My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1506: Chapter 1300: In a Dream

It is said that they dug away everything from the hometown and changed everything about it, while the people of the hometown got what they wanted, they simultaneously lost what they originally had.

”Don’t worry, every word I say to you here today, I will fulfill my promises. I am no longer the person who would only speak and not act. I want to prove with my actions that every decision I make is correct, and I want everyone to believe I truly know my mistakes. I hope that others can see how I turn from a wrong life to the right path. I once went astray, but now I want to return to the right path, hoping my return can let you all truly see that I am not someone who only knows how to make mistakes without remorse. I only wish my family can understand me a little more, even if just a tiny bit, it’s never enough.

I decided I would think, kneel and beg your grandfather for his forgiveness. After all, it was us who chose to leave this home without hesitation and hurt him. We absolutely need to explain everything clearly, so he no longer misunderstands us. Being misunderstood is really uncomfortable because this matter has little to do with me; I really did nothing wrong, but I was pointed at time and again, blamed for these mistakes. No one wants to bear the blame for others indefinitely, or be accused at the tip of their nose for doing wrong. Who doesn’t wish to live uprightly in this world, receiving the care and love of family? Who doesn’t want to live their life in joy and laughter, rather than in unbearable pain looking at everyone in this world?

After hearing what you said to us, I now feel I need to truly reflect on what my past actions have become. I made this home exceptionally awkward; I never thought this is the answer I wanted the most. I only hoped my life could be relaxed and happy, yet I made the most severe mistakes time and again, leaving everyone with no way to forgive me. I really regret it; I’m so remorseful over such a life in my world. I hoped to live happily and merrily, but through it all, they suffered through immense sadness and pain. How disappointed I was! Who knew I once thought, as long as I could live happily and joyfully, what did it matter if others lived in agony? I didn’t care about others’ life or death, only about my own interests.

The day I discovered everything was the opposite of what I imagined, I realized every decision I made was wrong, and my mindset was incorrect, leading me further astray step by step. When I can no longer see the way back, that’s when I truly panicked inside. I don’t know what mindset I should adopt to return to the original path. I tried to grasp others, wanting them to save me; the desire for survival became stronger and stronger, but who would want to save a drowning person? When you can survive, why give up on your own life to save another?

Alright, I’m not going to talk to you now; I’m going back to find your grandfather to make things clear. Hopefully, when you return, I’ll still be in this home!”

Xia Jing, after speaking, left the hospital with her husband. She should now go back to confess to her father properly, clarify everything she had done in the past. Her son should have the life he ought to. Seeing her son staying by his wife’s side made her, as a mother, feel uneasy deep down. If it weren’t for her return making everything so bewilderingly disordered, they wouldn’t have ended up like this. Perhaps every decision she made was ultimately a mistake. If her return really caused everyone in the family to lose their original plans and effectiveness, what’s the meaning of her existence in this world? Maybe by Thursday morning after her departure, her family might live happily and joyously?

When Xia Jing and Zhang Zhentian returned home, they saw Old Master Zhang. Xia Jing said to him, ”Dad, I’m sorry, it was our recklessness that led to this situation. I truly regret my past conduct. Had I not stubbornly chose to leave this home and abandon you, maybe all of this wouldn’t have turned out like this. I truly regret it, and I hope to receive your forgiveness here today!”

”Which one of your mistakes wasn’t met with words saying you’ve learned from them, just hoping to gain our forgiveness? Yet after our forgiveness time and again, how have you treated everyone in the family? I truly dare not believe anything you say anymore. Maybe every word you utter is a lie. Who knows what shocking secret lies behind these lies? If you still intend on staying in this home, I advise you to leave early, drop the thought, and stop causing harm to the family here. Could you do that, just take it as this old geezer begging you!”

Zhang Zhentian, hearing Old Master Zhang’s words, suddenly kneeled before his father.

Old Master Zhang didn’t understand what show his son and daughter-in-law were playing again today. Why did they have to play the melodrama in front of him again? Wasn’t the melodrama from before enough — being deceived again and again, the most important that his family suffered hurt over and over?

”What play do you intend to perform today? You also knelt in front of me, begging my forgiveness with soft-heartedness in the past. I forgave you without reservation, gave you opportunities, yet how did you repay me? The home became a complete mess, and do you still find pleasure in this false act here? I don’t wish for you both to be before me; even if you kneel here for life, I won’t believe a word you say anymore. In my eyes, you’re forever fixed with the nature of lying, having grown up lying incessantly. Attribute might change, nature hardly ever transitions. You both should take good care of yourselves, and going forward refrain from tormenting and hurting the family over and over again in various ways; it’s not worth it!”

Maybe the one sharing nights with you isn’t me, perhaps the one spring holds onto isn’t me either; we can never go back to our past with each other.
