Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 960: Chapter 956: Fabricated Senior Brother

Huo Sining’s words left Ouyang Jun speechless, even though he was half sceptical about what Huo Sining said. At this moment, he couldn’t think of a better solution.

”Do you truly have connections? Don’t blame me for not telling you in advance, but this time Song Xiaochen is dealing with people from the underworld in Dongyang. Even the big fishes specializing in smuggling over there can’t do anything. How confident are you?”

Ouyang Jun is a cautious man. On one hand, he feared that if he entrusted these machine tools to Huo Sining and things didn’t work out, the machines might be lost. On the other hand, he was worried about Huo Sining’s safety. After all, she was a young woman alone in foreign lands. If something happened, he couldn’t face Gu Xu or even himself.

So, he had to make sure of things. Otherwise, he wouldn’t let Huo Sining wade into this murky water.

Huo Sining was probably aware of Ouyang Jun’s concerns, so she might as well weave her lie to the end, embellishing it with more bizarre details as necessary.

”You should still remember, I mentioned before that while I was in Bashu, I acknowledged a mentor. My skills in fish farming and Qigong Massage were all taught by him, right?”

Instead of directly answering Ouyang Jun’s question, Huo Sining abruptly changed the topic, bringing up her so-called mentor.

As expected, upon hearing this, a thought flashed through Ouyang Jun’s mind, and he was instantly taken aback: ”You met your master in Dongyang?”

Huo Sining laughed: ”No, not at all. My master is like a cloud-wandering crane, prone to wandering. I haven’t seen the old man for many years.”

Ouyang Jun felt a sudden wave of disappointment. He always believed that Huo Sining’s legendary master must be like those portrayed in martial arts novels, a reclusive expert who wouldn’t usually meddle in mundane affairs. Such individuals must have extraordinary skills, and if he could get help from someone like that, his machine tool problem would be effortlessly solved.

”If you didn’t see your master, why did you bring him up?” Ouyang Jun was a bit frustrated.

Huo Sining chuckled: ”Though I didn’t meet my master, I ran into a senior brother of mine in Dongyang. With his help, I am at least ninety percent confident about your machine tool issue.”

Ouyang Jun’s emotions felt like a roller coaster, at one moment soaring to the sky, then plummeting to the depths, and suddenly racing back up again. He was grinning and tearing up in turns, making others in the office quite perplexed.

However, Ouyang Jun didn’t care about the strange looks from others. Right now, his mind was preoccupied with what Huo Sining had said about her senior brother in Dongyang, his expression full of excitement and eagerness:

”Really? Ninety percent confidence means it’s almost a done deal, right? What does your senior brother do? Can you introduce us? Or should I just come over to Dongyang, and meet him to discuss the machine tool matter properly?”

Ouyang Jun had long wanted to meet Huo Sining’s legendary master, but unfortunately, the master was always elusive, with only tales heard and no real sight. Now a senior brother suddenly emerged, and Ouyang Jun’s previously dormant desires were immediately rekindled.

If he couldn’t meet the master, meeting the senior brother would be just as good! His eyes brightened, eager to head straight to Dongyang to meet this legendary reclusive expert.

Unfortunately, Ouyang Jun’s hopes were destined to be unfulfilled. The master and senior brother were entirely fictional creations by Huo Sining, so how could she make them satisfy Ouyang Jun’s desires?

”No need. My senior brother is like my master, not fond of meeting outsiders. I’ll be the one to handle the machine tool matter. Just tell me the specifics about your machine tools, and once my senior brother is ready, have your colleague transport them out of the current warehouse. I’ll make arrangements on my end for someone to receive them.”

Huo Sining’s tone was not warm, professional and business-like, indicating she didn’t want Ouyang Jun having too much contact with her so-called senior brother.

Ouyang Jun paused, abruptly realizing that such reclusive sects might have some unspeakable codes and guidelines, so he refrained from asking further questions, just nodded helplessly:

”Alright then, I’ll leave the machine tool matter to you. Tell your senior brother I won’t shortchange him; a two million commission per machine tool is guaranteed without any deduction.”

Five machine tools would be ten million. Huo Sining originally intended to just help Ouyang Jun, without any thought of profiting off him. After all, transporting these machines into her storage ring was effortless for her. However, if she refused the offer, it might arouse Ouyang Jun’s suspicions. So when Ouyang Jun mentioned the commission, Huo Sining didn’t outright refuse.

”Let’s talk about the commission once the goods are safely back in the country. Rest assured, my senior brother will definitely think of a way for you, just wait a couple more days.”

Ouyang Jun’s previously gloomy face was now filled with a satisfied smile. Upon hearing Huo Sining’s words, he immediately responded:

”No hurry, I’ve waited for many months; a few more days are nothing. Tell your senior brother I absolutely won’t rush him. Safety first, he shouldn’t take unnecessary risks. You especially need to be careful, don’t get yourself into trouble.”

Feeling warmed by these words of concern, Huo Sining laughed: ”Naturally, we can’t lose both the lady and the soldiers for just this little matter of yours. Don’t worry, nothing will go wrong.”

With such good news from Huo Sining, Ouyang Jun was in high spirits. He stopped pacing restlessly in the office, immediately called Qin Tian to report the good news.

Receiving this call from Huo Sining was a pleasant surprise, as Ouyang Jun thought he’d have to wait for at least three or five days, but to his astonishment, Huo Sining called him again the following afternoon: ”Brother Ouyang, have your colleague transport the machine tools out of the warehouse tonight.”

Ouyang Jun’s heart skipped a beat, slightly astonished: ”So soon?”

On the other end of the line, Huo Sining chuckled: ”Coincidentally, there’s a ship heading back to the country. Have your people get the goods out and unload them in a safe place; I’ll arrange someone over here to take them.”

Ouyang Jun’s heart rate suddenly spiked, and he asked with some anxiety: ”Taking the sea route, will customs let it pass? How many days until we see the goods?”

Huo Sining laughed: ”My senior brother has already arranged everything, so you needn’t worry. Since we’re asking you to bring out the goods, rest assured they’ll be safe. The goods will depart from Dongdu Port the day after tomorrow, and it should take two days to return to the country. Wait four more days, and you’ll get what you’ve been waiting for.”
