ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

I have only the bare minimum of HP on me at the current moment, so even if I were to put my best performance I would get destroyed instantly and someone would need to revive me asap. However, things are starting to look way better when Rei-san gets put into the equation here, since she can support me on the frontlines with her mighty firepower and outstanding Vitality. And that’s without even mentioning the Healer that we have, so with a combination like that there is no way in hell that we are going to lose to any enemy out there!

All the legs of the crab are then smashed in no time at all, and finally the crab that has been struck with a mighty blow of an oversized Warhammer right between the eyes falls down to the ground and dies on the spot. The Crab surely did its very best, but in this case it was not good enough. It was rather unfortunate for it that the avant-garde of our team consisted of Rei-san and her destructive firepower and weapon, and myself who at this point in time considers himself a self-made expert when it comes to fighting creatures with multiple legs. If you really want to have a shot at beating us, try to grow a tail with a sword-like stinger and then come back. Maybe the results are going to be different then, who knows?

「Ahh, I don’t get to receive any Experience Points? What the hell!? That’s totally unfair!」

When I was still at level ninety nine, all the experience points that I was receiving were still accumulating inside of me in the form of the “Extended” status. However, now it would seem that the situation was going to be quite different here. Even though the giant crab monster is disappearing, the experience value that I have on me sits at the same value of plus zero, and it would seem that instead of being enshrined for safekeeping it would go to waste instead. Yes, nothing brings me greater despair and sadness than seeing perfectly good resources going to shit just like that.

「But I must say that Holy thing…… is it wand or something else like that? Is it completely meant as a Healer exclusive item? Or can it possibly be used for something else?」

「Yes, that’s right. This here item is Holy Wand Asclepius, a wand whose magic sleeps deep within the item itself, waiting to be called upon by its wielder. Now, it has a very special and unique power, because it can convert any attack magic, defense magic, enhancement magic, or debuff magic into special spell called “Heroic Heal”.」

「Seriously? That sounds rather awesome.」

So, according to that explanation just now, it is an item that does not use the Recovery Magic itself, but rather makes the Recovery Magic from whatever source the player actually has on hand at any given moment? That’s really something, really useful ability if you know how to handle it properly. And this also means that at the current moment I know more or less about every Heroic Weapon out there, save for the Heroic Bow, who is still as much of an enigma to me now as it was before.

The Holy Sword possesses the raw power strong enough to overcome even the most improbable of circumstances.

The Holy Lance possesses the power to completely penetrate the defenses of everything and everyone that it is directed at.

The Holy Hammer possesses the power to give weapons and armor bonus stats and effects during the process of their creation, and can also produce additional weapons of slightly worse quality with the help of appropriate catalysts.

And then we have the Holy Wand that possesses the power to turn basically every kind of magic power into the strengthened recovery magic.

So, if we were to just follow up on this pattern, I am seriously starting to worry about what kind of an overpowered ability the Holy Bow is holding inside of itself. I even thought about asking the older Saiga sister about it at one point, but I could easily imagine that she would just say something alongside the lines of: “I’m too busy with looking for and defeating Luukan to worry about pointless stuff like that!”. I mean, good luck finding where Luukan is, if not even I, someone who defeated its shadow, knows where its real body is. You might as well go and search the entirety of the New World and the Old World centimeter by centimeter at this point. And that would still not guarantee you any results, and especially not the kind that you were so hoping to get here.

「Oh yeah, which reminds me. Rei-san?」

「Ah, umm, yes? What is it?」

「Just what kind of weapon the Holy Bow is? Do you happen to know anything about it? Or do you happen to know someone who knows?」

Let’s not forget about the fact that Rei-san used to belong to the Black Wolves, the strongest guild in the entire game. And not only belonged, but she was also in a position that you could pretty much call the executive. So someone like her must know at least something.

And just like that, I managed to acquire some information on the Holy Bow. So, according to Rei-san, the Holy Bow seems to be a weapon that can serve both as a magic bow and a physical bow at the same time. Not only can you use it like you could use both those types of weapons respectively, but you can also make the physical arrow contain magical power and make it explode on impact, or conversely, cover the physical arrow with magical power to increase its power and speed…… So I can see that it is a weapon that allows for some creativity with its use, and is only limited to just how limited the imagination of its wielder is going to be.

It also seems that the monsters that appear around this swamp are solely the monster you would find exclusively in a biome of this type. …… So yeah, swamp monsters. Among them, there is that crab-looking monster that attacked us earlier. It was not even scared of my Carved Wounds, so it must have been one of the stronger monsters in this entire area. And then we have that fish-like creature with its would-be legs that cast one glance towards me and then it started to run away as if its life depended on it. So I guess that the Carved Wounds are working as intended, but for some reason we seem to be attracting only strong monster towards our little group. Ain’t that grand?

And then, how can I say this…… That fish-like monster with those would-be legs? Isn’t that basically some sort of a distant relative to the Mud Digger? But them again, what would that make it out to be? Some sort of a legged catfish shark-thing? Something like that?

「But that being said, wasn’t that are supposed to be Noirlind’s base of operations at one point in time? I’m actually kind of surprised that we don’t see more dragon-type enemies around these parts.」

「Noirlind leaves this region to go hunt a whole lot. And it hunts not any game out there, but the greatest ones of them all, the Black Monsters.」
