Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 214: Chapter 182: What are you waiting for? Go chase after this diamond bachelor! (Part 2)

”Daughter, what are you waiting for? Go chase after that diamond bachelor...” As soon as she finished speaking, the principal’s wife took off after the Maybach Zhao Rong was driving. While chasing the car, she yelled, ”Young security guard, I want to marry my daughter to you! Please don’t look down on her!”

Although the principal’s wife was shouting frantically behind him, Zhao Rong’s car had already vanished into the bustling morning traffic.

「An hour later.」

Zhao Rong arrived at the True Martial Sect. When he got out of his car, he looked at the sect before him and remarked with a surge of emotion, ”The True Martial Sect... a place where I once strived and loved... but never took the final step.”

Just as Zhao Rong reached the gate and was about to enter, a young gatekeeper suddenly blocked his path. ”Hey, security guard,” he said, ”our True Martial Sect doesn’t allow security guards inside.”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Rong immediately took out the various certificates of honor he had earned during his time there. When the young gatekeeper saw that the man in the security uniform was actually a senior from the sect, he snapped to attention, saluted, and waved him through.

After watching Zhao Rong walk into the True Martial Sect, the gatekeeper couldn’t help but wonder. Is becoming a security guard the only option after graduating from a sacred ground of cultivation like this? If the prospects are so bleak, why did my parents send me here to train? I’m definitely not becoming a security guard when I graduate, earning just over a thousand yuan a month...

With this thought, the True Martial Sect disciple on gate duty promptly abandoned his post and skipped out.

Zhao Rong walked past the dormitories and teaching buildings, arriving at the training grounds. He knew that he just had to cross the grounds to begin the climb up the mountain. Sect Leader Tao Hua’s residence was at the very peak.

However, as he was crossing the field, he spotted a familiar face. It was Hu Jie, the same man Zhao Rong had once beaten and humiliated, now strolling around with three beautiful women: Xiao Lan, Xiao Hong, and Ah Zi.

When Hu Jie saw Zhao Rong in his security uniform not far away, he immediately started showing off for the women. ”Xiao Lan, Xiao Hong, Ah Zi, do you believe that I, Hu Jie, can walk over there and knock that pathetic security guard flat with a single punch?”

After he spoke, he thought to himself, Damn it, where did this security guard come from, wandering around campus? He’s practically asking for a beating.

Xiao Lan looked at the short, slender security guard in the distance and said to Hu Jie, ”A strong man like you, Big Brother Hu Jie? Taking care of him would be a piece of cake.”

Xiao Hong smiled. ”I just love watching you bully people, Big Brother Hu Jie. I find it especially thrilling when you pick on the poor and those at the bottom of society.”

Ah Zi chimed in with a playful smirk, ”Big Brother Hu Jie, you’re a Level 10 cultivator. Beating up some ordinary security guard would be as easy as taking candy from a baby.”

With that, all three women looked on, certain that Hu Jie would give the security guard a brutal thrashing. Hearing their flattery, Hu Jie laughed. ”You three really get me. You know how much I love to pick on the weak...”

Chuckling, Hu Jie started walking toward Zhao Rong.

When Zhao Rong saw Hu Jie approaching, he gave him a friendly wave. ”Hey, long time no see.”

Apparently, Hu Jie’s recent obsession with his phone had severely worsened his nearsightedness. His hearing was also seriously damaged from listening to music on his earphones all the time. He clearly didn’t recognize that the man in the security uniform was Zhao Rong, the former king of the True Martial Sect. As Hu Jie got closer, he gestured to the women nearby. ”Watch closely. I’m going to show you how to beat this little security guard to a pulp.”

Just as Zhao Rong extended his hand for a friendly handshake, Hu Jie clenched his fist and threw a punch straight at his face.

Completely unprepared for the unprovoked attack, Zhao Rong didn’t hesitate. He grabbed Hu Jie’s fist, twisted it backward, and shattered his right wrist in a comminuted fracture. ”Damn it,” Zhao Rong growled, ”I was offering you a handshake, and you fucking hit me.”

Hu Jie had thrown the punch fully intending to give the security guard a black eye, but he never expected the guard to not only catch his fist but also break his right hand. Writhing in pain, Hu Jie collapsed and rolled on the ground twice before staggering back to his feet. ”You... security guard... Who the hell are you? How are you so strong?”

Zhao Rong took off his hat, looked Hu Jie in the eye, and said simply, ”I’m Zhao Rong.”

With that, he launched a sharp front kick, instantly fracturing seven of Hu Jie’s ribs. Hu Jie, his right hand already broken, had no time to react before the new wave of agony hit him. He collapsed to the ground, his face contorting in pain. ”Zhao Rong? Weren’t you supposed to be at Xijing University for advanced studies? Why are you back at the True Martial Sect... wearing a security uniform?”

He then thought with deep regret, If I had known this was Zhao Rong, I wouldn’t have tried to show off for a million yuan. Now look at me. I failed to act tough and got beaten half to death for it.

Zhao Rong stepped forward and kicked Hu Jie’s left leg. ”I’m a security guard at Xijing University, not there for any advanced studies. By the way, you should learn to watch who you’re messing with. Stop trying to build your happiness on the suffering of others. As Confucius said, ’Do not do to others what you would not want done to yourself.’ Got it?”

With that, Zhao Rong strode away.

Watching his retreating figure, Hu Jie wailed in agony, ”Zhao Rong, you must have planned this! You disguised yourself as an insignificant security guard to lure me in and beat me up! You’re not just ruthless, you’re cunning and a master of putting on an act...”

Saying this, Hu Jie fainted.

Not far away, Xiao Hong, Xiao Lan, and Ah Zi gasped in shock as they watched their champion, who had set out to be a bully, get brutally beaten instead.

「Meanwhile.」

Tao Hua was in her room, on a video call with her father. His wife, a Ukrainian beauty named Christina, looked at Tao Hua and said in broken Chinese, ”Tao Hua, I have a younger sister named Aliona. She is studying at Xijing University in your Xijing City. Do you know her?”

Just as Zhao Rong reached the doorway of Tao Hua’s room, his phone buzzed with a WeChat message from Aliona.

”Zhao Rong,” the message read, ”my sister Christina told me she married the Sect Leader of the True Martial Sect. Do you know him?”
