Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Just as Zhao Rong gave up chasing the assassin, He Yanming, the man he had just saved, spoke up, ”Zhao Rong, don’t chase him. I’ll tell you everything…”

Zhao Rong froze, staring at him in disbelief. ”He Yanming, weren’t you just about to kill yourself rather than reveal the mastermind? Why the sudden change of heart?”

He Yanming paused, his eyes welling with tears. ”Because you saved my life. And because those monsters… even when I was ready to die to protect their secret, they still wouldn’t let me go. They actually sent an assassin with darts to kill me. So, I’ve seen them for what they are. I’ll tell you everything you want to know.”

Hearing this, the assistant became visibly excited. ”We’ve searched high and low for so long! We’re finally going to get the answers we need from you today.”

Xuelian also nodded. Looking at He Yanming, she said, ”Those who commit many injustices are doomed to destroy themselves. If you associate with villains, you will eventually die at their hands.”

Lili also reminded him, ”You should turn away from this dark path and confess everything. It’s the only way to protect yourself.”

Yu Lan added, looking at He Yanming, ”You should confess quickly. If you do, we might still be able to guarantee your safety.”

He Yanming gritted his teeth and nodded. ”I was blind. I chose the wrong side and conspired with those villains to bully good people like you. I’ll now tell you who the mastermind is…”

With that, He Yanming told Zhao Rong’s group the entire story behind the kidnappings.

It turned out that the day Zhao Rong, the assistant, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian had first arrived at the sports academy, they had been spotted by the corporate spy, Lu Xiaoqiang. While evading Zhao Rong’s pursuit, Lu Xiaoqiang was also scheming to take down the group one by one. Although he successfully kidnapped the assistant, Lili, and Yu Lan, he had never anticipated that Zhao Rong’s abilities would far exceed his imagination.

When Zhao Rong rescued his companions one by one, deftly avoiding all the traps, Lu Xiaoqiang finally realized what a formidable opponent he was facing.

Upon learning that the mastermind behind the kidnappings was indeed the corporate spy Lu Xiaoqiang, Zhao Rong stared intently at He Yanming. ”Based on what you’re saying, Lu Xiaoqiang must be hiding here at our school, disguised as someone we know. How else could he have known our movements so clearly?”

He Yanming nodded. ”That’s right. The day you arrived at the sports academy, Lu Xiaoqiang had already locked onto you.”

Lili anxiously interjected, ”He Yanming, hurry up and tell us! Who is Lu Xiaoqiang?”

Gritting his teeth, He Yanming said, ”Lu Xiaoqiang is none other than Instructor Li Xiaogang, the counselor who welcomed you.”

The group was stunned into silence.

Zhao Rong looked at He Yanming, unable to process the news. ”It can’t be… The culprit we’ve been searching for has been right beside us this whole time?”

The assistant took a step forward, his face a mask of disbelief. ”You could beat me to death, and I’d never have guessed that Li Xiaogang was the corporate spy Lu Xiaoqiang.”

Lili sighed deeply. ”This Lu Xiaoqiang… his acting is just too convincing. I never would have suspected that Li Xiaogang was actually him.”

Yu Lan took a photo of Lu Xiaoqiang from her bag and compared it to her memory of Li Xiaogang. ”He must have had extensive plastic surgery. Otherwise, the two of them wouldn’t look so different.”

Xuelian asked with concern, ”He Yanming, since you’re saying Li Xiaogang is Lu Xiaoqiang, what evidence do you have to prove it?”

Hearing this, He Yanming managed a faint smile and pulled a USB drive from his pocket.

Zhao Rong eyed the drive and asked with surprise, ”What’s on this?”

He Yanming casually grabbed a laptop from a nearby cabinet, plugged in the USB drive, and explained, ”This drive contains the complete video of Lu Xiaoqiang’s plastic surgery at the nearby Liren Hospital, right before he enrolled at the sports academy.”

The assistant stared in disbelief. ”He Yanming, you’re the president of the Martial Arts Club and one of Li Xiaogang’s lackeys. How did you get your hands on such crucial evidence?”

As He Yanming clicked through the drive’s contents, he explained, ”I was coerced by Li Xiaogang into joining his criminal organization. To ensure I had a way out, I made a special trip to Liren Hospital. I got the surveillance footage from their system and saved all the evidence of Lu Xiaoqiang’s crimes, including his plastic surgery, onto this drive.”

Hearing of He Yanming’s foresight, Lili stepped closer to the laptop. ”Thank goodness you saved this evidence of Li Xiaogang’s surgery. Otherwise, we’d have no way to prove our case against that heinous criminal.”

He Yanming nodded as he opened the files. ”No matter what you do, you should always leave yourself an escape route. Besides, I’m a cautious person; how could I not save evidence of Lu Xiaoqiang’s crimes? I was afraid that one day he’d decide I was useless and try to kill me to keep me quiet. If that happened, I planned to release this evidence to the public. At the very least, it would be enough to send him to prison.”

But before He Yanming could finish his sentence, Zhao Rong glanced at the screen and exclaimed, ”He Yanming, why is your USB drive full of movies starring Yui Hatano, Sora Aoi, Maria Ozawa, and Ran Muto?”

Realizing he’d clicked on the wrong file, He Yanming quickly closed the video. ”My apologies,” he said, flustered. ”Wrong file. Just a moment…”

He quickly clicked on another file, this time opening the video evidence of Lu Xiaoqiang’s surgery.

The footage clearly showed Lu Xiaoqiang’s original face. After undergoing surgery at Liren Hospital, he was instantly transformed into the man they knew as Li Xiaogang.

Watching this, Zhao Rong felt a sense of disbelief. ”He Yanming, isn’t plastic surgery supposed to be a long process? Someone who just had surgery should have their face swollen and wrapped in bandages. But this Lu Xiaoqiang was completely transformed right after the procedure at Liren Hospital. There are no bandages, no swelling, not even any visible incisions.”

He Yanming explained, ”Zhao Rong, you may not know this, but Liren Hospital is the best plastic surgery hospital in Xijing City. They use the most advanced techniques, guaranteeing a complete transformation in a single day, with absolutely no swelling or visible wounds. That’s how Lu Xiaoqiang became Li Xiaogang in just one day.”

Zhao Rong was amazed to hear that the surgery at Liren Hospital was so advanced.

As he was taking this in, the assistant suddenly pointed at another person in the video. ”Hey, look! Isn’t that Huang Xiaojuan from our school?”

At the mention of her name, He Yanming continued his explanation. ”Actually, Huang Xiaojuan is also one of Li Xiaogang’s accomplices. That’s not her real name, and her face has also been altered by plastic surgery.”

Hearing that Huang Xiaojuan was an accomplice, Zhao Rong quickly asked, ”What’s her real name?”

He Yanming fast-forwarded the footage. ”Huang Xiaojuan may appear to be a woman now, but he used to be a man named Lu Xiaogang.”

With that, he played the before-and-after footage of Lu Xiaogang’s transformation. Zhao Rong watched in shock as a brutish, hideously ugly man appeared on the screen. After undergoing cosmetic and gender-affirming surgery at Liren Hospital, this burly, ugly man became the beautiful woman they knew as Huang Xiaojuan.

At the sight of this, Zhao Rong turned away and retched. ”Oh my god… I was actually captivated by Huang Xiaojuan on the athletic field. I can’t believe his true form is such a grotesque man. It’s sickening!”

”At this point, the only thing that impresses me is Liren Hospital,” the assistant said, shaking his head. ”How are they so incredible? They can turn an ugly man into a beautiful woman, and a short guy into a handsome, wealthy Adonis…”

When Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian found out that Huang Xiaojuan was actually a man, they immediately started teasing Zhao Rong. ”Zhao Rong, it’s a good thing we keep such a close eye on you. If you’d given in to temptation and gone on a date with this Huang Xiaojuan, imagine the rude awakening you’d have had…”

The three women’s words sent a chill down Zhao Rong’s spine. He shuddered with belated fear. ”Thank god I managed to control myself during that ’date’ with Huang Xiaojuan at the foot massage parlor. Otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable…”

As Zhao Rong was reeling from this, He Yanming pointed to another woman in the video. ”Look. In Lu Xiaoqiang’s gang, besides Lu Xiaoqiang and Lu Xiaogang, there was another key figure. Her nickname was the ’Weightlifting Woman.’”

Hearing this name, the assistant’s eyes widened, and he stared intently at the screen. ”No way… Is my girlfriend also a member of their criminal group?”

When He Yanming heard the assistant call the Weightlifting Woman his girlfriend, he couldn’t help but gag. He looked at the assistant and said, ”No way… you were also fooled by a man who was turned into a woman?”

The moment the assistant heard that the Weightlifting Woman had also been a man, he fainted on the spot. Foaming at the mouth, he stammered in horror, ”No… It can’t be! The Weightlifting Woman is a man, too? If I’d known he was a man, I never would have gone to that hotel… with him…”
