The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1319: Chapter 1319: Living Conditions

Ren Huai looked around, and indeed, he couldn’t find a single point to criticize. Although this workshop was newly built, it was significantly better than those of the Liao Family.

In contrast, he didn’t have the face to pick faults.

However, as a businessman, he’s most skilled at lying through his teeth.

”Monarch Lu Xiang, this workshop is indeed nice, but it seems there aren’t enough people, and they don’t appear to be very skilled. If we were to collaborate in the future, and the order was large, I’m afraid you wouldn’t be able to keep up with the supply.”

Shu Yu smiled, ”Don’t worry about that. In the beginning, there were indeed fewer people. If our two families really can cooperate, I will immediately hire more staff. You see how big our workshop is; you can tell there will definitely be many staff in the future. We’ve been prepared for this for a long time, and we even built a large accommodation area for this reason.”

”Accommodation area?”

Shu Yu nodded, ”Yes, it’s right in front, is Young Master Ren interested in taking a look?”

”Alright then.” It’s hard to find faults with the workshop, maybe the accommodation can offer something.

The group left the workshop and headed over to the accommodation area.

The accommodation area was indeed quite large. As they walked, Shu Yu introduced, ”We built this especially so that the workshop staff can work more comfortably and wholeheartedly. There are quadruple rooms, triple rooms, double rooms, and single rooms here. Look, isn’t the environment nice?”

”Yes... very nice.” Ren Huai was surprised.

The quadruple room before him was not the kind of big open dormitory he had seen before.

Instead, it had four beds, each equipped with a chair and a wardrobe. In the center, there was a large table, and on top of it... books?

The staff even read books? He almost doubted his eyesight.

The dormitory Shu Yu took them to see belonged to a few people from Shangshi Village, and they had given their consent beforehand.

However, she hadn’t expected there would be books on the table in this dormitory.

She raised her eyebrows and looked at Daniu, who seized the moment when Ren Huai and the others weren’t paying attention to whisper, ”Didn’t you promote Ruan Dali as the steward? He’s been diligently learning to read lately, and seeing him like that, others who want to better themselves have joined in, hoping for the day they might become stewards too.”

Shu Yu touched her chin, ”That atmosphere is pretty good.”

As they spoke, the group had already looked through the dormitory, and Ren Huai walked out almost dazed.

Are these accommodation conditions too good? They’re even better than those of our own staff members at home.

Shu Yu laughed, ”How does Young Master Ren feel?”

”It’s too good,” he blurted out instinctively.

Shu Yu clapped her hands, ”You said it’s good, so it must be absolutely right.”

Ren Huai, ”...” No, that’s not what I meant.

Who would have thought Shu Yu would sigh immediately after, ”I was just thinking back then, letting the staff live a little better would make them more enthusiastic, and they’d work with full spirits every day. But who knew it exceeded the budget; building this accommodation courtyard cost quite a bit of money. Fortunately, it was my father who built it, so I was able to defer the payment for a while. But it’s not good to keep deferring, after all, my father has a large team under him who need wages too.”

As she spoke, she looked at Ren Huai, ”Young Master Ren, you really came at the perfect time. If we cooperate, it would solve my urgent problem. Of course, I’m not saying this to pressure Young Master Ren. You can think it through carefully, and on the price front, I’m open to discussion, as long as I don’t lose money and can repay the debt.”

Ren Huai, ”...”
