My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1554: Chapter 1348: I’m Sorry

Looking at this familiar weather, it feels as if it lingers in the deepest memories of my heart.

It seems as if our encounter that time was the accumulation of fate from a previous life, watching that past melody, yet unable to hear it again left me so disappointed.

”Zhentian, are you truly foolish? You were never like this before, although I used to affectionately call you foolish and say you were too naive, doing things without thinking thrice.

But why, when you did this today, deep down inside, you still didn’t consider the final outcome at all? You never cared what your father would think, you only had eyes for me, but in your eyes, is a wife really that important? Your father is the one who brought you into this world and raised you, his struggle in raising you was not easy, yet I’m merely a piece you married into your family, a wife can be replaced, but once a father is gone, he’s gone forever. Why don’t you consider your family’s feelings?

Though you care so much for me, deep in my heart, I’m truly moved, I’m also happy, having received such deep love from you. But sometimes love isn’t like this, your love is too selfish, this kind of love isn’t something we can bear. Our desired life is so little, the happiness we want is too simple. But why do the outcomes, time and time again, end with us both in utter misery, is that truly the ending you want?

You should understand that all anyone seeks is a simple life, throughout the years we’ve braved numerous storms together, you know this better than anyone. You know what I’ve been through all these years, you know how I feel towards you. Your heart understands better than anyone, but why do you pretend to be innocent, thinking it will earn everyone’s understanding? Do you find that amusing?

Time and again, I’m the one bearing all the blame, while you step forward to take on everything for me, making the world see me as the bad person!

Sometimes, think in reverse, consider the issues from others’ perspectives, only then will you understand how your actions appear to others. Knowing such an outcome, what thoughts will rise in their hearts? Never just consider issues from your own angle, because that perspective is too careless, you can’t make decisions for others. Sometimes, your perspective is just a misunderstanding of others, yet they don’t think this way at all. Often, it’s because of such misunderstandings that things grow between us, isn’t that so?

I think at this moment the person you owe an apology to the most isn’t me, but your father. If you truly died here today, then you would have lost your father, lost your son. Frankly speaking, you would be abandoning them once again, this time completely and forever. In their hearts, they won’t forgive such a heartless father, a heartless son. What you’ve done simply doesn’t deserve their forgiveness, why do you treat them this way, just for me?

I once said that I would no longer resent you for all past events, I married you, proving I won’t pursue past mistakes. You don’t have to cling again and again to past issues because nothing good comes from it. It will only worsen and complicate our relationship. All I want is to stay steadily here, by my child’s side, and please give me this chance, don’t continue to make things difficult for me repeatedly, opposing me at every turn.”

Zhang Zhentian lowered his head after his wife finished speaking, as he finally realized that nothing he did was right. His wife is always so sensible, compared to himself, what did all his actions really amount to? Once again, he nearly caused his father to lose him completely. Despite caring so much about his own life, why did he act so thoughtlessly, treating everything so simply without caring about their thoughts?

The blame is on himself for being too headstrong, repeatedly never considering whether others could bear such blows. What he wanted was just a momentary impulse decision, and when he regrets it afterward, everything is too late. No one will wait forever for you to admit your mistake, and even if you do, others might not forgive you.

”Xia Jing, I’m sorry, I understand now. I think nothing I did before was right, what I want now is just a stable life. I will no longer easily risk my life, because life is precious, there’s only one life, no matter what, I can’t make jokes with my life. If I do, how much pain would my family endure, especially my father? He worked so hard to bring me into this world and raise me, as you said, should someone with white hair send off someone with black hair?

If there’s anything like that, how painful it would be for them. I’m his son, yet I leave him this way, how can he understand, how can he be happy? All he wants is for his son to live stably by his side, talking with him, seeing me at home is already a kind of happiness, a comfort. But if I really leave this world, what should my father say? Not even seeing me, his father would be even more heartbroken, right?”

”It’s good that you’ve figured it out, if you keep going like this, I really won’t know how to talk to you.

Your thinking was slower than everyone else’s, others quickly admit their mistakes, but you didn’t even think about it, believing nothing you did was wrong. But what about the truth? The truth is that every decision you made was wrong. You’ve never considered others’ thoughts at that time. Even now, if you don’t hurry to find your father and sincerely apologize, will you keep letting him worry about you?

No matter when or where, parents cannot help but care about the lives of their children. Even if their children make mistakes, parents will always care about how their child is living!”

Can we ever escape the destiny that seems set, the distance that leads our paths to diverge, our efforts remain like sorrow, existing all along!
