My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1550: Chapter 1344: Dancing in the Wind

The sky is swirling, desolate, and the sight of wind and snow seems like a past life. Today, no matter how much suffering there is, it can all be forgotten. Only by forgetting everything can we start anew.

Even though we know all tears turn to dust, we still persist arduously.

I wrote my longing for you on the rock at the end of the earth. I turned everything between us into past events. Some waits cannot be too long, as they may have already withered in the heart.

”Dad, I understand now, I completely understand now why you did all this. Now I feel that no matter what the future holds, whether it’s full of pitfalls, or brambles everywhere, as long as our family holds tightly together and never lets go of anyone, we can live a happy life forever.”

”It’s best if you can understand, but some things cannot be told to others. We, as father and son, just need to know in our hearts. If we tell others, it might cause unnecessary trouble.

You also know how difficult it is to live in this family. How many people have been hurt by what we’ve done? We should consider whether what we’ve done is truly right.

Again and again, we’ve made unforgivable mistakes. The only way to prove that all we’ve done is for the good of this family is through our actions.”

”Dad, even if everything we’ve done is for this family, in the future, we will still have arguments and conflicts in this family for various reasons. At that time, do we still have to swallow our pride? Each outcome just results in the family members hurting themselves repeatedly. If so, what is the point of living in this chaotic world?

In this chaotic world, we’re doing everything so our family can live happier lives. If this purpose becomes meaningless, then I think living here becomes unnecessary.

Life in this chaotic world is already good if you can protect your own interests, so how could you possibly care for the entire family’s interests at the same time?

You should know very well that interests here are like the law, the rule of survival.

To survive, you must move forward with no regard for anything and abandon all of others’ interests.

In this world, if you want to live happily and joyfully, first you must see that others are not as important as yourself. You always need to consider your own interests first. Doing unworthy things for unworthy people, some things once done cannot be undone, and some things not done mean you didn’t have the courage to do them.

No matter when or where, you should prioritize your own interests and abandon everything you originally valued, letting all efforts go in vain, like drawing water with a bamboo basket. Why bother letting some things disrupt the peace of your life? My mother has ended up like this, and I don’t know what attitude to take towards her, or how to face everyone in this world.

Deep down, everyone at home is like my closest friend in this lifetime. No matter when or where, I will always prioritize the family’s interests. I can see my family as more important than anything else, but I cannot abandon my whole family or my personal interests for the family’s sake. That’s absolutely impossible. People are inherently selfish, and this is the true premise of living: to make everyone who hurt you pay a heavy price so that they can’t understand what kind of pain this is.”

”Child, do you think living like this, full of hatred, truly makes you happy? Are you really joyful? You’re pushing yourself to a dead end step by step, and in the end, do you still have a way back? You’ve given up all your options for what you wanted, just so everyone can happily watch you, but the result of this is that everyone at home is disappointed in you. You’ve forgotten what your original dream was, and the reason you wanted to prove in the beginning. Now you’ve become numb after experiencing these things time and time again.”

”I know living with hatred is painful, and I’m not living at ease, but why should I let them happily smile while I’m in my deepest pain? I’m not a Saint; I can’t do that.

I will let each person who hurt me understand what it feels like to betray someone. I will let them know the price of betrayal. There’s a saying that ’to be shameless is invincible,’ and I believe there’s some truth to it, but I don’t believe the world only has justice without humanity. The world has only this kind of justice once; it’s what others say, yet who truly pursues fairness and can act justly?

Behind every lie is the hurt caused to those you love the most and those who love you the most. He hurt them over and over, until finally, they’ve given up hope. There’s no reason to continue living like this anymore.

Once some decisions are made, they are forever undeserving of forgiveness. Even if you admit those things have nothing to do with you, some harm has already been done, and others won’t forgive you endlessly because of these things.

Some things are unforgivable. You might think I’m overdoing it, but did any of you consider my inner feelings? After all, they hurt this family, and I have no way to let these things just pass away with the wind. You might go to such lengths for grandpa, but I have no one worth doing the same for. Time and again, when I’ve abandoned everything, what outcome have I gained? It’s just the most painful hurt, over and over. In others’ eyes, I’m nothing.”

”Child, you finally understand this principle: in this world, you can only live for yourself. You absolutely should not change yourself or live for anyone else. You’re alive for yourself, not for others. Once you understand this, you’ve matured a lot. Some things can be ignored, but that doesn’t mean you don’t care in your heart. Now, the most important thing you should do is to accompany your mother well. You should let your mother recover soon and let her know that you, as her son, sincerely love her, not just saying it without proving it through actions. If she’s aware of everything you’ve done for her when she’s conscious, she’ll be very happy.”

Don’t think of things that make you unhappy and troubled. Think about the life you have, and you’ll discover a different brightness.

No matter how much pain and suffering you’ve been through, don’t force others to experience what you don’t want to. You’ll still be in pain if you act that way.
