Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

It’s rare for Xiaomi to meet a big sister who also likes hunting in this area. She quickly finished her meal, then went to fetch her own bow and arrow, not forgetting to take out Wei Ziang’s as well.

”The target is hung here, let’s see how skilled we both are?” Xiaomi handed her bow and arrow to Yingying and used Wei Ziang’s for herself.

Their bows and arrows were made of hardwood, with only the arrowheads made of iron.

Yingying frowned slightly at the sight of the extremely simple bow and arrow in front of her, but she didn’t say anything and accepted it.

”Sure, let’s have a competition.”

The two girls, one big and one small, began to compete directly in the courtyard.

One had trained for several years, the other had the support of Spiritual Energy — who would win and who would lose?

Xiaomi let Yingying go first. Yingying didn’t hesitate. Although Xiaomi’s bow and arrow felt a bit awkward for her, she still managed to calm herself, focus her mind, and kept her breath rooted in her dantian as she raised the bow.

With a ’whoosh’, the arrow plunged directly into the target.

It didn’t hit the bullseye, but it was only slightly off.

Xiaomi nodded to herself. The big sister said she could hunt, and it seemed to be true.

She and Wei Ziang had an advantage thanks to the swordsmanship and Spiritual Energy within them, along with their enhanced senses from years of eating food infused with Spiritual Energy.

Their vision, hearing, physical strength, and stamina far exceeded their peers. Absorbing Spiritual Energy through sword practice made it possible for them to experience ’hawk-eye’ sensation in an instant.

But Yingying was different. She was just an ordinary girl; tempted by the comforts of fine clothes and food, she was still able to perform excellently at the age of eleven or twelve.

This must be true love!

Yingying clearly was satisfied with her performance, raising her chin proudly: ”Xiaomi, it’s your turn.”

Her pride made her look very cute, not at all annoying.

Of course, she had every reason to be proud, at least Xiaomi thought so.

”Watch closely, I’m not bad at all.”

When Xiaomi spoke, her brows danced excitedly. In the next moment, she calmed her mind and shot the arrow.

In the next instant, Yingying exclaimed: ”Wow! Xiaomi, you’re amazing!”

Genuine praise and compliments were given freely without feeling unhappy that Xiaomi was equally competent.

Xiaomi modestly said: ”Yingying, you’re just like me.”

Yingying shook her head: ”That’s different, I’m almost twelve, and you’re only a bit over seven.”

Though they were four or five years apart, their archery skills were similar; wasn’t Xiaomi even more exceptional?

At least when Xiaomi turns twelve, she’ll definitely be more skilled than Yingying!

Of course, this is assuming Xiaomi continues to hone her skills.

Indeed, Xiaomi’s arrow landed just about as level as Yingying’s, showing their skills were ’almost the same’.

At least Yingying believed it.

”By the way Xiaomi, didn’t you say your bro is also very skilled? Let him give it a try.”

Among the four boys in the courtyard, aside from Jiang Yu, the others didn’t look very robust, especially the bro that Xiaomi mentioned.

He was fairer than a girl, with a handsome face, Yingying looked at this bro, then at Xiaomi and secretly murmured in her heart.

How could this boy look better than a girl?

Luckily, Xiaomi didn’t have the Mind Reading Technique; otherwise, she would be speechless. Isn’t he just a handsome pretty boy? What’s there to doubt?

But she didn’t have it, so she waved to Wei Ziang, who had already finished eating.

”Bro, come over, give it a try. We’ll go hunting together tomorrow!”

”Okay.”

Wei Ziang picked up the bow and arrow handed over by Xiaomi, stayed calm, and was about to shoot.

”Yingying, I’m telling you, my bro is much better than I am!”

Wei Ziang smiled softly, slightly adjusting the direction of the bow and arrow.

”Really... Wow! Amazing! Bullseye!”

Yingying almost jumped up in excitement: ”Let’s go together, let’s go hunting together tomorrow!”

Being several years younger yet this skilled, not going hunting together would indeed be regrettable!

Wei Ziang glanced at Xiaomi and calmly put down the bow and arrow.

Actually, Xiaomi and he were about the same. Just now, showing the same level as Yingying was probably to respect Yingying’s feelings.

Initially, he thought he’d just try it casually, matching Xiaomi’s level.

But just as he was about to shoot, Xiaomi reminded him, hence he hit the bullseye directly.

Watching the two girls excitedly discussing what prey to hunt tomorrow, Wei Ziang listened for a while, then went to help clear the table.

”Yingying seems to have a nice temperament, Ziang. Are you really going hunting tomorrow?”

Second Aunt wasn’t too reassured.

Yingying obviously is a child from a wealthy family, having her own private estate. It’s likely not just an ordinary wealthy family.

Going to her own estate should be safe, and Yingying also mentioned having guards accompany them.

If they really decided to go, they couldn’t leave the kids to go alone, so everyone must accompany them.

But Second Aunt was just a rural woman, unacquainted with such things. Seeing Yingying with several guards made her a bit worried.

She was afraid of offending the distinguished family.

So when Wei Ziang came over, she followed up with this question.

Wei Ziang thought for a moment: ”Xiaomi really wants to go.”

Seeing Second Aunt somewhat troubled, he comforted her: ”Auntie, don’t worry, Yingying doesn’t seem like those delicate young ladies. She and Xiaomi are quite alike, they’ll likely become good friends.”

Second Aunt also agreed with this: ”I think they are quite similar too, I’ve never seen others like them who enjoy these things so much.”

In Xiangmu Village, there’s a girl Xiangcao, although she now follows Xiaomi in learning hunting, she does it to support the family.

But Xiaomi and that girl Yingying don’t need to, they are genuinely fond of it.

”Auntie, don’t worry. Look at Xiaomi, she seems to really like Yingying. Don’t you trust her? The people she willingly befriends are all kind-hearted.”

At this, Second Aunt did feel reassured.

”You’re right, if that girl Yingying really comes tomorrow, we’ll go together. We still have some rice left from home, so we’ll bring it with us.”

For Second Aunt, treating guests with their own food was already a big gesture, especially with only a few days’ worth of rations left beside what was set aside for Liu Ze and Jiang Yu.

After eating, they would have to buy rice.

But in the next few days, a batch of grain should arrive from Cheng County, which should tide them over till they return home.

Then, Second Aunt checked the grain brought from Cheng County, and took out some deer jerky as well.

The best food on hand right now was this deer jerky.

It seemed like everything was ready for tomorrow’s hunt.
