ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「By the way, Rust? What was the Difficulty Level Twenty like?」

「…… A Lion that goes Full Burst on you? That kind of a thing?」

「Hmm, I don’t really know what’s that like, but I like that either way…… Say, Brave Fish? When it comes to those things…… Ah, is it possible to use the Non-Standard Tactical Machines in those battles? Or maybe not really?」

「Theoretically you could, but there is always going to be the issue of fuel efficiency to consider. I mean, if you were to ignore that matter completely and just go all out, I estimate that you could fight for about ten minutes or so without actually going overboard? Maybe even less.」

「Ahh…… Yeah, that seems kind of rough. I don’t really like those numbers.」

The other Player who was sitting in this place for almost as long as Rust and Mold was also someone who managed to conquer the entirety of the “Leviathan”…… It was none other than Yashiro Bird. And although his reasons for being here were entirely different from those of Rust and Mold’s, the facilities that they were using to meet the endo f their goals were exactly the same. And hearing the words of the Brave Fish right now, Yashiro Bird shook his shoulders slightly and gave her a bitter smile.

Yashiro Bird might not look the part, but he actually knows pretty well just how important it is to known your own strengths and weaknesses, as well as to choose the challenges appropriate to your own ability. All thanks to his rather obscure origins in other games. Because of that, even though he knew that it would surely be nice for him to be able to defeat that Full Body Firearms Lion, he also knew that it would be pretty much impossible for him at the current moment and level. His skills in operating the menus as well as his equipment itself were nowhere near optimal for undergoing such a task. So he just decided to deem it impossible and gave up.

「Oh, that’s right, Rust-san. I know that it’s good to try and experiment, making weapons on your own, but it shouldn’t hurt to actually try and browse through the already existing stuff. Or things that others have created. How about this, for example? What do you think?」

「…… Hmm, not bad. Not bad at all. I think I’m actually going to buy this.」

「That would be two hundred thousand Scores, thank you very much.」

「……………」

Rust doesn’t say anything to that. She just casually took out the two hundred thousand Scores that she just managed to earn in the Coliseum and handles them to Yashiro Bird without a word. In return, she received from him the blueprints data for a new “gun” that Yashiro Bird managed to “invent”.

What they are trying to accomplish here is to deepen their understanding on formation and manufacture of weapons in the fourth layer of the Leviathan…… by literally creating their own blueprints and trying to put their own creations from scratch. Which only sounded easy, but was actually anything but. Yashiro Bird, a man who is crazy about firearms like about nothing else in this world. And Rust, a woman who is crazy about Mechas like nothing else in this world. The two of them make blueprints, and then it was just creating, and creating, and creating some more. But there was a one simple problem with this constructing mindset…… If you are creating and constructing all the time without stopping, you basically run out of funds and building materials in no time. Which means that someone had to replenish their Score deficits.

Mold, on the other hand, was giving it his all in order to pack all of his possible ideas and demands into a single Non-Standard Tactical Machine. As a matter of fact, his blueprints were completed some time ago, and right about now he was at the stage where he was trying his best to put it all together in an orderly fashion. But as for Rust, who should be more absorbed in this ultimate weapon creation even more than Mold is at the current moment, she was still at the stage where she was struggling to complete even a single blueprint herself.

And that is because her half-runaway Mecha Greed did not allow the word “compromise” to be added into her dictionary……

「…… And with that being done, I can officially create anything that I might desire.」

「Yes, that’s right. If someone was ever to tell me that at one point in time I would own six machines on my own, I would never actually believe them and call them outright crazy.」

Inside of a space where everything is established in the form of an information body, when Rust operated a certain console, six separate windows were then displayed in front of her.

・ RS: Ο Blue Batsuzan Gaisei

・ RS: Ο Kouryo Wissui

・ RS: ◇ Sengaku Hisai

・ RS: ◇ Gyokusekikonkou

・ RS: Δ Garyohousu

・ RS: Δ Kokusimsou

「…… Fufu, Fufufuhihihihihihi!!!」

「Rust……」

「I know…… Oh you have no idea just how much I know…… You are basically laughing like a maniac and smile just like a psycho the very moment that you realize that the goal that you have been struggling towards all this time is finally within your reach……」

Watching the two people whose passion was so strong and hot that it could basically turn into magma at any moment now, Mold could not help himself but to let out a sigh filled with worry and resignation. Then he just went back to operating his console, just like he was doing until a moment ago. There, that single console was displaying the name of the thing that he was currently working on with so much concentration.
