Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Just as Zhao Rong began to suspect that the woman before him, Yang Yuhua, was a magical beast, she suddenly transformed. In an instant, the human had turned into a massive Komodo dragon.

Staring at the scene unfolding before his eyes, Zhao Rong said in disbelief, ”Holy moly… This women’s university is truly unbelievable. There are so many things happening here that I couldn’t even have imagined.”

The assistant, equally terrified, stammered, ”No way! The middle-aged beauty suddenly turned into a man, and then into a Komodo dragon? This is more thrilling than a sci-fi blockbuster!”

The Komodo dragon facing them was enormous. It flicked its forked tongue as it closed in on Zhao Rong and his assistant. ”I didn’t want to transform,” it hissed, ”but you forced my hand. Now that I have, I’m going to swallow you both whole.”

Zhao Rong and his assistant exchanged a look, and then they both smiled.

Looking at the gigantic lizard, the assistant said, ”Zhao Rong has killed countless magical beasts. You, a mere Komodo dragon, think you can act all high and mighty in front of him? You’re asking for death.”

Zhao Rong brandished the Dharma Sword in his hand. ”Everyone else is out there desperately searching for Demon Crystals and coming up empty,” he said. ”But for some reason, I always seem to stumble upon magical beasts and get a Demon Crystal with ease.”

Now in its beast form, Yang Yuhua suddenly leaped, lunging toward Zhao Rong. Facing the fierce creature, Zhao Rong sidestepped nimbly, easily dodging its gaping maw. His assistant, however, was not so fortunate. He was struck by the Komodo dragon’s powerful tail and sent tumbling to the ground.

Zhao Rong rushed over and helped his assistant up, checking him for injuries. ”Are you alright? You weren’t hurt by its tail, were you?”

The assistant shook his head, picked up a nearby stool, and hurled it at the beast. ”I’m fine, Zhao Rong!”

Seeing that his assistant was unharmed, Zhao Rong immediately swung his Dharma Sword, slashing at the Komodo dragon. To his surprise, as he swung, the beast opened its massive jaws and clamped down hard on the Dharma Sword.

Zhao Rong struggled to yank his weapon free from the monster’s mouth. ”Damn it! I’ve been killing magical beasts for years, and this is the first time one has caught my Dharma Sword in its teeth!”

The creature spoke with smug satisfaction. ”The teeth of a Komodo dragon are famously tough. Nothing escapes my jaws once I’ve bitten down.”

Zhao Rong noticed that although the creature’s teeth were incredibly sharp, the gaps between them were quite large. A flash of inspiration struck him. He immediately retrieved a string of firecrackers from his Magic Ring, lit the fuse, and tossed it right into the gaps between the Komodo dragon’s teeth.

CRACKLE! POP!

A series of sharp explosions echoed out. The previously indomitable Komodo dragon was sent reeling. It released the Dharma Sword and began hopping around on the floor, screeching in pain. ”Damn you! That’s a dirty trick! You can’t just throw firecrackers in someone’s mouth!”

While pulling a detonator from his Magic Ring, Zhao Rong retorted, ”I’m not just throwing firecrackers in your mouth. I’m about to throw this detonator in there, too!”

With that, he tossed the detonator straight into the Komodo dragon’s mouth.

BOOM!

A deafening explosion erupted, and the creature’s large mouth was blasted to smithereens. Having lost its jaw and sharp fangs, the Komodo dragon was instantly powerless. Seizing the opportunity, the assistant grabbed a nearby iron table and smashed it down on the beast.

As the Komodo dragon was struck by the heavy table, Zhao Rong saw his chance. He raised the Dharma Sword high and bellowed, ”Eat my sword!”

He plunged the blade deep into the Komodo dragon’s body. As it happened, his strike landed precisely in the creature’s heart. The beast, which had been so arrogant and seemingly invincible just moments before, let out a few weak whimpers and died.

After killing the Komodo dragon, Zhao Rong wiped the sweat from his forehead and began to dissect the corpse. ”I hope there’s a decent Demon Crystal inside this thing,” he said to his assistant.

The assistant gave him a thumbs-up. ”Zhao Rong, what can I even say? You’re just too incredible! I don’t think there’s a single magical beast in this world you can’t kill.”

Zhao Rong replied humbly, ”It’s not that I’m so amazing. It’s this Dharma Sword in my hands that’s truly incredible.”

Although the Komodo dragon’s hide was exceptionally tough and resistant to weapons, under the edge of Zhao Rong’s Dharma Sword, it was as easy to slice as a cicada’s wing. In no time at all, Zhao Rong had extracted the Demon Crystal from within the creature’s body. He noticed it was different from the Demon Crystals of other magical beasts.

”My luck is great today!” he exclaimed happily. ”I actually got a purple Demon Crystal!”

Hearing this, the assistant immediately congratulated him. ”Zhao Rong, a purple Demon Crystal is a treasure of unparalleled rarity! You could trade that for a castle and still have plenty left over!”

Zhao Rong knew that compared to ordinary Demon Crystals, purple ones were not only priceless but also possessed immense medicinal, alchemical, and upgrading value. After placing the purple Demon Crystal into the Magic Ring, he said cheerfully, ”Today’s haul has been fantastic. We just got to the women’s university, killed a magical beast, and even got a priceless purple Demon Crystal.”

Just as Zhao Rong and his assistant were celebrating, an alarm suddenly blared through the school.

”I called the police,” the assistant said. ”They must be here.”

Zhao Rong herded the tightly bound criminals, who were still lying on the floor, toward the door. ”You bunch of unforgivable scoundrels, you’d better cooperate. I’m handing you over to the police now. If you try any tricks or refuse to cooperate, I’ll kill you just like I killed that Komodo dragon.”

When the thugs saw the tragic state of their dead boss, Yang Yuhua, they became completely obedient, following Zhao Rong out of the school cafeteria one by one.

After the police arrived, they immediately reviewed the cafeteria’s surveillance footage. Their investigation dismantled the entire criminal organization operating out of the cafeteria. It also led to the identification of a fugitive who had been on the run for ten years. It turned out that Yang Yuhua was not just a magical beast, but also a fugitive wanted by Xijing City.

When the police chief saw that Zhao Rong had killed the wanted fugitive in an act of self-defense, she immediately stepped forward to commend him. ”Young hero, you are truly the pride of Xijing City! Today, you not only helped us take down a criminal gang, but you also eliminated a fugitive who has plagued our city for a decade.”

When Zhao Rong heard that his spontaneous actions had led to the downfall of a crime syndicate and the death of a ten-year fugitive, he scratched the back of his head. ”It was just a stroke of blind luck,” he said modestly. ”I never imagined that the random thug I took down would turn out to be a fugitive wanted for ten years.”

The police chief immediately presented Zhao Rong with a certificate of honor. ”Young hero, there’s something you don’t know. Our police department had offered a one-million-pound reward for this fugitive’s capture.”

Hearing about a million-pound reward, Zhao Rong’s eyes widened. He looked at the police chief and asked, ”Chief, does that mean… I get to collect that one-million-pound bounty today?”

The police chief nodded. ”Yes. When we posted the bounty, we made it clear: anyone who assists the police in capturing or eliminating this magical beast fugitive will be rewarded with one million in cash. And that’s not in Renminbi, but in British Pounds.”

When Zhao Rong heard he was about to be rewarded with one million British Pounds, he was ecstatic.

Tonight’s haul is unbelievable! Not only did I get a purple Demon Crystal, but I also got a one-million-pound reward. A million British Pounds… at the current exchange rate, that’s over eight million RMB!

When the assistant standing next to him saw that Zhao Rong had effortlessly made over eight million RMB in a single evening, he was so envious his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Licking his lips, he looked at Zhao Rong with adoration. ”Zhao Rong, now I see why so many beautiful women are head over heels for you.”

At that moment, the police chief turned to a lawyer standing beside her. ”Lawyer Wang, the reward money prepared by the station can now be given to this young hero.”

Lawyer Wang nodded. ”Understood, Chief. I will now hand over the bank card containing the one million British Pounds in cash to this young hero.”

With that, Lawyer Wang took an exquisite bank card from his briefcase and handed it to Zhao Rong. ”Young hero, this bank card holds one million British Pounds. It is now your reward.”

Accepting the card, Zhao Rong thanked the police chief and the lawyer. ”Thank you both so much! I never imagined a simple, unintentional act today could lead to such a huge reward.”

The police chief and the lawyer both gave him a thumbs-up. ”That’s because you are a just and righteous person. It allows you to see the evil in this world and bring criminals to justice. You’ve earned this money. Go on, enjoy it.”

Zhao Rong nodded and placed the bank card into his Magic Ring. ”I will. I’m saving all my money right now to establish the Zhao Rong Foundation, dedicated to helping the elderly, the sick, the poor, and anyone else in need.”

When the police chief and the lawyer saw Zhao Rong’s compassionate spirit, they nodded and spoke very highly of him.

Just then, the assistant looked at Zhao Rong and said, ”Zhao Rong, now I finally get it. I see why so many stunning women adore you and are willing to give you anything… You’re a top tycoon who’s amazing at making money. On top of that, you’re a grateful, kind, and generous person who helps others.”
