The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1337: Chapter 1337: Daniu’s Share

The more he looked, the brighter Daniu’s eyes became.

During this period, he had dealt with a considerable amount of money, but seeing so much money added to the accounts still made his face flush with excitement.

When Daniu finished looking, he saw Shu Yu take out three silver notes from the drawer and hand them over.

Daniu was taken aback, ”What’s this?”

”Here are three hundred taels, your share.”

”Yu...”

Shu Yu pushed them forward again, ”We agreed from the start, after the workshop profits, you take ten percent. Initially, we planned to distribute at the end of the year, but at the time the workshop had just started production, and the sales channels hadn’t been opened, so we didn’t settle it then. Now that the goods have been sold, your share naturally belongs to you.”

Sunflower seeds were discovered by her and Daniu together, and they were also planted together.

The initial trial planting of sunflowers was completed solely by Daniu when she was in the exile area. When it was time for large-scale planting, Shu Yu had gone to the capital. So, the first batch’s harvesting and subsequent sowing were still entirely in Daniu’s hands.

Back then, when they just started, Shu Yu left everything to him, so it’s imaginable how much pressure Daniu was under.

Even after Shu Yu returned, the planting management on the Manor was still all managed by Daniu, and her occasional visits couldn’t compare to Daniu’s efforts of staying up till the wee hours.

After the workshop was established, Daniu devoted himself entirely, juggling between both sides with dedication.

The most Shu Yu could do at that time was to bring Zhou Qiao home and take good care of her, but Daniu was busy at the workshop even when his wife was giving birth.

Honestly, Shu Yu felt that giving him ten percent was a bit too little, but Daniu refused to take more.

Ren Huai thought that she shouldn’t entrust such an inexperienced person as Chief Steward, but only Shu Yu knew that it was because he was Lu Daniu that she felt comfortable leaving the rear to him, and never hesitated when going to the Capital.

Shu Yu was very grateful to Daniu, ”Brother Daniu, since last year, you’ve been working tirelessly. Now that we have a yield and have started making money, your share rightfully belongs to you. Sister-in-law just gave birth, and there are many expenses; wouldn’t it be nice to have ample funds in hand for anything you might want to buy?”

”But didn’t you say you’re planning to buy more land and expand sunflower cultivation? That’ll require money too. I get wages every month, and they are quite high, enough for me.”

”Rest assured, I’ve already allocated money for buying lands. Moreover, I can’t just keep withholding your share just because your wages are enough, can I?”

Daniu was left with no choice, ”But I just looked at the account book, and even ten percent doesn’t come to three hundred taels.”

”I handed out bonuses to others in the workshop today too. With all your hard work, of course, you deserve one. Rounding it up makes it exactly three hundred taels.”

Daniu was momentarily speechless, and after a while, he smiled, ”Alright, I’ll accept it.”

”That’s more like it.”

The siblings exchanged smiles, and seeing that Shu Yu still had affairs to handle, Daniu tucked the silver notes away and left.

He returned to the room and told Zhou Qiao about the silver notes.

Zhou Qiao was stunned, ”Three—three hundred taels???”

Daniu nodded, ”Yes, three hundred taels.”

Zhou Qiao gasped, wasn’t that too much? Combined with the wages Daniu previously received, they were close to having four hundred taels.

They originally thought Daniu’s wages were already quite high, allowing their family to live a comfortable, worry-free life.

But now looking at it, profit sharing is indeed the significant portion.
