area, and then through the swamp towards the giant volcano that we could see in the distance.

According to this map of mine, most of the New Continent is covered with trees on the east side, but the environment diversifies at one point from the middle of the continent or so. If you cross a large river beyond the swamp, you will reach the volcano area, and past that there are even some more biomes for you to explore.

That’s why we are currently advancing through the Sea of Trees, which has blocked many Players from going anywhere else beside the frontline base area so far, but…… Please remember the breakdown of the party that we currently have here.

「Well, this is bad…… The only way in which I can accelerate further is while bending at just the right angle. And that’s only if I really put my mind and body to it.」

We have me, the holder of the Maximum Speed title.

「It’s an additional monster…!! I can handle this one on my own, so please just leave it to me and proceed forward……!」

Then we have Rei-san, the holder of the Maximum Firepower title.

「The front line is a place that is way too dependable and I have nothing to do there for the time being. I can do repairs other than the Rebirth Equipment, so fight to your heart’s content and don’t worry about anything else.」

「I’m also ready to do my job whenever you need me to! So you can even die just a little bit if it doesn’t bother you all that much. I shall revive you either way!」

We then have two owners of the Heroic Weapons.

Then we have Ladder-san, and although she is also a fairly strong NPC, but unlike Emul, she does not exceed the level one hundred, and is not even close to reaching it anytime soon. That means, she has the option of waiting at the back line if need be, but even if we were to subtract her from the equation, the members of our group are just too luxurious. This is practically an overkill as far as team-building is concerned.

At the current moment the durability of our weapons and armor is no longer any problem, but when it comes to the firepower correction, that is something that we cannot possibly ignore and leave as it is. But sure enough, being able to use your strongest weapon without having to worry about it breaking to pieces is a huge load off our shoulders. And it gives us a whole lot of options to choose from. That is why I have decided to employ the help of Aradval Rebuild in here.

In the first place, the vast majority of the monsters that appear in the Sea of Trees area are now monsters that have become dragons due to being infected by something called the Color Dragon Virus. And do you know what that means? Yes, that’s correct. Since Aradval Rebuild is a weapon that possesses the heat strong enough to go toe to toe with any Colored Dragon out there, this means that right about now it is probably the strongest weapon in my arsenal. Or at the very least, strongest for that particular area. So it can be said that the Sea of Trees has nothing on me!

A combination of beast and a dragon lets out a mighty roar as it plunges itself right at me…… This dragon—beast is called Thoroughbred Triceratops, and it has recently became a staple of the Sea of Trees area alongside my dear Big Bro Tri-Headed Tyranno and those nasty Raptors. This is the beast that I am currently throwing hands with. And it comes right at me with a pretty much irregular step. But unfortunately for it, the black blade in my hands is already burning with a bright red flame, and when our path inevitable cross, it digs straight into the Triceratop’s side as if it was hot butter. Because no matter how hard that hide of yours may be, my flames are hotter than anything!

The horns of the beast that have already been melted and carved many times are fatally damaged, one final straw. And then the horns fly in the air as the beast lets out a mighty with a scream. Yes, that’s the reaction I was looking forward to.

「Now then……」

I am currently at level one hundred fifty, the highest level previously unattained by anyone else. Even Rei-san is yet to reach that level. But even though my avatar should be at the pinnacle of its strength because of that new level cap, why do I get a feeling that…… Yes, something seems to be lacking. Or else, for some reason my current performance is really shitty……

On that day, what happened was that the Mysterious “Arcana” of the “Fool” had been reversed by the mysterious NPC “Awakening Guru Arkanum” right after I happened to exit the arena where the battle with the Orchestra took place. Now, wheatear it was an actual person, or a ghost, or some sort of apparition or anything else like that…… The action that he performed had lasting effects on my avatar. It resulted in the power of the Arcana of “Fool” to transform into something else entirely. Or to speak in more concrete and direct terms, it caused its power to become reversed.

The opposite of its rightful position, the Reverse Arcana. As for its effect, that is…… It effectively doubled my Recast Times, doubled the amount of healing that I need in order to heal my wounds, and cut the amount of Slip Damage that I can dish out effectively in half.

Hmm, I see. I get it. At first glance, you might think that it has been nothing but strengthening effect. The recovery items that were used while being frightened by the shadow of the shitty Random Numbers have returned to successful confirmation where they rightfully belonged, and the effect size has doubled, so the benefit seems to be greater than ever. Considering the nature of Damage Over Time , the Slip Damage is halved, and even if the conditions become abnormal, the survival time is doubled by simple calculation. Yeah, it’s simple enough.

However, the fact that the Recast Time has been doubled, this is no good. No good at all. Even if the above-mentioned merits are added, it is too fatal for a player named me. It would basically doom my entire character the way I am now.

「…… What the hell? What the hell is this!?」

My current status is as follows:
