The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1434: Chapter 1434: Running an Errand

Shu Yu suddenly realized, she thought, how Meng Han encountered Tao Qin snatching things when she was young, and it only exploded now.

It seems that the Tao family’s actions have reached her breaking point, making it unbearable.

Shu Yu sighed, ”Every family has its own issues.” It’s truly rare to have understanding family members; otherwise, it’s just constant trouble.

”Sister Shuyu.” Meng Han rode up to the side of the carriage, her face flushed, eyes sparkling, ”I heard from Xia Yan that you have a large sunflower field, very beautiful, the only one in the entire Dasu dynasty, right? Can I see it when the time comes?”

Looking at her excited and eager demeanor, Shu Yu regretfully said, ”I’m afraid you can’t see it now. When I came to Changjin Prefecture half a month ago, the sunflowers were just harvested. Even if they are replanted now, it will take at least three months to grow.”

”Ah?” Meng Han was indeed disappointed; three months, could she stay in Dongan Province for three months?

But if she misses it this time, she doesn’t know when she can see it again. Listening to Xia Yan’s description, she really wanted to see it.

Meng Han’s eyes twinkled, pondering if she could delay that long.

Shu Yu watched as she rode away again, and couldn’t help but shake her head with a smile.

Their journey was slow, and since they weren’t in a hurry, they didn’t want to compromise their comfort.

Especially the last time, Shu Yu hurried along so fast she almost hurt herself. This time, she mostly lounged lazily in the carriage, moving slowly.

Moreover, it was summer, the weather was very hot, traveling at midday was truly torture, they’d wait until it was cooler before setting off.

Shu Yu would sometimes ride with Meng Yunzheng, and stop in suitable places for a picnic.

Meng Han had never experienced such a life, maintaining high enthusiasm throughout the journey.

But spending too long in such decadence got boring. As they neared Dongan Province, everyone wanted to reach home quickly, so they picked up the pace.

”Finally here.” Seeing the gates of Dongan Province, Shu Yu stretched out lazily and exhaled deeply.

Meng Han poked her head out, ”Is this Dongan Province? Sister Shuyu, it’s still early, should we go straight to Jiangyuan County?”

”No, let’s stay one night in Dongan Province, I have some matters to attend to.”

”What matters? I’ll go with you.” Meng Han was energetic again.

However, before Shu Yu could refuse, Meng Yunzheng interjected, ”You don’t need to go, stay at the inn.”

Meng Han, ”...”

Alright, since her cousin spoke, Meng Han didn’t dare to object.

She looked pitifully at Shu Yu, but the latter didn’t meet her gaze.

She was going to Dongqing Temple, and at the same time, checking on the Xiao Family. The less known about Xiao’s whereabouts, the better. Meng Han was young and unaware of everything, so it was best not to bring her along.

Meng Han thought Meng Yunzheng would also go with Shu Yu, but unexpectedly, after leaving their things at the inn, Shu Yu left only with Ying Xi.

Meng Han felt delighted, thinking her cousin was soft inside, afraid she’d be scared alone in this unfamiliar place.

Who knew, as soon as she settled her luggage, Meng Yunzheng told Xia Yan, ”Watch her, I need to handle something.”

Meng Han, ”...”

Sorry, she was overthinking things.
