Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Just as Zhao Rong was bracing for a major showdown with the approaching Toad Demon Principal and his Four Notorious Delinquents, the principal suddenly drew near, beaming.

He smiled at Zhao Rong and said, ”Little security guard, do you remember me? We have, after all, dealt with each other before…” Patting Zhao Rong’s shoulder, he continued, ”Not only did you help me catch ghosts in the laboratory building, but you also went to my house and cured my daughter of breast cancer. So, I came here today specifically to thank you.”

Seeing how the Toad Demon Principal’s expression could change faster than one could flip through a book, Zhao Rong remained vigilant and replied with a smile, ”Principal, I’m surprised you still remember the good deeds this humble security guard did for you.”

The tall Toad Demon Principal draped an arm over Zhao Rong’s shoulders and began walking with him. ”Since you’ve helped me so much, you might as well go all the way and help me one last time.”

Hearing the principal ask for his help, a completely baffled Zhao Rong said, ”Principal, for a man as capable as you, what could a mere security guard like me possibly help with?”

At this, the Toad Demon Principal chuckled. He suddenly turned his head, a murderous glint in his eyes as he looked at Zhao Rong. ”Recently, a certain Dark Phantom has decided he wants my position as principal. He even wants to kill me and take my place. Are you aware of this matter?” He then put on a pitiful act. ”Little security guard, you don’t understand. That Dark Phantom has had his eyes on my position for a long time. He’s been spreading rumors and fabricating lies behind my back, all to usurp my place.”

It was clear the Toad Demon Principal had realized that the Dark Phantom had returned and had already allied himself with Zhao Rong.

Facing the Toad Demon Principal, Zhao Rong just smiled faintly, feigning ignorance. ”Is that so? Who would be so audacious as to covet your position as principal? Even if this person wanted to be the principal of Xijing University, does he possess your mathematical calculation and physics analysis skills?”

With that, Zhao Rong grabbed a blackboard from a nearby dormitory. He wrote out Einstein’s equations and the Goldbach Conjecture, which the Dark Phantom had previously analyzed, and challenged the Toad Demon Principal to solve them. Zhao Rong clearly wanted to test the man’s abilities. If he could solve Einstein’s equations and then prove the Goldbach Conjecture, then Zhao Rong might have to reconsider who was the real principal and who was the fake.

But when the Toad Demon Principal was faced with the equations and the conjecture, he was utterly stumped. Although he didn’t understand a single mathematical theorem or physics formula, he pretended he did, puffing out his chest to save face. ”These equations and this conjecture are child’s play for me. If I were to solve them, I’d only need a few dozen seconds. But as a principal, how could I stoop to doing the work of a low-level professor? So, little security guard, I won’t be showing off my superpowers in front of you today.”

Listening to him, Zhao Rong could see right through the bluff; the man had no idea what he was doing. At the same time, it confirmed what the Dark Phantom had said: the principal standing before him was a complete and utter fake.

Watching the Toad Demon Principal’s pretentious act, Zhao Rong said sarcastically, ”Principal, you truly are profound. You never show off your skills. Such a low-key person.”

The Toad Demon Principal chuckled. ”Little security guard, I came here today to invite you to join my team.”

Hearing the invitation, Zhao Rong glanced at the Four Notorious Delinquents standing behind him and said bluntly, ”Principal, the four great masters behind you are already quite formidable. Is there really a need to recruit a mere security guard like me?”

The Toad Demon Principal turned to look at the four behind him, then frowned. ”These four are a bunch of useless gluttons.”

Zhao Rong fanned the flames. ”Gluttons? That’s putting it mildly. They’re four complete idiots.”

When the Four Notorious Delinquents saw Zhao Rong, they couldn’t help but remember the beating he had given them in the laboratory building. They trailed timidly behind the principal, not daring to utter a word.

After trying to win Zhao Rong over for some time and realizing he had no intention of colluding with him, the Toad Demon Principal finally showed his true colors. He threatened, ”Little security guard, I’ll give you two choices. Join my team and fight the Dark Phantom with me, and I guarantee you’ll thrive in this school, stand out from the crowd, and even gain wealth and honor. However, if you oppose me, I can’t guarantee you won’t just mysteriously disappear from this school one day.”

Unaffected by the threat, Zhao Rong shot back forcefully, ”Principal, if you have what it takes to make me disappear, then by all means, bring it on. I’m just worried that the one who disappears won’t be me, but you.”

Seeing Zhao Rong was unintimidated, the Toad Demon Principal dropped all pretense. ”Just you wait, little security guard. One day, you’ll regret this.”

With that, he and the Four Notorious Delinquents stormed off.

Watching the principal’s retreating figure, Zhao Rong sneered, ”You toad. One day, I’ll expose you for what you really are.”

He then turned and headed back to his dormitory. Upon entering, he was surprised to see the Dark Phantom, who had once again appeared with a pile of herbs.

Seeing the uninvited guest, Zhao Rong was overjoyed. ”Dark Phantom! I was just looking for you! Quick, give me the antidote! Help the Assistant and Miss Lili undergo the Soul Exchange!”

The Dark Phantom, busy dividing the herbs into two piles, said, ”Sigh, Zhao Rong, I really don’t know what to say to you. I warned you again and again not to give them the wrong medicine, but you did it anyway. Now look at the mess. The man has become a woman, and the woman has become a man.”

Knowing it was his fault, Zhao Rong hung his head in guilt. ”Dark Phantom, I’ve already made a huge mistake. How can I fix it?”

The Dark Phantom pointed to the two piles of herbs on the ground. ”What else can we do? We have to continue with the alchemy, of course.”

Hearing the word ”alchemy,” Zhao Rong immediately took out his pressure cooker and a fierce fire. ”I’m already an old hand at alchemy,” he said happily. ”As long as Miss Lili and the Assistant can get their original bodies back, I’ll be satisfied.”

With that, Zhao Rong got ready to begin the Demon Refining.

Seeing him prepare, the Dark Phantom offered a reminder. ”A Soul Exchange isn’t as easy as simple alchemy. You must make them achieve a complete and harmonious integration for the exchange to succeed.”

Hearing the phrase ”complete and harmonious integration” made Zhao Rong scratch the back of his head.

My God, what does that mean? Does it mean the Assistant and Miss Lili have to... do it?
