ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「And now, it’s time to use the secret technique that was passed down from generation to generation between elementary school boy all over the world! Watch and be amazed……」

By spinning the bucket of water with all of your might, you can achieve the “water that doesn’t quite fall” effect thanks to the centrifugal force…… Normally you do that with plain old water, but this time around I am using magma, instead. The material might be different, but the same principle applies. Hah! If I mess this one up, I will get magma all over my head, so I better make that count!

Normally, all that would be left now would be for me to just go home, but…… Since I am here, I need to evacuate, and the time is running out for me. It would sure be great to be able to jump into the air one or two times from this position…… So let’s do just that!

「Heave!」

The first jump, I make a somersault on the spot and turn around at the same time.

「Ho!」

The second jump, I jump high into the air while staying in the same spot.

「Commencing Rescue Operation: Intelligence Catch!」

And then I just grabbed Sigma’s hand who came right to my aid while I was still in mid-air, and both of us managed to safely return to the firm ground. Ironically enough, because I happen to have the INVENTORY bracelets on both my hands, even if one of my hands is blocked, the other can be operated as normally, so this kind of trick can be performed in this situation no problem.

Sina’s armament is fully stocked, including an aerial mobility unit that can give her enough energy to sustain herself in the air while also carrying another person plus a bucket filled with golden magma no problem.

Well, I mean, the more the allowable weight to carry is increased, the less resources are devoted to other armaments, though. So if you specialize in flight ability all the way and forego everything else, you can do transport of heavy cargo just fine, but only the transport. But oh well, in our current situation that is more than enough.

「Well, I don’t even know what to say right now……」

「Yo there, my Fellow Heroes Candidates! Sorry to say this, but I have other stuff to do, so whatever it is that you are doing, I’ll have to sit this one out! Well, do your best, I guess!」

「Umm, I’m sorry that we are going to leave you on your own like that……」

「Hey, don’t you think that getting your hands on your objective by a non-regular means like that pretty much amounts to cheating?」

「Whatever it may be here, it would be great if you could both wrap up your business in here soon, alright?」

Imron…… You should never compromise with anything in life, not even with a simple thing like a bucket. That is the only correct answer that I can give you here.

Just as we were about to leave this place, Midas-dono asked me what was going to do with the bucket filled with golden magma. Well, I mean, sure, I can answer your question…… If you are ready to handle the answer to it, that is.

「If a wish is more than enough to awaken a Holy Weapon…… Then I want to speak my own wish and see what form that wish is going to take.」

「This is……」

Forgive me, Midas, but I’m not entirely sure myself what I said just now. It doesn’t make any sense even to me, even though I have just lined up some cool words that sounded really cheeky inside of my mind and spoke them out loud…… But let’s just keep silent and don’t elaborate on that one. After all if the mystery makes a woman beautiful, then the silence polishes a man’s worth.

I really have no idea just what I am talking about right now. I wonder if it’s because I’m tired or what?

Well, I have achieved my original goal here. Let’s go help out Rei-san while I’m at it!

* * *

「……………」

The earth starts to shake and sway.

「……………」

Neither Rei-san nor I dare to say anything right now. We just casually exchange glances as if it was the most natural thing for us to do in this situation. And after that it basically feel as though we were staring at one another forever……

「VOLULULULUULULOH!!!」

「「……………」」

I look up at Rei-san, and Rei-san looks down at me. Why am I looking up at Rei-san, and she looks down on me, you may ask? Shouldn’t she still be shorter than me when it comes to the avatar’s height?

That’s because at the current moment Rei-san was straddling a horse that was so big that it was simply ridiculous. What’s more, the horse’s coat is obviously metallic in texture…… Yeah, I thought it was a horse-shaped Warbeast, but a part of me was hoping that maybe it was just your normal horse. I guess escaping reality is not as easy as everyone think it is.

「Umm……… Who is that, if I may ask?」

「If I were to tell you the whole story, it would simply take too long, I’m afraid…… And it would be a waste of time. For the time being…… Umm……」

─── I changed my job to the hidden top job of “Lunar Dragoon”.

「Hooo……」

「Umm…… Also, for the time being, it needs a proper name. What should I call it, I wonder……?」

「VURURURURURU……」

It’s not a thoroughbred type of a horse, but rather gigantic armored Warbeast. And one of those who would have no problem with turning a person’s head into a minced meat just by virtue of stepping on it really hard. At least that’s the feeling I am getting here. But was…… is this thing a stallion? Or is this thing a mare? It’s honestly difficult for me to tell here. And this thing is staring daggers at me, as if it was mocking me or something like that!? That’s it! Challenge accepted! So I glare right back at it, showing no signs of fear whatsoever.

「How about Weisswurst? What do you think?」

「Alright then, so that would mean……」

GOOON!!!

「Uwaah!?」

「S—Sanraku-kun!?」

This little shit! It only managed to head-butt me, but that blow was more than enough to cut my overall HP by a whooping forty percent! Does that mean that this stupid piece of horsemeat is way smarter than it seems? But if so, then how come you let yourself to be captured, huh!?
