My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1528: Chapter 1322: Never Loved

I truly want to ask if you ever really loved me. After leaving without saying a word, the promise that still pains is mine. But why did you choose to treat me this way? Is it because I didn’t love you enough?

I also know you don’t love me like you used to, but I still feel sad for you. Breaking up was your initial choice, yet I ended up being the one abandoned.

Xia Jing looked at her husband, who still appeared indifferent. Her anxiety grew. She didn’t want to bear this blame again; she didn’t want to become the villain in everyone’s eyes once more. All these things were never the endings she wanted. So why, after everything happened, does all the responsibility fall on her shoulders? Did she really have to bear this burden?

”I hope you can think it through. Today, I’m candidly telling you that I am the one who made this decision today, but you blindly think about leaving me. What do you think people think of me? They will simply believe I incited you to leave with me, abandoning them again. I don’t know what people truly think in their hearts, and I don’t want to do it. But as my husband, can you consider my perspective as your wife?

Do you really want me to carry this burden again? Over the years, you’ve known how many burdens I’ve carried, and now you want me to endure public criticism because of you once more, pushing me into the spotlight again. Everyone will think I’m the reason you’re leaving with me. All the neighbors will think I’m an unfilial daughter-in-law, causing my husband to abandon his biological father. How am I supposed to face their views? You’ve put me in a dangerous position time and again. I could always ignore it, bear it with no complaint, but today I truly can’t stand it. I don’t want this situation to have nothing to do with me, yet ultimately, I’m pushed into the spotlight. That’s too unfair to me.

If you cared for me even a tiny bit, even just a little, I wouldn’t be like this now. I just hope you can think carefully. Every decision comes with responsibility. Don’t make a decision just because of a moment of passion. You think your decision is right, but for me, it may not be right at all. I hope you constantly consider things from my perspective, even a little bit, and it would make me so much happier.

Now that everyone is here, I truly want to clarify everything. Today’s situation has nothing to do with him, and especially nothing to do with me. I’m just saying that I want to leave alone, leaving him at home. If he insists on leaving with me, I hope everyone doesn’t blame me again. I’m truly not the one to carry this burden. I can’t let you place the blame on me again and again while you enjoy yourselves, thinking everything is my fault, believing I deserve the criticism and pressure.

Sometimes, when I think about it, people’s lives being hurt by us are innocent, but aren’t we innocent too? We’re driven out time and again, and every mistake is pinned on us. We can’t speak up about our grievances. Just because we made one mistake, we quietly endure the pain you bring us repeatedly. We have no solutions, we can only work hard to show everyone that everything I do is right. I can’t let anyone look down on me. Do you know how painful that criticism is?

Today, I’ve laid everything bare, speaking so frankly, this proves I will never again carry the burden for any matter, nor let others casually blame me. I don’t have that responsibility, nor the obligation to bear the consequences of your mistakes and the public opinions they bring.”

Zhang Zhentian suddenly realized whether what he used to do was truly wrong. Every time he acted, his wife faced criticism, while he never did. It was always his wife. Yet, he just said she was going too far. Did everything really relate to his wife? It seems all consequences came from his own actions. What right did he have to blame her? She was innocent, dragged into danger again and again, with everyone blaming her. She had no choice because he was her husband, and she chose to bear it alone.

Maybe the decisions he made in the past were indeed wrong. Perhaps he never made any right choice. Thinking back, he was ridiculous, naively believing every decision was correct, every road was bright. Now, thinking of countless irreparable mistakes he made, those mistakes aged him, leaving him no way to live.

”I’m sorry. I didn’t consider your feelings, constantly pushing you into the spotlight, making you suffer again. I truly regret it. I never thought my actions would bring you this pain. I just wanted to give you a stable life, but in the end, I couldn’t achieve what I wished, nor did I give you the life you wanted. I don’t know how I should treat you, but I only wish to wholeheartedly keep you by my side. I swear to accompany you all my life, never letting go. Even if you want to leave, I’ll follow your steps and be by your side at all times!

You might think that my approach, my thoughts, are selfish, not caring about family views, but do you know? When a man loves a woman deeply, he would give up everything for her, and he thinks it’s all worth it. I don’t understand how to let you feel that emotion—that’s the best feeling from deep within one’s heart, indescribable in words. I’m happy; I just want him by my side, to see him the moment I open my eyes in the morning. I believe that’s the happiest life!

Maybe your opinions are completely different from mine, but it doesn’t matter. I don’t care. What matters is if I can keep her by my side, letting her never give up on me throughout her life...”

I will definitely lead a joyful life myself, no longer feeling sad because of you. Your departure left me heartbroken back then.
