The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1314: Chapter 1314: You Were a Step Too Late

Ren Huai silently took a sip of tea, leaning forward slightly, ”We hope that all the melon seeds produced in the workshop of Monarch Lu Xiang will be sold exclusively by the Passion Fruit Shop in the future.”

Shu Yu was taken aback, secretly smirking in her heart, thinking it sounded quite nice.

Seeing she didn’t speak, Ren Huai’s voice was low, with a slightly enticing tone, ”Monarch Lu Xiang, my proposal is actually beneficial for both sides. We can have a sufficient supply, and you can save a lot of trouble. You don’t have to worry about the sales or how to sell them, just transport the goods to us, and we will take care of everything else.”

He smiled, ”Monarch Lu Xiang, Passion Fruit Shop is spread across the entire Dasu. By cooperating with us, it’s equivalent to having your goods already laid out. You just have to produce with peace of mind, and don’t worry about anything else.”

Shu Yu listened to him, but after a while sighed, ”Young Master Ren, your proposal is indeed very good, I am especially, especially tempted. Honestly, I am very afraid of trouble, and now there’s a channel being offered to me, I couldn’t be happier. It’s just that...”

She looked puzzled and conflicted, very distressed.

Ren Huai frowned, ”What’s wrong, does Monarch Lu Xiang have any concerns? The price is negotiable, we can sign a contract, and guarantee not to let you suffer any loss.”

Shu Yu shook her head, ”That’s not the reason.”

”Then it is...”

”Young Master Ren, you’re just a step too late.”

Ren Huai squinted, ”What do you mean?”

”Just two days ago, I received a letter from Linzhang Prefecture in the southwest, the contract has already been signed, and the goods have been shipped over, and they’re already selling in Linzhang Prefecture.”

”What? The southwest?”

Shu Yu said with great regret, ”Young Master Ren knows, I was originally exiled to the southwest, though I didn’t stay there for long, I did meet some people with decent connections. My workshop was built, the products were produced, and I was just troubled about how to sell them. But even though I bear the title of a Village Chief, it’s just a nice-sounding title, in reality, I don’t have connections or know many people. So, I had to find a place to sell it myself, right? That’s when I thought of my friends in the southwest, I sent a letter before the new year, and they replied, saying they’re very willing to cooperate, I got so happy I didn’t think much, and settled the matter right then.”

Ren Huai and Steward Xu were momentarily speechless, just two days ago?

Two days ago they were already in Jiangyuan County, but they were still investigating and hadn’t had the chance to meet and discuss.

However, Shu Yu hadn’t finished speaking, ”Besides the southwest, there’s also Changjin Prefecture. My fiancé left for Changjin Prefecture yesterday morning to take the imperial exam, I thought he might have acquaintances there and asked him to see if he could find a sales partner. My fiancé rode swiftly, even if you chase him, you can’t catch up, and he moves fast too, I predict once he arrives in Changjin Prefecture, he’ll quickly finalize the matter.”

She paused, raising her head, ”Oh, by the way, my fiancé is Meng Yunzheng. He’s quite famous in the Capital, Young Master Ren should have heard of him, and it’s rare for him not to accomplish what he sets out to do.”

Ren Huai felt a headache coming on.

Shu Yu looked innocent, yet said regretfully, ”If I had known earlier that Young Master Ren would come to me, saying that the Passion Fruit Shop in the Capital wants to cooperate with me and fully take over sales. I wouldn’t have put so much thought into it, honestly, it’s quite tiring. It mainly taxes the mind, I also have to worry about how well they sell.”
