Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 980: Chapter 976: Fell into the Vinegar Vat

Opening the box, seeing the seven or eight pieces of scrap iron inside, Huo Sining suddenly remembered, wasn’t this the box she bought from the Samurai Sword Shop?

She was at a bit of a loss, suddenly thinking that there seemed to be some significance to a certain iron sword among this scrap metal.

She reached out to pull the iron sword out, Huo Sining swung it a few times in her hand, the sword was rusty and had repair marks, but the dense purple aura enveloping the sword couldn’t be concealed.

Moreover, Huo Sining remembered, on that day she used the Heavenly Eye Skill, the sword’s internal blade was sharp and gleaming, proving the sword was a Precious Sword not easily found.

However, how to remove the rust was still a problem. Huo Sining thought for a while, felt that perhaps only her master could handle it, so she wrapped the sword haphazardly with a T-shirt, tied it tightly with a rope, and carried the sword through the alley, directly heading toward the street.

The car from Jubao Pavilion had already been returned, so Huo Sining could only hail a taxi to the Zhou Family.

It was noon, and she was on one of the busiest snack streets in the Imperial Capital. The street was not wide, the bidirectional lanes had vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians weaving through, causing exceptional congestion.

Cars on the road moved slowly, many pedestrians directly crossed through the traffic, and Huo Sining wanted to cross to hail a taxi on the opposite side, so she planned to weave through the road following those pedestrians. But she had just taken a few steps when an electric tricycle suddenly dashed out from the side.

The tricycle was clearly trying to overtake through a gap, not fast, but Huo Sining was already halfway across the road when the electric vehicle came over, almost in the blink of an eye, it was in front of Huo Sining.

Huo Sining’s mind reacted quickly, almost instantly realizing, swiftly dodging the tricycle, but the iron sword wrapped in the T-shirt in her hand directly collided with a corner of the tricycle. The electric vehicle was fast, causing Huo Sining to subconsciously loosen her grip, and the package flew out.

The one riding the electric vehicle was a middle-aged man, he had traveled this road countless times, familiar with it, so he tried to weave through the traffic to save time, but didn’t expect to scrape against someone.

Seeing he almost hit Huo Sining, the middle-aged man braked urgently and stopped, turning back nervously to Huo Sining: ”Miss, I’m sorry, I drove too hastily and didn’t notice you, are you okay? Are you hurt?”

Huo Sining quickly shook her head indicating she was fine. The middle-aged man saw she really wasn’t hurt, was relieved, ready to drive away. But unexpectedly, at that moment, a hand suddenly reached out and tightly grabbed the tail box of his car.

Turning back, the middle-aged man saw it was Huo Sining holding his car, he froze, half a second later realizing what might be happening, instantly changed his expression, coldly glaring at Huo Sining:

”I say, Miss, things shouldn’t go like this? You’re fine, I didn’t say anything, I have the responsibility for driving fast, you’re responsible for crossing hastily, but if you’re going to pin it on me, that’s not fair!”

Huo Sining was at a loss, realizing the middle-aged man misunderstood, thinking she was one of those scammers trying to extort him, hurriedly explained:

”No, sir, don’t misunderstand, I’m not looking to cause trouble for you, it’s just, I have something that seemed to have fallen into your car’s rear bucket.”

”Ah?” The middle-aged man heard this, turned back, seeing the lid of a stainless steel bucket on his car’s rear drag box was knocked loose, revealing a gap. Probably the lid wasn’t closed tightly, jolting along the way, causing the lid to shake open.

Pointing at the bucket, Huo Sining said: ”I was holding a cloth package, it bumped into your car, and the package flew into your stainless steel bucket.”

Huo Sining was about to climb to the rear box to retrieve her item from the stainless steel bucket, but seeing her action, the intermediate-aged man’s expression changed drastically, quickly rushing down to stop her: ”No!”

Huo Sining raised her head, puzzled, looking at the intermediate-aged man, he nervously said: ”Young lady, be careful, my bucket contains high concentration acetic acid, it’s corrosive, you might lose a layer of skin if you reach in with your delicate hands!”

Huo Sining was startled, noticing liquid splashed on the knocked-open stainless steel bucket lid.

Feeling a bit helpless, Huo Sining urgently looked at the middle-aged man: ”Sir, what can we do now? My item fell inside, can it be retrieved?”

The middle-aged man glanced at Huo Sining, annoyed: ”I haven’t even mentioned you ruined my whole tank of vinegar, I bought this to mix with edible vinegar, now it’s wasted.”

”Ah.” Huo Sining showed an embarrassed expression, acknowledging she was at fault, ”I’m truly sorry, sir. I’ll compensate for the loss, but can you think of a way to help me retrieve that item?”

The middle-aged man considered, confirmed Huo Sining wasn’t lying, his impression of her improved, and his attitude softened: ”What did you drop?”

Huo Sining didn’t hide: ”Just a sword I picked up on the street, not sure if it’s genuine, wrapped in a T-shirt.”

”A young lady playing with swords? That’s unique.”

The middle-aged man was somewhat surprised but didn’t dwell on it. Conveniently, the congested traffic began to move, and the middle-aged man didn’t delay further, nodded to Huo Sining, saying:

”Come with me then, I have to transport this vinegar to the shop. At the shop, we’ll pour the vinegar out to retrieve your sword. If you’re not in a hurry, follow me, my shop is about ten minutes away.”

Unable to think of a better plan, Huo Sining saw the middle-aged man didn’t seem to fool her, agreed, hopped onto the man’s vehicle, and they arrived at a West Mountain Noodle Shop after a bumpy ride.

Just as the vehicle stopped, a middle-aged woman rushed out from the shop, looking anxious and reproachful: ”Where have you been? Took so long for a load of vinegar?”

The middle-aged man scratched his head, embarrassed: ”Traffic jam on the road, got delayed.”
