Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 968: Chapter 964: Playing Tricks Under the Police’s Nose

Nohara Sa was completely dumbfounded. Who the hell told him, what the hell is going on?

Isn’t this woman a smuggler? Shouldn’t she be meeting up with her accomplices now? Why is she still at the airport?

Nohara Sa felt like his brain wasn’t enough. Over there, Huo Sining was looking at him with a bewildered gaze, like a little white rabbit. He didn’t know what was going on, and for a moment, he was bewitched and actually helped this girl by showing her the way, leading Huo Sining all the way to the gate shown on her ticket.

It was already 9:30 by this time, and there was only half an hour left before the plane was going to take off. Huo Sining, dragging her small suitcase, followed behind Nohara Sa, with her short leather boots clattering all the way down to the gate, and queued up waiting for security check.

Nohara Sa thought this girl was definitely showing up on purpose, just putting on a show for him, to clear her of any suspicion. Once he left, this girl would definitely leave the line.

So Nohara Sa sat on a chair not far away, his gaze fixed on Huo Sining. He wanted to see, just while sitting there, how this girl would play tricks. He was determined to watch with his own eyes how this girl entered the gate, boarded the plane, and left Dongyang.

Nohara Sa believed his guess was not wrong, so he decided to see this through to the end with Huo Sining.

But what he didn’t know was that in Huo Sining’s view, his actions were so ridiculous.

Huo Sining kept squinting her eyes and smiling warmly, and soon the security check queue reached her. Huo Sining turned back, and on the other side, Nohara Sa’s body trembled, thinking Huo Sining was about to make a move, but unexpectedly, Huo Sining just looked back in the queue to find where he was. Seeing Nohara Sa sitting on the waiting chair not far away, Huo Sining turned and smiled, winking rather smugly.

Then, Nohara Sa watched with wide eyes as Huo Sining openly opened her suitcase, took out all her electronic devices and even metal items from her body, cooperating fully with the security personnel’s scans on her whole body. In the end, all the items passed through the gate one by one, and Huo Sining calmly walked through the security checkpoint, packed her belongings again, and without looking back, walked through the safe passage and entered the boarding gate.

Nohara Sa was utterly perplexed. This... how could this be possible?

Didn’t this woman just leave? What about her machines? Did she not want them anymore?

The police officers stationed at the airport to monitor were also dumbfounded, asking Nohara Sa through the radio what exactly was happening.

”I told you long ago, this girl is definitely not a smuggler, but you wouldn’t believe it. Now look at the joke we’ve made!”

”Those machine tools are all heavy equipment. How could a young girl move them?”

”This Miss Huo’s social circle in Dongyang is very clean, apart from that Nara Nigawa who runs an antique shop and lawyer Feng Jinglin, she has no connections with anyone else, there’s no way she could move five linked machine tools.”

A group of officers began analyzing after the fact. Nohara Sa listened, feeling his cheeks burning hot. The problem was he relied entirely on intuition, and faced with these colleagues’ accusations, he was utterly speechless and unable to refute.

At this moment, he finally started to waver, doubting his intuition.

Could it be that he really got it wrong, that this Huo Sining is not a smuggler?

Confusion gradually appeared in Nohara Sa’s eyes as he looked through the large floor-to-ceiling glass of the waiting room, staring fixedly at the civilian aircraft parked outside. Until ten o’clock, the voice of an announcer came from the airport broadcast, and that parked aircraft began to start, taxi, speed up, run on the runway, and soar into the blue sky.

The plane took off and finally disappeared into the clouds. Nohara Sa heard the headset broadcasting his colleague’s voice: ”Nohara, the target did not disembark and is already flying to Huaxia.”

The last trace of doubt in Nohara Sa’s eyes disappeared completely, and he slumped helplessly on the floor, utterly bewildered.

Why did his intuition, which he had always been proud of and relied on, fail this time against this Huaxia girl? Who could tell him what was going on here?

Nobody told Nohara Sa the truth. The only one who knew, Huo Sining, was already high in the sky. Her lips slightly curled as she touched the storage ring on her finger, sitting quietly in her seat, enjoying the warmth of the sunlight.

The highest level of smuggling is exactly like this: openly going through a security check under the noses of a group of police, then bringing the items away, leisurely leaving.

No one could guess how she managed to take away those five machine tools collectively weighing more than fifty tons.

Inside Dongyang, a group of officers was still frantically searching at large harbors and docks for the whereabouts of the few machine tools, unaware that those five machine tools had long slipped away right under their noses.

No matter how sharp Nohara Sa’s intuition was, he could never imagine that this Huaxia girl carried a storage ring capable of instantly concealing anything without detection by anyone, not even a machine.

Just as Nohara Sa and his colleagues returned to the Police Department and resumed setting up and investigating the whereabouts of the linked machine tools, Huo Sining, having flown for more than three hours high in the sky, had successfully landed at Rainbow Airport of S City with her spoils.

Knowing that Huo Sining was coming back home, Su Qingqing had already driven to the airport early to wait. Seeing Huo Sining, she couldn’t help but pout, ”Looks like you lived quite the leisurely life in enemy territory, I thought you’d come back skin and bones, but you didn’t lose weight at all, you even gained some!”

Upon hearing Su Qingqing’s words, Huo Sining’s face turned black immediately, ”Can’t you say something nice, it’s been over a month since we last met, and as soon as we meet, you say I’ve gained weight, that’s too much, isn’t it?”

Su Qingqing laughed without the slightest politeness, ”I’m just stating the truth. I was here losing weight for you, and yet you were off having a good time alone, who’s really being excessive between the two of us?”

When it comes to being unreasonable, Huo Sining naturally couldn’t outdo Su Qingqing. She quickly raised her hands, admitting defeat directly, ”Okay, okay, I’m the one being excessive, it’s me.”

”That’s more like it.” Su Qingqing smiled smugly, clearly satisfied with Huo Sining’s attitude, and said with a laugh, ”Seeing you being so sensible, today I’m going to splash out a bit, treating Miss Returnee on her golden trip to a good meal, so you can experience what real gourmet is. Compared to our vast and bountiful Huaxia homeland, that little Island Country is just a frog in the well!”

Hearing Su Qingqing dissing Dongyang, Huo Sining couldn’t help but shake her head, chuckling, and the two of them drove all the way to their usual favorite private restaurant.
