Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Hector’s third palm strike and Zhao Rong’s shotgun blast went off at the same instant.

BANG!

The shotgun in Zhao Rong’s hands unleashed a spray of hundreds of pellets, turning Hector into a human sieve. Just moments before, Hector had been smugly thinking he could kill Zhao Rong with a single punch. He was caught completely off guard and knocked to the ground by the force of the blast.

Lying on the ground and barely clinging to life, Hector gasped, ”You little security guard… we’re in a martial arts duel. Why would you use a gun?”

Zhao Rong looked down at the fallen man, nonchalantly blowing the white smoke from the barrel of his shotgun. ”What’s the problem? We are having a duel, but you never said guns weren’t allowed, did you?”

Hearing this, Hector was floored. He stared weakly at Zhao Rong and said, ”You... you really know how to put on an act! Bringing a gun to a duel? If I had known you had a gun, I never would have clashed with you head-on…” His words trailed off as a wave of pain from his wounds made it impossible to speak.

When Tao Hua saw that Zhao Rong had taken Hector down with a single shot, she exclaimed in surprise, ”Brother Zhao Rong, guns are normally forbidden in duels. Isn’t that against the rules?”

As the half-dead Hector heard Tao Hua call the little security guard ”Zhao Rong,” he was utterly shocked. Mustering the last of his strength, he stared at Zhao Rong in astonishment. ”What? Little security guard… don’t tell me you’re the prodigy from the True Martial Sect, the martial arts genius, Zhao Rong?”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong felt there was no reason to hide his identity from a gravely injured man. ”That’s right,” he said. ”I am Zhao Rong.” With that, he took off his security cap, revealing his true face.

When Hector saw that the little security guard was indeed the young genius of the True Martial Sect, he was so startled he almost pissed himself. ”Zhao Rong! Aren’t you supposed to be the Sect Leader of the True Martial Sect? Why are you working as a security guard at West Well University?”

As he spoke, a whirlwind of thoughts flooded Hector’s mind. This makes no sense! Who would be foolish enough to give up being a Sect Leader to become a security guard? Could it be… he did it just to fool me? To lure me here, pretending to be weak to ambush and kill me?

At this realization, Hector couldn’t help but give Zhao Rong a thumbs-up. ”Zhao Rong, now I get it. You are deeply cunning, always planning ahead, insidiously clever, and possess a terrifying intellect… If I’d known you were the Sect Leader of the True Martial Sect, I would never have recklessly challenged you. But you disguised yourself as a security guard to trick me into a duel, then used a hidden shotgun to gravely injure me!”

”Zhao Rong, you’re vicious! You’re so vicious! You’re vicious, vicious, vicious, vi—” Hector’s voice rose with a crazed energy as he suddenly burst into a horribly off-key rendition of Jacky Cheung’s song, ”You’re Vicious.”

Zhao Rong couldn’t take it anymore and cut him off. ”Hector, I’m warning you. People get paid to sing, but your singing could kill someone. You’d better shut up, or I won’t be so polite.”

Heeding the warning, Hector immediately clamped his mouth shut and began begging for mercy. ”Zhao Rong, since you’ve already crippled me, can’t you be the bigger man and let me go?”

Zhao Rong had never actually intended to kill Hector with the shotgun; he was only acting in self-defense. ”Don’t be scared, Hector. I’m a kind person at heart,” he said. ”I’m not going to kill you. In fact, I’m going to call an ambulance to take you to the hospital right now…” As he spoke, Zhao Rong reached into his pocket for his phone.

Lying on the ground half-dead, Hector heard that Zhao Rong was actually going to spare him and laughed inwardly. What a complete idiot! If you let me go this time, I swear I’ll come back and take your life…

However, before Hector could finish his thought, Zhao Rong fumbled while pulling out his phone. The loaded shotgun slipped from his grasp and clattered to the ground. The impact hit the firing pin.

BANG!

The gun went off by accident, the blast hitting the prone Hector with deadly accuracy. Once again, he was riddled with holes.

Seeing his gun go off and hit Hector again, Zhao Rong broke out in a cold sweat. He quickly knelt beside the man to apologize. ”Hector, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to shoot you! I just accidentally dropped the gun while getting my phone…”

Before Zhao Rong could finish, Hector’s eyes fluttered open. With his final breath, he muttered, ”Zhao Rong… I’ve seen people put on an act… but I’ve never seen anyone as good at it as you… You wanted me dead all along and just kept making up excuses… You even deliberately dropped your gun… You had it loaded and ready, then intentionally threw it at me, making sure it would hit me…”

Halfway through his sentence, Hector’s eyes slammed shut, and he breathed his last.

Seeing that Hector was gone, Zhao Rong quickly called an ambulance, had him sent to the hospital, and even paid the medical fees in advance.

When the surrounding crowd saw the little security guard defeat Hector, the number one warrior of the Wild Wolf Sect, they gasped in amazement.

A young man selling popsicles said, ”Wow, the True Martial Sect is unbelievably strong! Even one of their security guards can beat the top expert of the Wild Wolf Sect. It looks like the True Martial Sect dominating the martial world is only a matter of time.”

An older woman selling shoe insoles stared at Zhao Rong’s slender frame. ”It seems that fighting prowess has nothing to do with height or weight. This little security guard is as thin as a rail and not very tall, yet he defeated a powerful enemy. He’s incredible!”

「That evening.」

Tao Hua hosted a feast for Zhao Rong. Her two female disciples, however, were feeling crafty. They planned to get Zhao Rong drunk and push him into the same room as their master.

Tao Hua’s first disciple, Xiao Jing, was a tall, fair-skinned girl who was instantly captivating. Her second disciple, Wei Ying, though only eighteen, was known for her youthful face and bountiful...

Xiao Jing glanced at their master and then whispered to Wei Ying, ”Wei Ying, haven’t you figured out what our master truly wants?”

Wei Ying looked over at Tao Hua, then back at Xiao Jing. ”Xiao Jing, Master Tao Hua has been so good to us. As her disciples, we have to look out for her. Since she has a secret crush on Hero Zhao Rong, we should do everything we can to help them get together.”

Xiao Jing nodded. ”You’re right. I think our master is secretly in love with Hero Zhao Rong, but it doesn’t seem like he feels the same way about her. So, tonight, we need to get him drunk and create an opportunity for Master Tao Hua to make the situation irreversible. It’s the only way she can win him over…”

Wei Ying thought Xiao Jing’s plan was brilliant. She immediately picked up a jug of wine and, together with Xiao Jing, walked toward Zhao Rong. ”Sister Xiao Jing, you’re right,” Wei Ying declared. ”We absolutely must help our master and Hero Zhao Rong seal the deal.”

With that, the two beautiful disciples approached Zhao Rong with the jug of aged wine. At that moment, Zhao Rong was genuinely famished and was tearing into a large piece of meat. When the two beauties reached him, they were taken aback by how voraciously he was eating.

Xiao Jing whispered to Wei Ying, ”Has Hero Zhao Rong never eaten meat before? He’s eating like a wild animal.”

Wei Ying, however, found his vigor appealing. Licking her lips, she said, ”A man should be like this—passionate. I like it.”

Hearing this, Xiao Jing immediately shot her a warning glance. ”Wei Ying, Hero Zhao Rong is meant for Master Tao Hua. Don’t you go getting any ideas.”

”Sister Xiao Jing, don’t misunderstand!” Wei Ying quickly explained. ”I was just briefly fantasizing about Hero Zhao Rong tearing our clothes off with his teeth, that’s all. I wasn’t really having any improper thoughts.”

Xiao Jing took a sharp breath. ”What an imagination…” she muttered. After a moment, she also found herself watching Zhao Rong devour his food. If I were to be pinned down by a hero like him, a virile man like that could definitely make me reach the highest…

Zhao Rong, busy gnawing on a lamb leg, suddenly sensed two women standing behind him and glanced over his shoulder. When his eyes landed on Xiao Jing’s long, slender legs, he unconsciously licked his lips. Then his gaze shifted to Wei Ying standing next to her, noting her youthful face and bountiful... He drew in a sharp breath.

Back at the True Martial Sect, the women were few and plain. How is it that the moment I leave, I’m surrounded by beauties? They either have long, fair legs or youthful, ample figures…

Just as Zhao Rong was lamenting his ill-timed fate, Xiao Jing stepped forward, showcasing her lovely legs. ”Hero Zhao Rong,” she cooed, ”I am Xiao Jing, a female disciple of the True Martial Sect. I’ve heard of your great fame for a long time. Seeing you today, I can say you truly live up to your reputation…” As she spoke, she poured him a cup of wine. ”Hero Zhao Rong, allow me, Xiao Jing, to offer you a toast.”

Seeing the leggy beauty offering him a drink, Zhao Rong promptly accepted it. ”Thank you, beautiful,” he said as he drank. ”But really, I’m no hero. Just an ordinary guy.”

The moment Zhao Rong finished, Wei Ying stepped forward, pushing out her chest, and offered him another toast. ”Hero Zhao Rong, you truly are a dragon among men. We girls find you irresistible. So, I, Wei Ying, would also like to propose a toast to you.”

Zhao Rong’s eyes lingered on Wei Ying’s impressive figure as he drank. These two beauties came out of nowhere to toast me one after another. And there’s a strange look in their eyes… Can it be that they’re interested in me? Do they want to… spend the night with me?

While he was still uncertain of their intentions, Xiao Jing suddenly poured him two more cups. ”Hero Zhao Rong, since you’ve returned home in glory, you should drink your fill! Even if you get drunk, it’s fine. We’ll take you to a nice place to stay…”

Wei Ying stood beside her, smiling seductively at him. ”Hero Zhao Rong, you’ll be very happy with the place we take you. You’ll definitely be willing to go. Most importantly, you’re guaranteed to have an exciting and wonderful night…”

When Zhao Rong heard them say it was fine if he got drunk and that they would take him to a ”nice place,” a thought immediately crystallized in his mind. Have these two beauties fallen for me? Is that why they’re flirting with me, trying to get me drunk so they can take me to a hotel?
