ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

What exactly is wisdom? How can we utilize our knowledge to our advantage?

At least that seems to be the main theme that defines the world of Shangri-La Frontier.

Those of the lower classes prefer the purely physical battles. That sometimes allow them to reach the new heights to reach the classes that were previously unavailable to them. But if that approach fails, you simply need to reexamine your strategy and change the approach method accordingly. That is wisdom. And that is how you should be using it.

If you can find it on a straight road after emerging from the basement, you can go on the sea route to reach your goal. The sea of this world is a magical world where monsters who are strong enough to cull the masses of players are dwelling. But conversely, there are not so many monsters in shallow waters, which can grant you a safe passage.

Meandering and swimming in the sea with a quietness that can’t be normally imagined or grasped, and the incredible giants that wait just beyond the place where the shallows grow into a deep ocean…… A giant snake that looks like a two-story single-family house , and it’s just its head alone. Although it matches the characteristics of a snake, the twisted horns that grow from its head are not something a snake should possess (putting aside the fact that a snake could never hope to grow so huge). If so, then it was not a mere snake, but a creature much closer to a dragon in nature. And that points to the fact that this thing must be the snake—dragon Naga.

「……………」

The dragon snake, or the individual named Gratos, rushes through the ocean with its giant body. Its aim is the South Sea of the New World, a land populated by Vorpal Bunnies obscured by insurmountable fog, clouds, and the sky.

Or not.

「…………!」

Gratos sneaks into the sea with a dive that is way too quiet for the rough size and texture of its giant body. The dragon snake lives on the ground by a combination of the force that takes moss growing on its body and generates a large amount of oxygen for it, making it also possible for it to breathe in water, and the force technique that pushes the buoyancy of the air inside of its body downwards, giving its movements more propulsive force. Although it should not be possible for it to glide through the water, it was doing just that. Just like a sea snake.

Gratos, who got a clear view underwater because of its nictitating membrane, heads directly under Rabbitz towards the torn right wing tip of the great Black God that only those who know the complete map of this world can approach.

Strictly speaking, the dragon snake swims in the sea toward the boundary between the Black Ground and the White Stratum.

「…………」

Once he was there, the dragon-snake Gratos perceived that a slight surprise was waiting for him. The original plan was to physically make a “hole” in this gap between black and white, but for some reason there was a horizontal hole at the end of its line of sight that allowed the dragon-snake to pass through with plenty of room of room to spare. That was unexpected.

「………」

It was understandable even for someone with the thought processing power so great as Gratos’s that he was clearly being invited inside. But that is not the reason for which the Great Snake was pushing its way forward. With further advancement, the dragon-snake managed to finally fall into the great hole……

…

………

……………

……………

………

…

「Hey there, you have surely come a difficult road to het here, haven’t you?」

「…………」

It was dark. So very dark.

However, Gratos’s perceptive organs were able to catch a small figure standing right in front of it. Was that a man? No, it was smaller than a human. It was a Bunny.

「…………」

It reached its destination and encountered the existence that it was hoping to meet all this time.

It can be said that Gratos played most of its role at that exact moment, and while some murky feelings were mixing inside of it with a strange sense of accomplishment…… there were also feelings inside of it that were its own, but at the same time felt alien and foreign.

「Hey there.」

「It’s been a long time…… Bunny.」

「You say that it’s been a long time, but I don’t really feel that it’s been all that long.」

Hearing those words being muttered so casually, the ancestral snake lurking in Gratos’s mouth…… the Inexhaustible snake in the shape of a woman called Goldunine frowned unpleasantly.

「It’s here, right? Right here, in this place?」

「Yes, you bet it is. It is right here, right where we are standing.」

One of the former human beings who can be defined as God if we assume that the creator of a humanity is a being called “God” as well. A woman who left the world as it was about to perish to the envy, jealously and hatred and decided to wait for a new tomorrow in which she could prosper.

Goldunine was convinced that she was “here”, that person who would have died a long time ago, if you only think according to the rules of common sense. And the Bunny in front of it right now…… It was wondering if Weissash was here to stop it from going any further.

「I didn’t intended to talk for long…… I advise you to retreat at once.」

The air got awfully tense in here…… No, it was the feeling of intimidation, as if the air was poisoned all of a sudden. Gratos, who was able to read the feelings of its Master, also flickered its tongue intimidatingly.

「………」

However, even after receiving all of that intimidation all by himself, Weissash was still unwavering. Under the immense pressure of the four snake eyes, the Bunny stared at them without blinking, and then he retreated to the side as to give way of his own initiative.

「…… Huh?」

An unexpected question mark arises in Goldunine’s mind. Why was he inviting her in, instead of trying to chase her away? This Bunny has been preventing the invasion of Goldunine’s forces for thousands of years since the first invasion attempt took place Therefore, she was unable to understand the intention of giving her way at this very moment.

「…… What the hell is the meaning of this?」

「The time is near.」

The reply that he returned was beyond the understanding of Goldunine. However, the words that followed were something that neither she nor her dragon-snake could possibly ignore.

「Surely you must know this as well, don’t you? The answer, that is……」

At that moment the surrounding darkness started to fade, as if those exact words were a signal. The space itself, not the lighting around here, was modified to make it easier to see.
