ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

And, therefore, Goldunine looked up and could feel her whole body stiffening up in the expression of genuine “surprise”.

「What the hell…… is this?」

「This……? This is the truth……」

One word. It was only one word, but it was more than enough to cause Goldunine’s emotions to explode.

Joy, anger, sadness, hatred…… The feeling of being “frightened” was then imposed on Gratos, and there was not even a trace of “happiness” left as the negative emotions started to flood in. It was then that Goldunine grabbed Weissash by the chest.

「T-This thing……!! Are you telling me that this…… this THING…… This is the truth!? My…… The answer that WE have been looking for all this time…… this…… something like this……!!!」

「Then how about you just stop right there?」

What was first the tears of sorrow was now replaced with the feeling of genuine anger, and even though the cloudy hatred was starting to fill up her mind, she was not going to get lost in it, because she needed to remember what was the exact reason for why she was angry in the first place.

It was then that the hand that was holding Weissash by his chest gradually starting to lose the power in its grip, and the dragon-snake then slumped down onto the ground.

「I see, so that’s it, huh……? It’s that kind of thing? So if that really is the case here, then I know what it is that I must do.」

「…………」

「I will make you regret it…… I will make you regret forcing me to come out of my seclusion only to find THIS……」

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Once the giant snake made its leave from that place, Weissash looked up and muttered to himself.

「I guess that I can no longer stop it anymore, huh……?」

White.

As the entirety of this dark place started to become brighter, the whole picture was gradually revealed.

White. It was a giant body reminiscent of a white, blindingly white bipedal sea turtle.

The giant dragon-snake Gratos was already considerable in size, but even it had to gaze up to be able to fully grasp the size of this being. Compared to this thing, Gratos was just like earthworms seem to human beings.

This thing was actually so huge that the word “huge” did not even felt like the right word to describe it.

It was the size of a mountain, but not the kind where you could go on a stroll on a warm afternoon. It was the image of a destroyed mountain, one where nothing would ever take root or prosper. And its pure white majesty was currently projecting that simple truth without fail or needless exaggeration.

It was a terminal that holds up the soul, or perhaps consciousness of the White God, or a being that could be said to be an alter ego of the White God.

─── Its name was Slumbering White God “Hakutaishin”.

It was the strongest and the largest of primordial beings that once appeared on this earth as the iron mallet that would spell the doom of the Era of the Gods and its civilization…… It is also the strongest Raid Monster that can be called the mini-sized White God Aiteru that harbors all of the hatred of the sleeping White God.

「…… Say, Master? Is that dream really your “dream”? Are you sure of that?」

Looking up at the visage of the Slumbering White God, Weissash makes a soft noise that no one but himself would be able to hear. Beyond his line of sight, there was a small spot that was difficult to find out, even if you were to squint your eyes really hard. Right on top of the head of the Slumbering White God, which was several thousand meters high, right on the top of the forehead of the horribly flat head.

「Or could it be that it is actually a nightmare? I guess that there is no way for us to actually be able to understand that……」

Or it is perhaps all in the hands of those that were left behind……?

Because there might just be a person who is actually capable of defeating the Slumbering God that is waiting for its awakening, waking the true “slumbering God” in the process……」

But whatever it might be, it is the truth that the God that is enshrined in here is waiting for its grand awakening. It is a strong impulse that even Julius Shangri-La’s world stability and Weissash’s seal could not fully stop, only slow it down and provide a temporary relief.

「Sorry kids, but I guess I won’t be able to go out and play with you for a while now.」

He saw it. Yes, he has seen it clearly, what was inside of Goldunine’s mind for so long…… Her wish was to finally be able to meet with “her”. But once she got to learn the truth, she already knew what was going to happen, and that her wish would never come to fruition.

Right now, only Goldunine alone knows what drives the snake inside of her.

But even so, Weissash had a rough idea of what that thing could be, because once you get down to it, she was a very simple being.

「But I guess that this is not the case with “him”.」

A trail of pipe smoke comes out of Weissash’s mouth. But how much sigh was contained in that pipe smoke?

The head of the White Omikami, who sleeps far overhead. The “woman” who was taken in by burying her lower body in the forehead just keeps on sleeping blissfully.

Yes, at the current moment, the “Goddess” for the Next Generation of Human Beings living in the present age was just…… sleeping blissfully, oblivious to all.
