Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 975: Chapter 971 Opening the Box to Inspect the Goods

”So soon?”

When Ouyang Jun received Huo Sining’s call, he was stunned. After realizing what she meant, Ouyang Jun was full of disbelief and asked in a highly skeptical tone: ”You’re not playing tricks on your big brother, are you? This joke isn’t funny!”

Huo Sining was speechless for a moment: ”Of course it’s real, delivered to the outskirts this afternoon. Contact your person to pick it up. I’m busy right now, I’ll send you the exact address later.”

Ouyang Jun was about to faint: ”It’s really been shipped back? Damn, I just heard the Dongdu side started lock-down two days ago. Both the airport and port customs are strictly inspecting. Is your senior a superhero? With such tight lockdown, how did he break through the encirclement? It’s unbelievable, did he get an escort from the Dongdu Self-Defense Forces?”

After hearing about the lock-down in Dongdu, Ouyang Jun was worried, thinking this time they would surely be doomed. Even if they weren’t caught by Dongdu, the machine tools wouldn’t be delivered anytime soon, possibly delayed for half a year.

Little did he know, before he had figured out the exact situation, Huo Sining said the items had already been shipped back, making Ouyang Jun feel like he was dreaming, somewhat unreal.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but laugh at Ouyang Jun’s words and rarely joked: ”Self-Defense Forces? They’re all busy with their own issues, where would they find time to escort us? Alright, get a truck quickly, those machine tools aren’t light. Back then, you reassured me they were small items, almost messed things up. I’ll contact you later.”

”Okay, okay, carry on with your tasks. I’ll call a truck right away.”

At this moment, Ouyang Jun was so happy he lost his bearings, hastily sought a truck driver, and reported the good news to Qin Tian and Song Xiaochen. Qin Tian and Song Xiaochen could hardly believe the machine tools were returned. Ouyang Jun was full of pride: ”Believe it or not, this afternoon I’ll unbox and inspect them!”

After placing a batch of not-so-valuable antiques she had acquired in Dongdu into the Jubao Pavilion, Huo Sining chatted with Li Quan, inquiring about the business situation the past month. She also asked about Qiao Zhenhuan’s work status and learned that lately, Qiao Zhenhuan was quite diligent in the shop, not as impulsive as Huo Sining had expected. Satisfied, she nodded and didn’t say more.

After lunch, Huo Sining drove the Jubao Pavilion’s car alone to the outskirts. Since those machine tools are not ordinary items, even in Huaxia, Huo Sining didn’t dare be careless. She cautiously picked a piece of wilderness in the outskirts, cautiously surveyed the area, and when she saw that the surroundings were blocked by bushes and hills with no passers-by, she relaxed, moved her thoughts, and released the five large cargo boxes from the storage ring.

About an hour later, Huo Sining was dozing in the car when she heard the distant sound of a truck approaching. The place Huo Sining had chosen was a road that branched off. Hearing the sound, she quickly called Ouyang Jun: ”Is it your truck coming?”

On the other end of the line, Ouyang Jun was also confused: ”Probably, we’re on a main road but it’s all mountains here. The address you gave us seems to be in the middle of nowhere, making us sweat all over and completely unable to determine the direction.”

Huo Sining chuckled: ”Well, being cautious is good. This stuff didn’t come through official routes, so staying safe is best. I’ve already seen your truck; just turn right after fifty meters and you’ll see my car.”

Ouyang Jun looked out the window and sure enough, he saw a BMW stationary in a mountain ravine not far away. Huo Sining was outside the car waving to him: ”Haha, boss, see? Over there, head that way!”

As soon as the truck stopped steadily, four people jumped off the truck at the back. Here, Ouyang Jun was already impatiently rushing toward Huo Sining. Seeing the five three-meter-high large cargo boxes standing prominently behind her car, amidst the bushes, he was instantly dazzled, his heart raced, his breath quickened gradually.

Without thinking, Ouyang Jun took long strides towards those boxes, stumbled over the bushes, and almost tripped over some vines. Yet, he didn’t care about his looks, excitedly reaching out to hug one of the cargo boxes as if embracing an extraordinary beauty.

”Alright, enough fooling around! Hurry and check the goods. After all the tossing and bumping along the way, who knows if there any issues!”

Seeing Ouyang Jun’s exaggerated demeanor, Huo Sining was unimpressed. She reached out and flicked his forehead to bring him back to reality.

Sure enough, this snapped Ouyang Jun back to his senses, realizing the urgency of inspecting the goods, and felt a bit embarrassed, quickly turning to the workers behind him: ”Help open the boxes quickly, Master He, could you please help inspect the goods?”

The workers swiftly climbed onto the cargo boxes, untied the ropes, and within minutes, removed the wooden boards outside the boxes, unwrapped the packaging paper, revealing inside brand-new five-axis CNC machine tools. They were still disassembled parts which, after arrival, needed professional assembly by skilled workers. The complexity wasn’t something an outsider like Huo Sining could comprehend.

Fortunately, these items weren’t assembled yet; otherwise, a three-meter-high box would definitely not fit one machine. If that were the case, Huo Sining’s small storage space could only ship two machine tools at a time, at best, needing to make a handful of trips to bring all five back.

While the workers were still opening boxes, the professional engineer Ouyang Jun brought quickly started inspecting the goods. After meticulous examination, the engineer with the surname He blushed with excitement, eagerly informing Ouyang Jun: ”Boss, it’s original, no signs of assembly, definitely genuine!”

This Master He was already in his fifties and had gone to Dongyang for further studies earlier. He had even directly visited factories there, making him quite authoritative on Dongyang’s CNC machine tools.

But back then, they were heavily restricted in Dongyang’s factories. Those Dongyang people were wary like thieves towards Huaxia people, fearing they would learn from them, only allowing them distant glances, never permitting them to disassemble the machines for study. So this was Master He’s first close contact with such a complete, brand-new five-axis CNC machine tool.

Those who work in machinery have an innate obsession with technical research. The Dongyang CNC machine tools that he’d thought about for half his life finally gave him the chance to disassemble and assemble. Master He’s words were filled with barely concealed joy and eagerness.
