The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1310: Chapter 1310: Shuyou Is Pregnant

Shu Yu hurried to the two, supporting Shuyou while asking, ”How is it?”

Zhao Xi’s expression... was quite nuanced.

He seemed somewhat excited and incredulous, withdrew his hand from checking the pulse, wiped it on his clothes, then put it back on Shuyou’s wrist.

Shu Yu, ”...” Say something, will you?

Zhao Xi was silent for a long time before slowly lifting his head, looking at Shuyou, swallowing hard and said, ”It seems, it seems to be a pregnancy pulse.”

Everyone present was dumbfounded, a pregnancy pulse?

Shu Yu was overjoyed, ”Sis, you are pregnant.”

Shuyou looked shocked, bowing her head to stare at her flat belly, ”There’s a baby in my belly?”

Zhao Xi finally snapped back to reality, grinned and said, ”Yes, we have a child, Ah You, almost a month now.”

Shuyou’s monthly cycle was always irregular, primarily because her body was weakened in her early years, especially in those two years with the Zhang family, sometimes even stopping for two months.

Back then, Shuyou didn’t understand, thought she might be pregnant because she hadn’t menstruated, and was mocked by Old Lady Zhang.

Later, after returning home, with good food and sleep every day, it slowly returned to normal.

After marrying Zhao Xicheng, he often massaged her acupoints to regulate her energy and blood flow. Now she’s in great health, though occasionally still a few days late or early.

This time being a few days late, Shuyou didn’t think anything was wrong.

Who knew, she would have a child.

Somehow, her eyes instantly felt sore, and tears couldn’t help but fall.

Zhao Xi became extremely nervous, ”What’s wrong? Is there still somewhere uncomfortable?”

Shu Yu understood she’s happy. Despite Shuyou appearing indifferent to past events now, the label of being unable to have children had weighed on her for years, pushing her to the brink of despair.

Now, everything has cleared up after the rain.

Shuyou shook her head, sniffed, adjusted her emotions, then nervously asked, ”I felt tightness in my chest just now; is the baby okay?”

”No issue, the pulse is normal. However, many women have strong reactions in early pregnancy. Nausea, back pain, and drowsiness are common; don’t worry too much. But in the coming months, you’ll have to bear a bit.”

”I’m not afraid of hardship.” What is a little hardship? Just thinking about the little life inside her fills her heart with joy.

Shu Yu couldn’t help but shake her head, ”Alright, let’s not just stand around here; let’s head back to the city first.”

”Yes, yes, back to the city.”

Zhao Xi directly lifted Shuyou and placed her in the carriage, then nervously instructed the coachman to go slow, watch the road, avoid rocks, and make sure not to jolt her.

His incessant chatter made Shu Yu and Shuyou both unable to resist holding their foreheads.

The carriage entered the city gates directly heading to the Lu family.

Although the Zhao family is close, without a female elder in the Zhao family, even with two doctors in the house and having hired servants, it’s still not as comfortable as at the Lu family.

A woman newly pregnant, at a time of emotional fluctuation, very sensitive and fragile, having close maternal family members nearby reassured Zhao Xi.

So, on their way, the two decided that during Shuyou’s early pregnancy, the couple would reside at the Lu family.

Shu Yu, ”...” Have you considered Old Doctor Zhao’s feelings? Even if he isn’t home often, you can’t just pretend he doesn’t exist, can you?
