ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

In the end, in the eyes of the Miner Dwarves I turned out to be way more entertaining and interesting person than they initially expected me to be, and that led to the Dwarves revising and re-evaluating their opinion of the player named Sanraku. Which is actually a good thing, I guess.

At the time of the Dragon Disaster War, the Leader of the Miner Dwarves was unable to take an active part in it because of the actual drinking party that was happening in real life, and in the end they were only able to play an active part by taking care of some small fries that were left on the field and shouting some obscure profanities under the enemy’s names. So in other words: it was basically them playing Heel without managing to accomplish all that much. That was also the reason why they were unable to meet with me, the real Tsuchinko-san, even though I was pretty active and had my hands busy with all the fighting that was taking place there.

After that, although the truth is still unknown and there is no way to actually confirm this, there was a story that was going on from one person to another as hearsay that the clan Leader actually managed to meet “Tsuchinoko-san”, but in an entirely different game whatsoever…… and then there was the matter of leaked Orchestra of the Gloomy Melody Canonical Route footage. It would seem that from all that, everyone who saw that, Natsu-san included, were more than convinced that the legendary “Tsuchinoko-san” was the type of a player who would basically get drunk on role-play and actually go out of their way to participate in even more of it.

「…… You seem to have way more communicative competence than I expected. That’s actually pretty surprising.」

When the invitation from Imron first came to her and Natsu-san agreed to join our party, she had no idea to know that via the cause and effect she would be forming a party with the legendary “Sanraku” player that everyone was talking about these days. That, and also the fact that the legendary Sanraku was by no means a “Hero” type of a player that some people seemed to have taken me for……

Not to mention the fact that I can also be horribly reliable and dependable, at least when I feel like acting that way.

First of all, even without small fries coming near you to attack, it is still a lot of work for any Player out there who plans to traverse through the New Continent in order to uncover all of its secrets.

After all, it requires a considerable amount of resources and concentration to beat the bosses that you might come across, and then travel from one city to another, which were already pretty sparse in here…… In other words, unlike the Old Continent which is dotted with bases and safe heavens where you can replenish supplies, save your game and rest up, the capture of the New Continent is not exactly a battle of Player versus Monsters, but actually a struggle to maintain enough supplies so that you could safely traverse from one save point to another without dying halfway in between them and putting those resources to waste without having anything to show for it.

Most of the death patterns in the New World capture attempts are golden combos of being overrun by powerful monsters after being deprived of your precious resources because you were busy with battles with small fries, so the ability to avoid those kind of pesky encounters altogether is the greatest for of a blessing that you could possibly hope for.

But apparently Sanraku seemed to be somewhat oblivious of that fact…… But if you were to ask some of the guilds from the absolute top, especially those with a high percentage of Magic Users in their ranks, getting at least a small portion of their members “Scratched” or “Wounded” by Nightprowler Luukan was starting to become the best established strategy for the whole parties to explore and traverse dangerous terrains. It was honestly foolish to think that sooner or later someone would not pick up on that strategy and try to exploit it in their favor as much as possible.

What’s more, even though it was also a given at this point in time, Sanraku’s performance was also so over the top that it could only be descried as: horribly reliable.

If you were to ask Natsu-san about what she thinks of Sanraku, she would have to say that the level one hundred fifty at which he is currently sitting at, is like the greatest gap between him and all the other players in terms of performance. Without a shred of a doubt. Not to mention that he is the first one ever to reach a level so high, if Natsu-san’s memory served her correctly. Even if you close your eyes to the fact that the advantages and disadvantages of Luukan’s Carved Wounds will become even greater with your level, the current Sanraku is the strongest of all ShanFro players in terms of simple level advantage and raw stats. There was simply no other way in which this thing could be said —– that was just the truth.

When Natsu—san first heard that Sanraku did not invest any points at all in his Vitality and it was still sitting at its base value, being like that of a freshly starting player, for a moment out there she thought that he was messing with her. After all, there is no way that something like that can be true, and anyone saying otherwise could not possibly be serious. But then it turned out that his build was almost exclusively centered around acrobatics and Critical Hits, and the added boost to attack and avoidance from the Agility stat only helped him to cement his title of the Fastest Player out there. As far as the build specialization is concerned, it could be said that it was no mere build, nothing that could be considered normal. It was a complete extreme, something that no new player would actually think of building towards from the get go: a combination of the extreme light-weight warrior that focuses on the aspects of Avoidance Tank while at the same time being able to contribute some serious DPS to every single battle that he was taking a part in.

「Does that mean that an Avoidance Tank can be build while distributing your stats in whatever way you feel like doing it, not paying that any mind at all? That actually sounds kind of ridiculous to me.」

Natsu-san is a dedicated Healer, through and through. And because of that fact, she always had to be very observant when it comes to the events on the frontlines of various battles. As a result, she was certain that when it comes to the movements of the avant-garde and the middle guard and their actual battle tactics, she had more insight about those things than any other ordinary Magic Caster out there. That is also why she was able to fully grasp the meaning of existence of a Player called “Sanraku”. And that is also why she was able to fully understand the tremendous “worth” that he was bringing with himself onto the table. He was actually a piece that every party out there would basically kill for, just so that they could have access to him.
