My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1512: Chapter 1306: Sadness

Some things are simply not worth being sad about, so why let them cause such unbearable pain? When you’re in pain, others might just see it as your personal issue.

Love is inherently fragile, like a bubble; even the most perfect fireworks are fleeting.

”Well, as long as they can wake up, wouldn’t that be a kind of happiness for this couple? They’ve weathered so many storms over the years. If they lose their lives because of this, it’s incredibly unfair to them. Has anyone considered their feelings? Nobody truly knows what they want, but as long as they can live in this world, maybe that’s the greatest comfort. Everyone wants different things, and each person’s outcome in this world is different. No matter how much one has given, as long as there’s a little reward in the end, it’s something to be thankful for!”

”Yes, if they really can’t wake up, how devastating it would be for a child. They’ve never considered that. Perhaps every parent has moments of selfishness, but to damage their relationship with their family for selfish reasons is not worth it for anyone.”

”Mom and Dad, can you really bear to see your son suffering here? I really hope you can wake up. Mom and Dad are already starting to show signs of reaction, so why is there no response from you? Why are you hurt more than Mom? I truly hope both of you will be safe and sound. How perfect would it be if the person lying in the hospital was me? I’m willing to endure all the pain for you, but I can’t bear to see you suffer even a bit. I don’t know why, but slowly, deep down, I’ve accepted you.

As long as you don’t get hurt, it’s as if all the pain I bear doesn’t matter. I truly don’t care about much; what I want is really simple. Just to live an ordinary life is my greatest joy. I’ve never considered what kind of life I would lead. Everyone lives through it like this, I live again and again like this. Is what I want still not simple enough?”

Zhang Yichen watched as the golden finger moved, and his heart became even more excited. He believed that his call had a significant impact on his mother. He only wanted his mother to wake up and wasn’t worried about his father not waking up. He believed there was a tacit understanding between them, a bond no one else could break. He believed that if one person woke up, the other would immediately follow, as this connection was uniquely theirs, known to no one else.

”Mom, you’re about to wake up, aren’t you? I believe you can’t bear to leave me here alone. Over these years, you know how hard my life has been. I can no longer bear the impact my parents have left on me. As long as you can survive, even if I have to go through hell, I’ll do it without hesitation. As long as you are safe and happy, it’s more important to me than anything. Grandpa has already fallen ill, did you know? You must wake up, wake up quickly, do you know? I’m your son! I’m the son you’ve abandoned all these years but have never hated you!”

Xia Jing heard these words, and his fingers moved more frequently. He wasn’t sure if it was his subconscious or something else, but he knew he was guilty toward his son. But there’s a voice urging him to open his eyes quickly to see his son.

Over the years, he knew how much he owed his son. He knew there might be no way his son could be as happy and joyful as before, but it was all his doing. Isn’t it time for a mother to open her eyes and make amends for her child? Should she really let her child grieve like this? If that’s truly the case, what right does she have to be his mother?

”Mom, open your eyes, hurry up and open your eyes. I’m your son, I’m waiting here for you.

I’ve been waiting here for so many days, accompanying you day and night. I’ve never left, and all I hope is that you’ll wake up. Don’t you know how much I long for you to wake up? As long as you can wake up, nothing else matters to me.

Don’t make me worry, don’t let me be sad anymore. As long as you can wake up, it’s more important to me than anything. Wake up, Mom, hurry and wake up to see me, see your grandson. He’s so eager for his grandma to talk to him. Wake up quickly and see Grandpa. Grandpa is still waiting in the ward. He’s grown old because of you, can you really let us all suffer so much responsibility for the two of you, one after another, ending up in the hospital?”

In that instant, Xia Jing suddenly opened his eyes, realizing how bright it was the moment he opened them. It had been too long since he last saw the sunlight, and he couldn’t even remember. He had been trapped in a nightmare he couldn’t escape no matter how he tried. He could hear his son’s cries, but his eyes felt as heavy as a thousand pounds, unable to open. He was afraid, hoping his eyes could open, longing to see his son, his father, and wanting to embrace his grandson. He knew how much he owed over the years; he knew how much debt he had accumulated. All of it was inescapable. He could only rely on his will to live one step at a time to this day. He longed for these years to not be in vain, but today, he finally achieved all that he dreamed of.

The moment he woke up, did he forget why he argued with his husband? He remembered what he had done, choosing to build a constructive career, forgetting the things that made him suffer, remembering only the happiest memories.

Perhaps this is best for him. But his son doesn’t know, nor does he understand why his brain is a chaotic blank, remembering nothing. Only after the doctor’s examination did he find out she had selective amnesia.

She’s awake now, but her husband hasn’t. This is a blow to everyone, yet also a kind of joy. As long as one person wakes up, that’s happiness. As long as we keep waiting, we believe miracles will keep happening.

We embrace loneliness together, but does that mean we aren’t lonely? I remember that all that’s seen through is just dust, and what isn’t seen through is love, which is only a bubble.
