ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

The All-Night Knight Karintou is the owner of toughness so great that it allows her to continuously stay logged in for more than ten hours if she wants to.

And the All-Night Knight Karintou is the owner of toughness so great that it allows her to stay continuously logged in for more than twenty hours if she only cared to do so.

However, there is an upper limit to the continuous login time due to the safety mechanism software installed on the Full Dive VR system’s side. And if you do a Full Dive for too long, a system window will pop up that will keep on recommending log out to you over and over again. This is so that the Player will sooner or later deem the window as “annoying” and log out just to get rid of it.

「R-Right, I guess I’ll be going now……」

「Cool, thank you for your cooperation, Lombard-san.」

「How can this person still be so full of energy…… Be seeing you~.」

Therefore, from all the Players constituting the organization known as The Streamers’ Union, she was the one who would spend the most time inside of the world of ShangriLa Frontier per day.

It was also an unwritten understanding between the viewers and the streamer herself to not ask questions such: “Is your real world life alright?” Besides, it surely had nothing to do with the fact that she was still unable to move on from her now ex-boyfriend and the psychological damages the break-up caused her.

While the last of her comrades with whom she was collecting materials for some time now logged out, Karintou started to wonder what it is that she should do right about now.

There was a thought in her head that maybe she should log out for the time being. But there were still materials she wanted to obtain and some things she wanted to do, so she also thought that two more hours shouldn’t really be a problem now……

If this was a normal stream, then it could be all wrapped up for the day the moment she would notice that the amount of viewers was dropping due to late hour or people having to take care of some business back in real life. However, either fortunately or unfortunately, this was Karintou’s private gaming session, and the middle of her “Farming Marathon” no less.

「The New Continent~…… Ahh, I wish that I could go there.」

At the current moment the New Continent is a base for the Former Royal faction in the upcoming event. From the Player’s point of view, there is no reason to discriminate against sub-races of this world, and it is a little difficult for the New Royal faction to act as a top player magnet mostly because the popular NPC “Saint-chan” is also supporting the Former Royal faction.

There is also another rather unwieldy reason as to why it is impossible for Karintou to go to the New Continent right now: it would simply take too long time-wise for her to get there and then to go back.

「I’m really lucky that this whole Behemoth thing was released in the Old Continent. Thanks a lot, Tsuchinoko-san.」

The Leviathan is still unavailable to her due to pure physical distance issues, but the fact that the Behemoth can easily be reached once you have access to Firstea, is very much appreciated by Karintou. After all, she could only use those of the various facilities that are located in the Old World for the time being.

In the Kingdom Mayhem scenario, although it is pretty much mandatory to declare support for one of the camps in the Old World for maximum efficiency, she was thinking of being truly independent. But the problem with that reasoning was that it would be a whole lot easier to just go to the Behemoth rather than to try and repeatedly sneak into the both headquarters cities of both factions.

It was a pity that the majority of the FPS lovers who belonged to the same Union as Karintou could not use the Leviathan, because the enhanced armament from the Era of the Gods would be all of their fantasies come true. However, from the perspective of Karintou, who wants to fight mostly with fantasy-like equipment, all she wants from a facility called the Behemoth is the release of the Level Cap.

「Hmm, yeah…… Now would be as good of a time as any to recover the Durability of my equipment and……」

It was then, at that exact moment.

「Die!!!」

「Huh!?」

The echoing voice. The approaching shadow. The all too familiar feeling of ammunition…… piercing Karintou’s side.

Karintou’s HP decreases at a rapid pace, and the knockback effect causes her small and petite body of her female avatar to fall to the ground.

「Yes! We did it!」

「Nice!」

「Encircle her! Encircle here! There is going to be a literal mountain-load of Drop Items to be divided between us from someone of her caliber!」

「Says the one who was only commenting! That’s rich coming from someone like you!」

(Ahh, could it be that someone was targeting me for a while now?)

Karintou was imagining that she received a large amount of damage from a long-range weapon, most probably a gun. But apparently the power of that weapon seemed to be pretty low for all the fuss that its user was making, and while she was still collapsed on the floor she managed to confirm that her HP in fact did not decrease more than twenty percent. Karintou then quickly sorted out the situation while listening to the loud and noisy voices around her.

Those were the Player Killers whose names were displayed in red. This means that they have already killed a bunch of other Players. And judging from their conversation, they must have known that she was the “All-Night Knight” Karintou before they decided ot assault her. And their prediction was spot-on as well: right about now, Karintou’s inventory was filled to the brim with drop items from her “Farming Marathon”, as well as weapons and armor whose durability was almost completely drained.

(Hmm…… It seems that I can kill those Player Killers rather easily if I wanted to, but what about my equipment? I would like to keep it in one piece of I could help it.)

Her equipment has been repeatedly hit for more than a few hours now, which meant that it could be broken to pieces at any time now. Although it was not one of her more serious equipment pieces, the equipment made out of Amlucidian Quartz made with the cooperation of various artisans and viewers alike was too regrettable to be lost just like that, especially since it was ideal for long marathons like this one.

「Now then…… Since I don’t really feel like losing all of my items, I’m going to resist. But surely you don’t mind that, right, guys?」

「Heh! You really think you can beat us!? While you are this outnumbered!?」

「You can even stream it if you want! The first ever stream where you are going to have your ass handed to you!」

「Hyaha!」
